I did this job the other day it took 90 minutes and a lot of swearing. His plugs were indeed original as were mine. I had trouble with the #5 plug as he did in fact I shattered the ceramic part and it was vacuumed out before it fell in the hole. I used NGK Iridium IX. In all honesty my car is a lot cleaner than his only 86,000 miles on it. You have to have the right tools which I bought for this job. I did this because I thought the $185 that my mechanic wanted to charge was too high. I apologized the next day to him and he laughed.
185? My dealer wanted over a thousand and swapped out the coil packs without my consent. I had them put my old ones back in and I bought a set for a hundred and did it myself. That was nuts.
Just like my '02 - oil leaking under the cover and SRS "airbag warning light failure" warning on the dashboard! Great pair of videos, thanks. Will be watching your PCV ones next.
Unless an Iridium plug has been dropped on the floor on the business end and the gap is obviously closed up, it should not be adjusted after purchase - you can ruin the plug that way.

This was an excellent vid of what to do. Thanks!
Can I bring my car over to your place? Hahaha!
