Great instructional video Imran, I don't have a lotus, or an aim dash, but if I did, following these concise instructions would make it such an easy task to switch from the OEM setup. Keep up the good work, and all the best with alias23.

Hello Imran, it does look much nicer than the garw for sure and configuration is clearly plug & play. I am now quite tempted as well... I can"t wait for further review about the features fron your next video. I would also be interested to see how you are mounting the rear view camera and maybe other sensors such as oil pressure and temp. Well done mate.

Hi Buddy, the quality is much better but as I say it should be for the price difference. However for me personally this move to AiM is primarily driven by the need for better data and camera integration for driver development. It would appear the sensors are a lot simpler to plug in vs the Garw splicing and then configuring. I won't be doing the rear camera at this stage just sensors for oil pressure, temps, and gearbox etc.

Hi Imran, question here please did you face any obstacle when diagnosing via obd after installing the mx2e? Like no communication between the software and the car? Thanks!

Great video, in defense of the Garw you are comparing it to the version 1 Garw (2 years old) latest version 4 is Cnc machined the same build quality as the Aim, also the Aim is a 6 inch screen, Garw is a 7 inch. And one last comment about the rpm response, the Garw has built in damping to make the rpm more realistic (less jumpy) this can be turned off in the latest version (realised in Jan). I know all this because I know the developer personally, he just doesn't advertise all this stuff (too busy)
What is missing from the Garw is the laptimer and logging, something Aim defiantly has the lead on, and not something the Garw will compete on ever.

Hi John thanks for your comments. I am a big fan of the Garw especially for the price ... pound for pound its a fantastic solution :) I would say the screen is actually bigger on the AiM and the build quality is certified to be weather tight etc.. so just a quick response on some of the points you raise. I wasn't aware of the damping of the revs very good to know and actually a good idea!

    Hi,
Great video! I would like to install this dash on my Elise.
I just have a question, did the overall miles of the car came automaticaly or you need to adjust it?
    Thank you for your answer.
    Marie

Hi Imran, great video. Will you be installing a brake sensor as I believe this is not standard output on the Exige?

Not the plan at this time. Engine Oil, Oil Pressure, Gearbox, and AFR is on the cars ;)
