I went to High School with Charlie’s son. So Charlie and his band would set up in our gym and preform live and totally rock out. He was a great and generous man and his son is a great person. RIP Charlie.

@@yuriwalczak6354 Thank you for saying that, it's very kind of you to take the time. I was working at Sheplers Western Wear in the early 70's. I'd been in the basement stocking some boots and after I came back up to civilization the guys told me Charlie Daniels came in off his bus with his band and roadies and bought everybody new hats and they were all having the brims custom shaped. He paid with a roll of hundred dollar bills that would choke a horse.🤣🤣🤠🤠 He also bought himself a new hat and as usual it was HUGE. His eyes were so bad and his glasses so thick he used that big brim to hide them from the spotlights on stage. Years later he had surgery to correct it and for a while didn't even use glasses anymore.
He was by all accounts a very fine gentleman.

Im so happy that back in 2005 I had the awesome privilege to see and really enjoy The Charlie Daniel's Band in a private concert that the company I worked for set up at the factory and it was just completely amazing. We were a small factory and made military tents for the gov. They really gave back to the employees by doing that. Charlie Daniels is a true American Legend if there ever was one. RIP Charlie, you gave me and my wife and coworkers memories and music that will last us the rest of our lives.

I saw a Charlie Daniels show in Merrillville, IN back in the 90's.
He invited a local kid who played violin to play a song onstage with him. While the kid was going into his solo the violin cut out. The band kept the progression going and when it was time for the solo part the kid's violin cut out again.
Without hesitation Charlie handed the kid his own violin and the kid performed his solo to a standing ovation.
    Charlie was a great man.
