    I know you've gone through a lot, but I wanted you to know how much you inspire me every time I watch one of your videos. You just exude positivity, class, and perseverance. You let us into your life enough to know what's going on, but you don't air out every emotion on the internet, and I think that takes a lot of strength when you have the platform and audience to do so. Instead, you maintain a very strong demeanor and presence and I admire that very much. Thank you for showing everyone how to present ones self with humble elegance and pride. Love your videos. Love your personality. Keep it up!

      I couldn't agree more. Dominique have been the light from the lighthouse for me in helping me to turn around my life in ways that I just didn't know how to. When you see that there is someone that is going through similar situations and thinks it through it makes the problem less to tackle and more to handle. I have been tuning into Dominique's videos almost from the beginning and I am so very thankful that she developed a platform for us to speak about what we women really put attention to and worry us sometimes whether it be relationships, how you perceive yourself and how to look better while facing these challenges and changes. Her book has been a light-bulb moment in many chapters as I read through it.

    We are not all destined for marriage. I am approaching 60 and never married, that special connection has eluded some of us. Does not mean that we have not had painful, heartbreaking relationships. We all need a hand getting back up on that horse. Agree completely about positivity, and gratitude. Even when at your lowest find something to be grateful for, and how classy and respectful that some things remain private.

    I am almost 57 and I love pro aging. I have allowed my grey hair sparkle, I do absolutely nothing invasive to my face and I feel amazing. I also had to stop HRT because I had cancer concerns and health issues. I just started eating well ( plant based) and intermittently fasting. I exercise regularly and I feel the best I ever have. Be happy! Give back to others and continue to grow. Also surround yourself with good people. 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa

    Gosh, this was wonderful! I laughed, got tears in my eyes, and felt better about life afterward. You are so inspiring - especially when talking about your faith. Life can kick you right in the chops…we can wallow in it all, or we can pick up the pieces, learn from it, be grateful, and find a better way for ourselves. You are such a great example of how to shine in spite of it all. I just love you to pieces, and I thank you. ❤

    “Whose life are you living?” SO profound and thought-provoking, Dominique! Thank you.
    And thank you so much for mentioning the importance and joy of having animals in one’s life! I am 64 and a longtime animal rescuer. I would not want to live without the unconditional love and companionship I get from animals.
    And to those who asked about reconnecting with life as a result of pandemic isolation, if you don’t yet feel comfortable being around a lot of humans, go volunteer at an animal shelter or rescue. Just sit on the floor and “be” with homeless cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs… whatever kind of animal with which you most connect. They are OUTSTANDING listeners! And they will make you belly laugh with their silly antics. They are good for the soul! Time spent with them-and Mother Nature in general-can be extremely impactful, rewarding… even educational. And who knows… you may come home with the best “mate” you’ve ever had in your life! 😉❤️

    Dear Dominique,
    I've watched you from the beginning. I was devastated when you shared that your marriage ended. I cried for you. Even though I am older than you, I looked at you as my mentor. Here we are, over a year ago when your life changed. I'm so pleased to see you smile and enjoying your new journey. You look beautiful and happy. We have all experienced challenges. I'm a cancer survivor and thank God above for all the blessings in my life; and there are many. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I'm internally greatful for your guidedance and your kindness. Love and light, Sarah from Boston🙏❤☀😘

      My sincere condolences on the loss of your sister and mother-in-law from this dreaded desease. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for being cancer free. I still am terrified that it will rear it's ugly head. It's been 10 years. Please be diligent in check ups. If you even think something is wrong you get yourself to the doctors and get a mammogram. Be your own healthcare advocate! I will add you to my prayer list. We are so lucky to live in a day and age where science has improved in detecting problems at the get go. Please take good care of you! ~Sarah~

    I like how you come across now...meaning after your career shift and your personal relationship and living situation shift. You seem so much more honest, approachable and ultimately free. That is so attractive, appealing and inspiring. Every time we see someone be the way we want to be, it gives us permission to do and be it ourselves. i know we shouldn't wait for someone else to be 'the first' but it doesn't hurt to have positive examples to draw from. i also like the casual style you are displaying. I am an actor... in Hollywood so I am always having to 'doll myself up' for work or auditions or just for meetings and when I am not in any of those situations I love wearing my yoga gear, put my hair in a ponytail and just wear sunscreen and some lip gloss and that's it. Let's make the best of 2023, no matter what comes with it or what its thrown at us form the outside. I believe we still have control over our mind, our focus and our inner life and Heart so here we go....

