Nice fly Brian. Glad to see you're back tying. Maybe I can make it down there next spring/summer. I sold my house and I'm looking for a motor home right now so I can go fishing forever. Keep the good stuff coming.
I can remember a video from quite a while ago where you were tying one of Kelly's streamers and you said "I suck at trimming these things." Well, you are getting better.
@@flyfishingtheozarks take a clothing steamer or kettle and run steam under the hair for a few seconds. Then trim it. It stiffens the hair and makes it 100x easier with the razor for a clean cut.
One of my favorite flys far as style of tying that's very much how the tier likes them and love the videos specifically your tying tips series or what not anyhow in my opinion not that it matters but feel like you went a bit heavy with materials on this one but I'm nobody special just my opinion love the videos though again you've helped my tying alot so thanks keep it up
Great. Just great. Now I’m going to have to get another Bugger Beast Jr. to fill with these flies. Sweet video on tying a really effective fly. Thanks!
@@flyfishingtheozarks Those look good, but they're a little big for my backpack - the Bugger Beast Jr.'s are just about perfect. One day I'll have a raft...
Is the only difference in the mini and the standard hook sizes? A though I’ve had while watching these articulated videos is that everything is pretty much tied with a few of the same parts. Tail, body, wing and a head of some kind. Thanks for the great visuals on tying some of these awesome flies.
another example of deer hair being intentionally placed in position with a pinch wrap instead of randomly spun around the hook, it looks a lot cleaner and tighter.
Now, I will say there is definitely a time and place for a more sparse head....and actually for most sinking streamers a super tight head will hurt the sinkability of the fly. But in this case, the dumbell eyes are definitely going to sink the fly---tight head or not. But they really are sexier, aren't they. :)
You do Kelly justice with that fly. Awesome color too...
Thanks! I always feel at home tying Kelly's stuff.....so fun.
Glad to see some new tying videos back on your channel! Keep 'em coming
Absolutely! Thanks for watching
great tie. this one and it’s big brother are my go to streamers. the barred tan mini dungeon is my favorite.
Can't go wrong with the Dungeons!

Nice! THAT is a lifestyle I wouldn't mind living.....

It has taken the death of hundreds of deer for me to get better at tying with deer hair!! :)
I was just coming to comment on the same thing. Well done Brian

Thanks for watching! 1000% agree on the amount of materials.....I tend to do that a little when sitting down to shoot a video, not sure why.

Thanks! You should totally try the MFC Boat Box....love it.

Nice, I am going to have deer hair all over the place thanks to you! LOL
My pleasure!
That would slay the smallies up here
Nice tight head! Beautifully done. The underside can be tricky with dumbell eyes.
Agreed! Thanks for watching.
Would be nice if you talked on how to tying the fly

I tie one in grey with white legs it’s deadly
I bet!
great job bro
Appreciate it!
That’s my kind of streamer! If only I could tie those deer hair heads better, what type of deer hair do you use?
Belly Hair.
@@flyfishingtheozarks thanks!
Thank you for continuing to inspire and create awesome fly tying content. Would recommend highly to subscribe to this channel if you haven't yet.
Wow, thanks!
Nice 👍
Thanks!
Why 2 & 6 hooks & not 4 for the trailer?
The bend on the B10s holds fish WAY better, and the length of the table portion of the shank is the same size.....win\win
