I've been more than a little directionless for the last couple years (recovering from an almost disastrous 2018 to 2022...GAH!) . Time to create a new direction for myself. Merri 😄thank you so much for the kind words - it's funny i still feel very stiff whenever I film but i think it's just taking a lot of time & practice now to hopefully eventually shake that feeling 🤞i'm very glad it doesn't come off that way! i had to take a short break between the traveling and catching a cold but i'm excited to be getting back in the swing of things! "Notion" is AWESOME there are soo many incredibly handy templates in there for organizing yourself! I barely scrape the surface - there are some true Notion wizards out there in the productivity space. I absolutely resonate with the struggle of getting over the hump when you've been feeling directionless and want to start getting back on track - I'm currently on that journey myself so we'd be in it together 😊I'm sorry you had a tough period for a few years, but I always find the addage "we grow through what we go through" very comforting 🌱🌻ready for the renaissance!!
How did I miss that you're MOVING TO NYC?! 🎉 I'm a very biased east coast girlie at heart but yay! Excited to follow along on your adventures there. Honestly you're moving at the right time - the apartment market slows down a bit in the winter months and inventory tends to sit longer (and is cheaper!). There may be fewer options but you hopefully won't have to deal with as much of the mad scramble thunderdome experience of apartment hunting in the spring and summer 🤣also this net worth at your age is so dang impressive, well done! 👏
i think you first came into my ~feed~ from both your experience leaving NYC and personal finance content!! i loved learning from everything you shared and how highly you spoke of your time there before the challenges at the end🌻fingers crossed BIG TIME that i can find somewhere cheaper in the winter apartment lull🤞i'm an east coast girl but have been comfortably chilling in california for a whileee now so i'm really excited to see what NYC has in store for me 🌇in an era of trying to push myself and grow! need to toughen up really quickly before i return to winter hahah
even as little as 2-3 minutes before bed makes all the difference for me at least! but i really miss the dedicated hour+ i would get in yoga back when i was practicing regularly.. will have to see if i can find a good studio after the move🤞
@ Yoga is definitely helpful and excellent. Mobility is key as we age. I know what I need to be doing yet I haven’t run or done yoga in 2.5 weeks 🥹 Ima get my life together tho LOL

this is SUCH good reminder!!! it's funny how one day i'm feeling this in my soul and the next day i'm like "filming feels awkward" hahah but all a part of the new creator process! it definitely has been getting easier so i just gotta keep at it 🤠
it's encouraging that i've started to feel more confident in my personal finance journey because let me tell you i had NO clue what was going on a few years back - had to teach myself everything 😅can't get too invested in the number though because you never know if the market will tank 🤷
Vlogging is definitely a weak spot for me. I just don’t think running to grab tea and groceries is interesting but apparently people love that kinda stuff LOL
there really is an audience appetite!! for me especially i just love travel vlogs that are informative so that's what i'll try out to start. i like the idea of focusing on the other content areas you enjoy first and then maybe later introducing vlogging once you've built more of a community and want to get more personal/vulnerable, but who knows! all things to experiment and play around with in time😊

I definitely need to stretch more regularly. Daily is a good routine that I need to adopt!
