I just noticed his extra climb animation yesterday! I ended up spending a bunch of time practicing getting into that animation out of gliding with the midair attack - it’s insane how little actual climbing he has to do even outside of Natlan
I love that they experimented a lot (probably?) with Kinich's kit and it makes me very hopeful about the future Natlan or even just the playable characters in general that'll release in the future.
Something to note is that Kinich's grapple will ALWAYS have better distance when using it midair, as opposed to using it on the floor. If you want maximum distance while exploring make sure to jump before using his grapple
Tips on getting all the blind spots (pizza slices) - Without using his Burst Press your attack button once the skill starts without pressing any movement input as Kinich will always moves towards the first blind spot. Fire the cannon once fully charged then press attack button only. Don't input any movement until the blind spot appears to get to the next blind spot. If you need to burst, Do it after you fire the 1st cannon shot, Attack then Move towards the Blind spot. If you do it right you will get 2 cannon shots in quick succession.
I've seen so many people say that a higher investment kinich needs a decent amount of crit rate bcs his first cannon shot is unbuffed... I can't believe that was all misinformation... Thanks for giving me the knowledge...
First most important Kinich tech: switch your voice-over language to Japanese for more Dattebayo and Susanoo points, and pair him with Yoimiya to give him the Unlimited Blade Works buff, which will increase his DMG by 1000% (in your mind.)
in natlan, you can [skill > ajaw climb > midair attack > ajaw climb]x2 for a total of 4 ajaw climb passives!! very good vertical and you can even charge up stamina from 0 to 40% ish while hovering in hold E state! u can scale mountains with kinich i love him!!!

FINALLY SOMEONE TALKED ABOUT THE QUICK HOLD, being able to get 5 cannons without burst is sickkkk, sometimes you gotta manually aim or it aims farther than where the enemy is and sometimes to their side but it makes it feels like quickscope flick and its epic lol. Great video man keep it up 👍👍
Something I’d like to point out after trying him like it’s a new Mario/Spiderman game, he can do a mid-air attack after EVERY swing and since he can do the climbing vault after either a swing or a mid-air attack this means that you can actually wall vault 4 times in a single round in Nathan. I do this by getting some distance from the wall using his skill towards the wall so he actually sticks, vaulting, dropping off for a split second to use mid-air attack while holding towards the wall and he’ll do another vault. Then jump AWAY from the wall and gain a little distance with glider to swing even higher up toward the wall so that he sticks and does another vault, and then repeat the step of dropping and mid-air attacking and thus you’ll get 4 vaults and a TON of wall height without consuming barely any stamina. (Note for walls that are sloped so you slide down them if not climbing, instead of dropping before a mid-air attack, always jump away instead and mid-air attack towards the wall. The timing is more tight but still doable.)
His climbing is actually even better! Mid-air attack is possible after every skill usage. So it's skill -> climb -> attack -> climb -> skill -> climb -> attack -> climb, x4 wall runs as a result. And also when your'e on the wall, you don't need to aim your skill some specific way. Simply pressing skill "into the wall" right after releasing will activate wall run It is truly impressive exploration powercreep boys
Also the way his momentum is sometimes bugged, if a wall is not 100% vertical, it can just shoot you straight to the top if you’re lucky when you grapple into a wall lol
that's a very insightful and well made video, thank you a lot for this. I even saw another big tc77 going on paint to explain how Kinich is supposedly even worse than imagined in multi target because his big AoE hit is locked at the center of the enemy, not knowing you can literally aim it.
also wanna mention that just like raiden, he does not work with beidou, in case anyone was wondering also also, I would add 4pc scroll set above 4pc golden troupe as the energy refund can be useful, the 40% DMG bonus applies to both his skill and burst, and it can buff his off field teammates like Emilie and/or Xiangling for some extra damage.
2:00 I think it will be much easier to adapt to the quick hold mechanic on a keyboard and mouse compared to mobile. There is a learning curve for both platforms, but I would say that it is higher on mobile, as touch screen buttons aren't always the most responsive or as quick as a mouse. Also I agree, quick hold is easier on bosses since you are dealing with a singular target.
Someone mentioned this b4 but with the blind spot I believe usually it spawns on the left, right if the enemy is in the way of your camera/you’re behind or on the right of the enemy. Successive blindspots seem to usually switch between left and right but the camera thing could affect it again
4:31 I also noticed that when I tried to wait a bit and only do 1 normal. That's when I felt like I can constantly deal 5 canon shots. At first its just what I do first against multiple enemies to anticipate their attacks so I won't be staggered (hate it when i accidentally swing right in to the hit box of enemies). But as the more I use that tactic, the more I realized that I can do 5 canon shots that way... Huh neat... Guess it wasn't my imagination after all
9:50 that was my first misconseption. I though his first canon wouldnt get the +40% crit passive, well turns out it was because it activated before the canon hits enemy
i quick way that ive found to get around with him is to use a different character, sprint then swap to kinich mid-sprint so initiate spiderman jump and use his second skill to extend it, then when you land use his skill twice again becasue the quickswap skilkl jump doesn't actually put his skill on cooldown, and by the time you use his actual skill twice you can do the quickswap again, by swapping, sprinting then swapping back mid-sprint.