    I too have been through 2 divorces and you're right, no matter what the circumstance they are painful. I also had a 5 year relationship end last year this time, we never married. I was so down, it was more painful than my divorces. I reconnected with a friend from high school this past May by divine intervention 🙂and we are very much in love . Who would've thought and he helped me find my first Jeep also! I love it so much, it makes me happy to drive it. I say all that to say life has a way of working out even when you think it won't. I recite the Lord's prayer over and over, along with deep breathing, and at times when I'm feeling extremely stressed I'll hold my Bible close to my heart, and recite the Lord's prayer. I try to do that every night when I go to bed, but more often than not I fall asleep before I finish 😄. It always always calms me down. God Bless you in the new year. 🙏❤

So many parts, you challenged me: how to conduct myself in the workplace and not isolate, not isolating or sitting on the sidelines of life, giving others (& myself) grace, as well as other helpful things you shared. I can relate to what you said about the perfectionism and how that affected other areas and relationships you had and how you had to kind of retrain yourself about how you do authentic, loving relationships. I am still in contact with my son's first wife. They were high school sweethearts, he was head over heels from day one. She wasn't so much. He joined the Army, eventually went SF, which meant 6 month deployments every year. She wanted kids, he didn't want to be an absent father. They ended up divorced, but friendly. She remarried and has 3 kids! Beautiful kids! He remarried, and they have none and won't. My reasoning is that they wanted different things from life. Unfortunately, they found out too late that they wanted different things. I would no sooner expect her to give up her dreams of life than I would him. So they split, amicably, and are still friendly to each other. She has a new husband and three kids that are her life. She's a great mom! He has a new wife and the freedom to pick up and go when they want! Win/win in my mind. It's sad that a love story didn't work out, but splitting and going after your dreams is sooooo much healthier than sticking it out for public opinion.

    I might be a bit tardy in watching your Q&A however, I believe God is in control and places you where and when for your good and growth,and, that’s exactly how I feel.
    I relate to so much of what you’ve shared and how you’ve CHOSEN to use it for good, exactly what God intended.
    It’s been many years for me. Years of pain, love, joy, forgiving, praying, being Still, surrendering control (whew that’s a biggie) and now I’m happy to say, I’m enjoying the blessings God has placed in my life and I understand it ALL comes from Him. Learning what I needed to learn to get to this place of joy through the storms and continued growth is the goal- inner peace. I want to say to you Miss Dominique, you shine. Your growth and inner peace shows and His light shines through you!!! I’m hooked on your channel lol I thank you for your love of people, your grace and poise through the muck, your transparency and I pray you continue on Gods path with courage, strength, joy and discernment and that you continue to lead by example, It’s the only way through the heartbreak and hurt and to use our testimony to help others. Blessings, Liz from Long Island, NY. (A yankee with a southern heart lol) ❤🙏

    Dominique, I can relate to you on so many levels. I love your transparency yet maintaining privacy all in the right ways. You’re an amazing role model for women of all ages. How did you meet your new man? You should do a video on that. I’ve been single for 11 yrs and am open to meeting someone as a companion. I’m 64 and am financially self sufficient but miss having someone in my life.

