    So many of the parts he said were “easy to work on” were designed by Lotus, not including the electronic parts.

    • @sebione3576
      @sebione3576 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Actually, the lotus chassis had to be completely redesigned because it was not designed with electric motors or the weight of a massive battery pack in mind. The engineers at Tesla regretted using the lotus body, because it turned out to be more work to modify than building their own from scratch. There are few moving parts on an electric car. This mechanic is not lying.

      @@user-vf1mz1qc9v gas doesn't spontaneously combust unlike batteries witch are known for it and gas fires aren't nearly as brutal as batteries. With gas you get the initial flash if the vapors are aloud to build up witch only lasts for like half a second after that you just have an open flame that will burn at around 500 degrees and is very easy to put out or at least contain its also impossible for liquid gasoline to burn I've caught gas tanks and cans of fire plenty of times and they'll literally burn like candles. A lithium ion battery burns at about 6000 degrees they literally melt the roads underneath them when they do and they burn for hours because a chain reaction happens when the cells rupture its like the world's best Roman candle when they go off.

    Any mechanically inclined person can work on steering/suspension, chassis, drivetrain components etc….true…but rarely anyone could work on the brains of these new electric vehicles.

    “Anybody with a common sense could tear one of these apart”, and probably they can put it back together…..the tricky part is to make the manufacturer (TESLA) to sale you the parts needed for repairs, share the software (needed to make the car functional), and activated the different apps….CAN “ANYBODY WITH COMMON SENSE” MAKE THIS CAR WORK WITH OUT ALL THOSE PERKS?

      To a large degree something that is easy to take apart is easy and logic to put back together. The expectation is where you pull one bolt and the car disintegrates.
