Tip: Instead of 'V' most of the EVE player base (especially pvp'ers) uses the 'Spacebar' hotkey for scanning with D-scan. That key on your keyboard is hard to forget or miss.
True. I have noticed many do that, but funny thing is I find Spacebar is better for Stop Ship command since Stopping one's Ship is much more important to do at short notice instead of the (somewhat more convoluted) default combination of Ctrl-Space. This is basically the only Shortcut suggestion I offer new Capsuleers, besides making sure all other Shortcuts align with smooth gameplay for them subjectively. Remember, just because most people do it, doesn't mean it is the "correct" or most optimal way to do it. Regrettably, I find many more seasoned Capsuleers fall into a comfortable groove albeit placing them at a disadvantage, but I think I will save that for a more in-depth video later.
