Um.....Wow. Just wow. So dramatic. Chunky riff....just full throttle with those amazing strings and choir in the background. Crazy good.

Comment 2 . I think you are ready to listen and react to the pure orchestra versions of their songs . That brings home just how frelling good a composer Christos is .

I've binge watching your reactions that I missed so far and this one is one of the giddiest and funniest til now! You look like a child opening Christmas gifts! Hahaha 😂 but that's what SF does: they move us, hit us hard, drop our jaws. I love these guys! ❤ BTW, you should watch this whole show w/ the orchestra. You'll be mesmerized til the end.

Even within this whole masterpiece "live in mexico": the most magic moments are the songs "persepolis" and "dogma of Prometheus"! Pure passion, and you can see how much the band is into what they are doing, love it!

I was fully in septicflesh (as sympho death metal is my favorite genre), until one day spotify recommended me "Avatar of hate"'s "Requiem for the faithless", meanwhile Avatar of hate is like a Very underground collective. Now I have two favorite bands in my playlist. I wish you dig them both, you won't regret checking any single track :3

this song has been on the daily playlist for 2 weeks or more. I can't stop listening to her. At the moment it's number 1 for me from Septicflesh, an absolute masterpiece. Well, the live version with the intro makes your jaw drop. This epic choir is like the soundtrack to some blockbuster

RIGHT! The choir is otherworldly! This was soooo amazing.

Your reaction to Septicflesh is bringing back some serious memories for me, as they effected me in a similar way....a few years back. I had to go backwards through their entire discography. This entire Mexico concert was fantastic. Dimmu Borgir was my Gateway (pun intended) to Orchestrated Metal back in the early 00's and I have been enjoying this kind of metal ever since. I would recommend Carach Angren, Ne Obliviscaris and Cradle Of Filth as a few other bands that you might enjoy. I look forward to your continued journey through Septicflesh. All their albums since the turn of the century have been top notch. Enjoy!

This track is a lot of reactor's first tracks from Septicflesh, and it serves great both as that and as one to come to once already a fan. They really do never disappoint :) Another must-see from this show is "Persepolis", though I slightly prefer the studio version personally.

Greeks gave and still give great values to the world, in full force:
Vangelis (one of the greatest electronic music musicians ever, scoring Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Conquest of Paradise, Mythodea, Blade Runner, Chariots of Fire and so on...)
Mikis Theodorakis (composer notorious for Sirtaki or Zorba's dance)
Septicflesh, Rotting Christ, two behemots of metal
Villagers of Ioannina City (ethnic prog metal)
    Nightfall (another little gem)
The list can be updated with even more stuff. If you never heard about Rebetiko, Sirtaki would be a great introduction into the genre.

As said in the comments, you are ready for the orchestral versions. ALSO, now that I remember, check out CHAOSTAR. That's a classical opera and vocal orchestra by Christos, a some what neo-classical music.
