I actually really enjoy Tis the Sea Sun in Sydney! If I think hard about it hard enough it gives me christmas vibes lol, but I’ll definitely be enjoying it in the summer time
Welp, I guess I'll be enjoying the Winter fragrances I already have from Yankee that are actually pretty good versus purchasing this new holiday collection 😂. I'm so glad you picked up Leather Oak, I love that one!
Thanks for the reviews! I'm really excited about this collection, and can't wait to smell them. I am a little perplexed by the Tis The Sea Sun in Sydney though. From your review it does not seem like holidays. I wish they would have done a Mexico candle instead, and used Poinsettia from years ago. I loved that candle. Beautiful red wax with poinsettias on the jars! OMG missed opportunity! Hello Yankee!
I also use my illumalids on B&BW 1 wicks and other smaller diameter candles, they have come in handy. I may have to try Munich Christmas Market. Slatkin Glazed Gingerbread is a really authentic version of the non- chocolate lebkuchen to me and I love it, so I may have to compare them.
Rather than the North Pole, they could have done Greenland or Norway and still kept the snowy conceptual and called it Winter Night in Norway or Greenland Holiday Festival or something. That way, it’s something that fits the travel theme since people can actually go there, and it would also tick off another region that people actually live in for some extra representation that isn’t just Western Europe or Australia lol
You can only use illumalids on 1 wick candles. Never ever use on a 2 wick. They make 2 wicks light completely on fire. Trust me. I was warned so many times and thought, 1 wick, 2 wick, not a huge difference, then almost lost my house when both two wicks went up within an hour of being lit. Saved my home, lost a wooden table and almost lost my hand.
Wow - really great concepts but some of those notes! :/ I have taken to trying new YCs by purchasing the small jars. That way I don't have to worry about finishing a Christmas candle in April. Good news on the Sydney one - buy it on clearance in January and enjoy it in June!
I got the collection in melts and cups, except Munich and Sydney. I haven’t bought Christmas scents in years, but thought I’d try them out since they didn’t sound like traditional types. It’s always interesting to me how different noses get different things. Yankee used to have a candle called Christmas At The Beach. The Sydney one might be good to get on a discount and save for Christmas in July or just summer. I’ll probably get Sydney in a three wick since I like white florals. I don’t mind out of the box and creative ideas for Christmas, since I honestly don’t like Christmas for several personal reasons and the traditional fragrances seem to remind me of that fact. I don’t get a lot of sweetness from the North Pole one and no marshmallow. Maybe the Christmas London Tea is supposed to invoke a fancy London tea room during afternoon high tea, rather than just the tea itself. I would have preferred if it was just spiced tea though…I don’t get palo santo and sage from it. I get raspberry preserves in the Paris one…not my favorite, but not terrible either. The Big Apple Christmas is alright, but I don’t like confectionery fragrances as much as others seem to. I wasn’t expecting too much in general from the collection, but there’s nothing I can’t stand and will melt through it all.🫖
Cookies by the Fire has been out before. I don’t think it did well, but mostly because there was no throw. The scent was meh to me, but if they fixed the performance, it could be one that does better this time.
I just got a card in the mail and like the way holiday winterfest semlls but i can not find it anywhere. I cant find out the release date or anything. Do you have that one?
I was finally able to smell these at Target! OMG! What the F*** were they thinking! Horrible can't even describe what I smelled! Not one of these are true Christmas scents. The London Tea was so bad, I just couldn't even smell it twice. The Sydney was like suntan for Christmas! Thank gawd I was able to smell these before blind ordering. Target saved me a lot of money! A total disaster of a collection!
Yeah I think so too. The London Tea smells especially bad in the paraffin 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ much better in the soy blend. But overall, a bizarre holiday collection, even if they had been well executed otherwise
I'm from the EU so I don't know if the candles here are produced with a different quality but I have all the scents in wax melt and for me they are all delicious, London Christmas Tea is one of my favorites and in my opinion Munich Christmas Market and Big Apple Christmas are very Christmassy, they remind me of certain typical Christmas desserts where I live.
I love Lebkuchen! Greetz from Germany 😊
Yay! Hello!!!

Me too! Definitely a Christmas in July burn 😉

So right!!!
It's too bad that they have been struggling with scents, I still really like this company. I'll burn the ones I have. Thanks for the insight.

Whoa!!!!!!!!!
Yep and they also burn the paint right off of the lid. I wish they'd just make a modified size and thickness for the 2 wicks!

Christmas in July! Great idea!!

That sounds about right 🤣

Nope - never heard of it 🧐
@coffeecandles3359 I just saw it dropped today! Will you be reviewing these?
@@brooke3140 ooooo these look more up my alley! Gotta get in the store 🤩
@coffeecandles3359 They sound up my alley too and I think they actually look kind of cute!
It's sad beige baby Christmas 😆
Hahahahahaha
So how can I consider this review if there are no smelling the candles or scent notes??
Kinda boring
The wax centerpiece is the same as the candle 😉
Man you are right, Yankee kinda missed the mark on this collection. 😢