That's partially true. When you can't control it, you are not immune. But, you lose the immunity way before that. You can reset the immunity to fall damage by your the midair attack. It lasts around 5 seconds after casting the ability or midair attack
idk why nobody is talking about the infinite grapple tech in natlan, you can swicht from another character to kinich to start grapling them use skill again, when you land in the ground you have you skill bc swiching mechanic to grapple in natlan its separate to he skill CD, them use skill in the ground following by 2 skill, them swicht to another caracter and swicht back to kinich for doin grapple swicht and repeat
So there's an even better combo to squeeze out one extra NA nice! Tried it for myself and it does indeed work while still letting you ignore blindspots entirely and you even have enough leeway to quickly aim your hold skill and use 1 tap skill.

It definitely made my abyss run much faster but as a C6 Kinich main the enemy is gone after Skill canon > burst > skill canon> shoot & wait and canon. tip - his blind spot spawn zone depends on which side of the screen the enemy is on for some reason!! i read about it in the wiki, and it seems to be consistent with my own testing. ie, if kinich's target is on the left half of the screen, the blind spot will spawn right of kinich and vice versa.
Another thing I love in kinich is the boss enemy, mountain king for getting material ascension is not that intimidating as other bosses, and tend to be fun to fight
Kinich is so technical (and fun). The most technical character imo. He’s more technical than Alhaitham. This reminds me when people had to figure out Alhaitham’s mirror management and how to do 6 consecutive rain blades with him. It seems Dendro DPS characters require us to really analyze their kits. Dendro being associated with knowledge makes sense, i guess.
It does but I also think this might be a common thing in Natlan. Mualani is much easier to play but with all the new mechanics and Nightsoul this and that it feels like they have a lot of room for technical and interesting kits. Hopefully that's the case because on surface a character like Kinich is still easy to play but it can get much deeper. It's a low floor but high ceiling kind of kit.
you can get even higher by using the midair attack after his first skill too (and climbing before using the skill, and holding the skill to regain stamina)
I just want to say something I notice using Kinich: You can dash out of a 'skill normal attack' animation to reposition yourself and quickly grab the Blind Spot. This is useful if you were heading the wrong way of a Blind Spot and it would take a full circular rotation to reach it; I'm not actually sure if it squeezes out more cannon shots, but it's something of note.
I appreciate a lot the tips. I think Kinich’s are particularly difficult techniques that would be worth another, longer video where you explain them and give detailed advice on how to reproduce them. I keep trying and I managed to reproduce a small part of the climbing combo thanks to some comments I read, but it seems extremely inconsistent, most times Ajaw doesn’t even lift me the first time. Even when it works, the rest can be really difficult, even more if the wall is slightly inclined.
I cannot use the quick hold tech consistently. I'm at 180ms and I think that is the problem. I can do the 5 skills delayed burst rotation just fine. Maybe it's skill issue or maybe its just my shitty ping. Great video, I got Kinich by accident while trying to pull for a single Chevreuse (that still did not come but I'll save my wishes for Xilonen now). He is very fun for exploration so I'm counting this as a win.
I've noticed when exploring with Kinich, is the targetting. When I try to grappling, I sometimes hit an ore or something that triggers Kinich's night soul blessing instead of his grappling mechanic. It's really unnecessary to make him able to target ores.
Holishitto, man) There is no character in the entire game with so many interesting mechanics and stuff... I am still thinking about getting Kinich, but it seems it is a great idea after all. Thanks for your work, truly amazing video
Can you also talk a little bit about whether they are feasible for mobile players? It's the majority platform but very neglected. For eg. Hu Tao is amazing but with jump cancel which is near impossible for mobile players
The quick hold Skill combos are very difficult and clunky even on PC, so I think only a very small minority will be able to perform them on mobile, and not too consistently. Kinich feels very good to play without them though, especially without them. Hu Tao feels better to play using cancels. Without them her kit is barely functional with the auto targeting issues. For Kinich it is the opposite. The normal tap Skill combos feel great and aren’t too hard to perform on mobile.
Just a little correction about the climbing mechanic. Every time Kinich grapples, he refreshes his mid at attack every time he attacks. So to scale a cliff you can do skill, climb, mid air attack, climb, skill, climb, mid air attack, climb
For climbing (in natlan), you should do skill -> midair att -> skill -> midair att instead of skill, skill, midair because it gives u 4 ajaw jump thingies instead of three Other than that I genuinely didn’t think it was possible to get five cannon shots so this video was really helpful!
Someone try this blind spots always First blind spots in the direction you are going then 2 continuous blind spot in opposite direction then last one in the direction of first one Eg. Left, right , right , left
hi big fan of your content! even though i rarely get too caught up the in details of the combos, i admire the people spend so much time exploring it just leaving my opinion that I hope the numbering in your '7' tips is more obvious because it leaves more of a memorable point to recall and its kind of what i like about 'top 10' kinda content, but i guess sometimes it hard to boil it down to just 7 memorable points since there's often more than 7 tips keep up the good work!
I just discovered one new exploration tips. If you walk then sprint changing active character into Kinich, he will use his grapple skill making you get greater distant faster. It's very cool and make exploration smoother. I hope you can make a new video where you can show everybody this move. Anyway thanks for the guide it's very useful 😁
Someone in the comments suggested a rotation for fast travelling that uses that and works great. It was Switch to Grapple > Mid-air E > E again on the ground > Mid-air E > switch to another character > repeat (10s must have passed since the start of the combo).
Hi! Thanks for watching it :) Yes this is called Nightsoul Transmission, I didn't cover it because every Natlan character has it (so far). Basically they use a similar or weaker version of their Skill via switch with 10s of CD. It only works in Natlan though.
Kinich can use ajaw 4 times. So first skill to the wall > pulled by ajaw > then attack mid air > pulled by ajaw > skill again to the wall > pulled by ajaw > and again attack mid air> pulled by ajaw
I was trying to figure his best combos by myself but daaamn u saved me a ton! Btw, with his C1 and a crit weapon, what is the best set for him? I know that the new set is awesome, but in this scenario I feel like he already has a lot of crit (if u have good substats, of course) and may be lacking in DMG% bonuses without someone like furina...
At 8:45 is the "let go -> mid air attack" only work in natlan? I'm (at beginning stage of the game) exploring mondstadt, got used to 1 jump and lift, but can never did the let go -> mid air attack, my kinich always plunges to the ground. But Ive also seen somewhere that Kinich outside natlan can do that let go -> mid air attack. Just not 2 skills in one climb Please teach me D:
It works outside of Natlan yes! One Skill → extra climb → let go for Mid-Air attack → extra climb again. The angle you need to aim is a bit weird, it's hard to explain lmao

