Lovely looking bowl and a great idea on the glue up of the Mahogany. Hope you weren't hurt when it went for a quick flight. Take care. Cheers, Huw

Luckily the bowl was spinning just under 1000 rpm, so it sat up quite nicely for an easy one handed catch! Thanks for watching 👍😃

I let the glue dry for 24 hours, then gave it another 48 hours to be sure, so 3 days in total.

Can you tell me the rough dimensions of the original blocks? I’d love to try something like this when I get a chance. Thanks for posting your work!

3inch square Ash spindle blank that was just under 16 inches long. Thank for watching.

Efficient and effective use of mahogany! I am looking for methods to effectively collect dust and shavings noticed wood or cardboard behind lathe?? Is this to trap or collect waste?
    Thank you. David

Thank you for watching. I simply trap the dust and shavings, then manually remove them every half an hour or so. It's basic, but it works for me.