    Thank You Dominique for sharing some of your life updates with us, I totally enjoyed listening to you, you’ve been through a lot over the years by the sounds of it and you’ve definitely come out on the other side a better person who can tackle just about anything life throws at you, I have to say that your Mum is Wonderful for her age, she’s the same age as my Mum who has early stages of Dementia and she’s ready to go into a nursing home (her decision) for the past 12 months I’ve been her only caregiver and doing everything for her, showering her, cooking her meals so that I know she’s eating healthy, taking her to Drs appointments, you name it, I’ve been doing it, all for her and in the process, Getting Abused and She’s So Ungrateful for everything I do for her, Your Very Blessed to have an independent Mumma, I wouldn’t know what that’s like. You make me happy! I watched this intently. I loved most of the questions and I think you touched on one of mine about growing your hair out and the future color of it. The way you handle intrusive questions is remarkable. You handled them with dignity, grace and respect, but first and foremost, respect to yourself, keeping in mind that there are other people in the equation, and they don't deserve to be treated without grace and respect. Anyone who tunes in to you each week as I do, knows that you've gone through a life change and at this point it should stay at that. You inspire me and there are things you say and how you express yourself that make me smile because we are very similar. You carry yourself with no ego and that is who I am. As far as narcissists and friendships who no longer serve you, well, that tapped right into my life. I've had friendships that no longer served me (one of them being a narcissist when I was a teenager), and I removed myself. By the way, we happen to love the same music (I'm a huge George Michael fan and still mourn his passing). Perhaps I see many similarities when watching you because I am 56, turning 57 next month and I am proud of how far I've come. I, too, have one child, a daughter who will be 18 at the end of this month, and I couldn't agree more with what you laid out about parenting. My slogan has always been that there is no instruction manual, but the things that I wanted from my own parents, I will now impart to my own child. Thank you, Dominique, for the most inspiring video. I love all of them, but this one told me so much more and reached me more in so very many ways. Much respect and love from this fan! Thank you! Elena

    Dominique, your video truly touched my heart on so many levels. ♥ I love what you shared about perfectionism because I think I've struggled with this all of my life trying to live up to what my family, husband, and even friends expected from me and not once, stopping to say, what do I want to do and why can't I just simply be myself, mistakes, wrong turns, and all! I've had quite a year too, with my best friend dying suddenly and my dear mother passing away as well, plus in 2021, my husband passed away and my younger brother, so the heartaches just keep coming but I pray to God that I can find self acceptance and know that things will get better one day at a time. Thank you so much for many of your heartfelt and honest answers to questions that many of us wonder about in our own lives.....you are a beautiful lady and may you have a blessed and very happy and healthy 2023.

    Dominique, I watched this when you first posted it and rewatching it now, after what you've been through recently, part of me wishes you could have been protected from the new pain you've recently faced, but I do believe your mom is with you now, closer than ever, and guiding you. For those who ask about the process of divorce looking for guidance, my "inspiration" during mine was Princess Diana. We both married at the same age, around the same time actually, and when she had the COURAGE to go through such a brutal and public divorce, she gave me the courage to do it myself. Sometimes we need people to look to for the inspiration and courage, with the knowledge that if you got through it, so can we. And I will forever remember Diana for that, as some may thank you for your inspiration. We fans of yours all appreciate your honestly and respect. Love your videos and so darn happy for you. Divorce is brutal, let's be honest, no matter what the circumstances. But EVERYONE is "entitled" to be happy and fulfilled. You owe it to yourself and your children to have that, for everybody's sake. Nobody gets a medal when they get to the pearly gates for allowing themselves to be treated like a doormat, or for being a martyr. Where there is a will, there IS a way, and praying to God helps to provide that. God bless you and all those here who are going through difficulties.

      Sorry I disagree that Ceron is a phenomenal hairdresser. He gave Audrey "hot roots" (means brighter then the ends) and spaghetti like highlights in one of the videos. He didn't think it through and was probably full of himself to correct it. :(

    • @Deelitee
      @Deelitee ปีที่แล้ว

      @@janal.3361 hey! So, can you give me advice on that? If you ask the stylist to correct a problem with color, should they do that at no cost? And what if they put you off for a month or more to do so??

    • @janal.3361
      @janal.3361 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Deelitee If the color is pretty, but you don't like it on you, the hairdresser usually tells you to sleep on it and come back in a week or so. You might actually like it as you get used to it. But if there is something wrong with the color, then the colorist should fix it right then. You can tone the hair etc. Audrey's roots were "hot" (red) and the highlights were over bleached. Ceron should have corrected the roots with another color to counteract the red and tone the highlights so they don't look like spaghetti.

I remembered coming home exhausted and unsettled from school and on rare occasion turning the tv on to hope to fall asleep and seeing your bright and calming presence and noticing your beauty as well. I thought you were a rising star back then but wouldn't have known more than 2 decades later that your star is really rising now...I wish you all the happiness and recovery in the world. I know what it means to have feelings of anxiety and trauma from an external source or situation that you could never imagine you would find yourself in. Thank you for validating feelings that you shouldn't stay in settings that dont serve you (for pure minded people). Gentle hug for a pure minded woman.