I was waiting on team news for Xilonen before i decided to pull for Kinich since I've seen he needs constellations to feel strong. She won't really fit into any of the teams I'm using (except for Nuevillete and he needs no help at C2) so I'm going to C1 Kinich and if there is anything left I'll go for his weapon too.

yup. I have 20cr + obsidian artifacts, he hits critical dmg almost 9 out of 10 times.

You could also drop and wall jump when climbing to reset his skill in exploration if it's not super steep.

Mualani is much easier to play but with all the new mechanics and Nightsoul this and that it feels like they have a lot of room for technical and interesting kits. Hopefully that's the case because on surface a character like Kinich is still easy to play but it can get much deeper. It's a low floor but high ceiling kind of kit.

you can get even higher by using the midair attack after his first skill too (and climbing before using the skill, and holding the skill to regain stamina)
I just want to say something I notice using Kinich:
You can dash out of a 'skill normal attack' animation to reposition yourself and quickly grab the Blind Spot. This is useful if you were heading the wrong way of a Blind Spot and it would take a full circular rotation to reach it; I'm not actually sure if it squeezes out more cannon shots, but it's something of note.
I appreciate a lot the tips. I think Kinich’s are particularly difficult techniques that would be worth another, longer video where you explain them and give detailed advice on how to reproduce them.
I keep trying and I managed to reproduce a small part of the climbing combo thanks to some comments I read, but it seems extremely inconsistent, most times Ajaw doesn’t even lift me the first time. Even when it works, the rest can be really difficult, even more if the wall is slightly inclined.

