The difference in portrait mode blur comes from that the pixel has two lenses and hence can map and measure the actual depth and distance in the scene. The iPhone se only has one camera and relies on image recognition purely. It’s the same difference in accuracy between the SE and iPhones with two lenses. I use iPhone, so am biased, but for sure like the skin tones and colours on the iPhone SE more. The pixel looks more natural though and sharper.
What are you talking about? Pixels don't even use the second lens while taking portraits. You can place your finger in the lens and see. And skin tones of pixel 6a is way better because of the real tone feature.
Great video and it would seem the 6A has the edge, but the IPhone isn't far behind. One other comment and this has nothing to do with the picture quality but more ergonomics - the IPhone SE is actually easier to hold, whereas the Google phone is bigger and probably more likely to be dropped especially if you are using one hand.
Nobody needs to shoot in 24fps. That's ancient technology that really had nothing to do with video quality; it was a cost-saving method. Shooting at 30 (or 60fps) gives you a much smoother video.
Simple answer to your first question at the intro of your video is yes, buy used, say 2-3 years old and get a bargain. I recently got a Samsung S20 ultra unlocked, 16 gb ram, 512 gb hdd, near perfect condition 200 UK pounds, yes might be better cameras out there but 1200 UK pounds better? don't think so!
I have the SE 2020 version… and it has been great. The phone is super fast, photos and videos great for both city and landscapes for vacations. The phone I had before was a MOTO G power and the camera was “okay” but not great at all
The fact that iOS and Android is the main factor when pulling the trigger and the iPhone is always a safe choice, I would pick the pixel 6a just because how exciting it is everytime I take a photo and wait for the result. It brings me joy to use it.
I bought the pixel 5a after being sold on the camera software, and though the pictures came out nicely, taking the photos and videos were a mess. Take the actual photo took forever to register, meaning if you press the button to snap a shot, it takes a few seconds to actually take it and then a few extra seconds to process… if you move, you make a mistake. Videos looked good, but the phone gets too hot too quick. I like the iPhone SE, it’s a better experience.
Due to certifications, it seems that Pixel 6A has not been allowed to connect to several 5G bands used outside of USA and maybe Japan or UK, thus in several European countries there's a limited 5G access and even slight problem on LTE ones, especially in CEE region... though perhaps impacting EMEA regions as a whole. Basically, where there is no official distributor channel, there's a high chance that Google has not had their devices certified, thus issues with carriers' bands may occure, limiting advanced features. Apple seems to have had their handhelds certified everywhere and offer SE everywhere... Still, at that premium they're coming, they're less of a proper intro into Apple iPhone ecosystem, so less useful to actually have, than what 6A does for current Pixel & Android ecosystem.
Apple seems to be deliberately limiting the quality of SE's cameras for marketing purposes. Google successfully upgraded the performance of cameras with their software to the level comparable to its higher-end models.
The SE just doesnt seem worth it outside of camera. Only if you really really want an apple device, dont want it used, and for cheap, then sure the SE does fit you, but even then, why?
Sincerely, I would add the Galaxy A53 to this. What the Pixel and th iPhone have in terms of computational photography, the A53 has in brute force (megapixel count)... And is cheaper.
I used to care about the best camera, it don’t matter to me anymore since when I upload it to social media the quality is degraded. This iPhone will do just fine for another 5 years

The SE is an older phone with an updated chip.
Did he just pull @everydaydad 's "Let's find out"
excellent video I agree the 6a offer a better experience for the money.
I like the pixel 6a , but if you take a lot video's the iPhone SE is the way to go
Great video and it would seem the 6A has the edge, but the IPhone isn't far behind.
24fps is always more cinematic and evocative though. Although you can always downsample it from a higher fps.
Actually i like iphone se.. But because the camera doesn't have 16:9 aspect ratio makes me not choose iphone se. 😔
The iPhone SE 2022 has 16:9 aspect, so dont know why you say that
Great 👍 phone video yet again
I wanna buy a pixel 5a,will it be available in the uk?brand new or a used one, either one would work...😐
Simple answer to your first question at the intro of your video is yes, buy used, say 2-3 years old and get a bargain.
The phone I had before was a MOTO G power and the camera was “okay” but not great at all
What was the price of your Moto phone?
The fact that iOS and Android is the main factor when pulling the trigger and the iPhone is always a safe choice, I would pick the pixel 6a just because how exciting it is everytime I take a photo and wait for the result. It brings me joy to use it.
For most people, its the brand though. Not the OS.
“Salt and Pepper Daddy” 🤣
6a's photography really reminds me of my old 3a. i wish google brings back the minimal design for their future pixel release.
Oh my God those iPhone pics makes my eyes hurt, I'm legally blind now
Yeah 🤣
I'd pick the 6a overt he SE. The iPhone SE overall is way overpriced for what it offers, not just lacking in the camera department.
Believe it or not , pixel does great in terms of competitional photography ,no other phone on merket can't beat up 👍

I used to care about the best camera, it don’t matter to me anymore since when I upload it to social media the quality is degraded. This iPhone will do just fine for another 5 years
You Do have a good point there
If you were talking about the 13 yeah that's true, but the se, really?? Dude that phone will last no mote than 2 years
@@theshyguy3269 I have the iPhone 13 pro , the iPhone 13 mini and my iPhone X , everyone uses devices differently so you might get 2 years out of one device while others might get 3-5 years
@@theshyguy3269 why do you think that?
Imagine using iPhone that has 2017 design for next 5 years 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🤧
The first ever comparison in which I see Apple losing
Is your friend's name Soso? Is he Georgian?
Pixel by a mile, to begin with you have double the storage, an ultra wide camera, night sight, spam screening, google hold, google transcript, and google assistance that it is much better than siri, a bigger screen and a design that is not 6 years old!!
iPhone's photo is always warmer. Too warm. That's the thing I hate about iPhone's camera. Too warm.
Yeah, iPhone is always warm, pixel is always too cool and Samsung is always too saturated
Yeah more more than your asian raw dish...
Nice video
I choose the IPhone any day. Why? Because the 6a will most likely overheat itself and shut off the camera when I need to use it, just liken my 5a
Le me watching videos to understand which mobile to buy:
Watches videos since a week, tech review channel, which one would you buy? Me still confused
Interesting that bigger sensors doesn’t actually gives that much better images quality yet. Maybe phone camera manufacturers should take from the james webb 🔭 wait! phone cameras doesn’t have mirrors right. I’m going for the 6a when the price is right.
What do you mean the Price Is Right. Do you want the phone for free you have to be a TH-camr for that. And also the only cameras that I know of with mirrors inside of them are the telephoto cameras on the 6 Pro and the s22 Ultra!
@@TaureanSmoke it's going to drop another 100 in two months to 350 midrange phone market. Samsung A53 is 350 and in many ways a better phone than the 6a.
When did Ron Jeremy start doing phone comparisons?
$450 is not affordable price tag for everyone. We have much better options.
What about the performance???
You don't want to know, the tensor is absolutely no comparison to the iPhone chip
They should do iphone 13 mini vs Google pixel 6a
simply love the SE body
Too many ads on this video. It's awful. 👎🏻
6A
The battery life on the se is garbage vs the 6a as well huge deal for me
SE 2024 better AT LEAST use the notch design of the 11 or the 12 mini.
I guess that people who buy Iphone SE don't care much about camera performance.
Pixel is fantastic
It's not even close, the iPhone SE 2022 is so disappointing, worst iPhone upgrade ever. 2 years pretty just brought 5G
