The Zoo Cougar has a specific flat, bullet shaped head, which causes the fly to dodge back and forth as it is stripped. If you used a tube of a suitable size, you could use it to push the deer hair head back as you make it!
I use empty pen shafts of suitable diameter for this purpose!

The video is very out of focus during the trimming part of the deer hair head, which is one of the more important parts of building this fly.