I cannot use the quick hold tech consistently. I'm at 180ms and I think that is the problem. I can do the 5 skills delayed burst rotation just fine. Maybe it's skill issue or maybe its just my shitty ping.
Great video, I got Kinich by accident while trying to pull for a single Chevreuse (that still did not come but I'll save my wishes for Xilonen now). He is very fun for exploration so I'm counting this as a win.

I've noticed when exploring with Kinich, is the targetting. When I try to grappling, I sometimes hit an ore or something that triggers Kinich's night soul blessing instead of his grappling mechanic. It's really unnecessary to make him able to target ores.

Same here! Even though my Mualani does more damage, I end up using Kinich anyway lol
@@Etherian_Clod both kinich and mualani does similar dmg, Kinich atacks more fast and Mualani more slow but with high dmg
For the blind spot I noticed they always appear on the side of the enemy that I predicted it’s appearance correctly a few times

Can you also talk a little bit about whether they are feasible for mobile players? It's the majority platform but very neglected. For eg. Hu Tao is amazing but with jump cancel which is near impossible for mobile players
The quick hold Skill combos are very difficult and clunky even on PC, so I think only a very small minority will be able to perform them on mobile, and not too consistently. Kinich feels very good to play without them though, especially without them.
Hu Tao feels better to play using cancels. Without them her kit is barely functional with the auto targeting issues. For Kinich it is the opposite. The normal tap Skill combos feel great and aren’t too hard to perform on mobile.

Just a little correction about the climbing mechanic. Every time Kinich grapples, he refreshes his mid at attack every time he attacks. So to scale a cliff you can do skill, climb, mid air attack, climb, skill, climb, mid air attack, climb
For climbing (in natlan), you should do skill -> midair att -> skill -> midair att instead of skill, skill, midair because it gives u 4 ajaw jump thingies instead of three
Other than that I genuinely didn’t think it was possible to get five cannon shots so this video was really helpful!

First blind spots in the direction you are going then 2 continuous blind spot in opposite direction then last one in the direction of first one
Eg. Left, right , right , left
Better climbing combo is
Skill into wall
Let go (using jumling away from the wall) and mid-air attack into wall
(Repeat) if in natlan

just leaving my opinion that I hope the numbering in your '7' tips is more obvious because it leaves more of a memorable point to recall and its kind of what i like about 'top 10' kinda content, but i guess sometimes it hard to boil it down to just 7 memorable points since there's often more than 7 tips

I just discovered one new exploration tips. If you walk then sprint changing active character into Kinich, he will use his grapple skill making you get greater distant faster. It's very cool and make exploration smoother. I hope you can make a new video where you can show everybody this move. Anyway thanks for the guide it's very useful 😁
Someone in the comments suggested a rotation for fast travelling that uses that and works great. It was Switch to Grapple > Mid-air E > E again on the ground > Mid-air E > switch to another character > repeat (10s must have passed since the start of the combo).
Hi! Thanks for watching it :) Yes this is called Nightsoul Transmission, I didn't cover it because every Natlan character has it (so far). Basically they use a similar or weaker version of their Skill via switch with 10s of CD. It only works in Natlan though.
Kinich can use ajaw 4 times. So first skill to the wall > pulled by ajaw > then attack mid air > pulled by ajaw > skill again to the wall > pulled by ajaw > and again attack mid air> pulled by ajaw

I know that the new set is awesome, but in this scenario I feel like he already has a lot of crit (if u have good substats, of course) and may be lacking in DMG% bonuses without someone like furina...

if i’m not mistaken, his fall damage immunity ends when you can’t move around as you’re falling.
At 8:45 is the "let go -> mid air attack" only work in natlan? I'm (at beginning stage of the game) exploring mondstadt, got used to 1 jump and lift, but can never did the let go -> mid air attack, my kinich always plunges to the ground. But Ive also seen somewhere that Kinich outside natlan can do that let go -> mid air attack. Just not 2 skills in one climb

It works outside of Natlan yes! One Skill → extra climb → let go for Mid-Air attack → extra climb again. The angle you need to aim is a bit weird, it's hard to explain lmao

I have a question as a new genshin player. So I just started, and whaled a bit and got kinich. Which GS should I enhance to 40 or 50? I have sacrificial sword and Favonius GS. My AR is now stopping at 25 and kinich at 39. Currently farming and exploring around. Thanks
I think Kinich will be recognized as SSS rank when more buffers will be introduced in the roster

I was waiting on team news for Xilonen before i decided to pull for Kinich since I've seen he needs constellations to feel strong. She won't really fit into any of the teams I'm using (except for Nuevillete and he needs no help at C2) so I'm going to C1 Kinich and if there is anything left I'll go for his weapon too.
