Contrast that with “Splash” where the success of that film was *contingent on Daryl Hannah’s amazing performance as Madison the mermaid.*
It didn’t help that the films Daryl did AFTER “Blade Runner” were also *critical and commercial failures* like “Summer Lovers”, “The Final Terror”, and “Reckless” (“Splash” not withstanding of course! 😂).
