OMG, the ending talking about bait and switch and men laughing around conference table is so on point and absolutely hysterical at 2x speed. 😂😂😂😂😂 Afternoon Scrapbooking is my favorite of the collection, Log Cabin Flannel is 2nd. Afternoon Scrapbooking reminds me of the way a leatherbound book smells, or how I imagine an old library smelling. For that reason alone, I bought 6 of 3 wicks and 2 of the 2 wicks. It's phenomenal and the perfect candle to have burning during a reading session.
You are absolutely right about the 80s and 90s candles they could sent the whole house with one wick. My favorite was Clean Cotton and McIntosh. Thank you so much for sharing🕯️
Old school 80s and 90s one wick Yankee's could definitely fill the house and the yard. That's why we get so frustrated, because we know it for sure can be done. I miss the Yankee 6 for $60 SASs. I used to buy 30 large jars every SAS and would get so excited for the sale. Since performance has dropped so drastically, I've completely lost all excitement for their SASs. My favorite fall Yankee scent is Autumn Leaves, but the performance is so low. For a masculine aquatic, I wish they would just bring back November Rain. The clip art jar looks like a kid's school art project.

I 💯 agree with you. I always have to laugh every time I hear somebody say that a tumbler can't give the strength/throw above a 6 because of the diameter of the jar! It's one of those statements that just have me cracking up! All I can think is, Oh yeah...explain 30yrs of old school Yankee candles that are the same diameter?! 🤣🤣🤣 Great video! 💜
It's like you speak for many of us! I, too grew to like these streamlined glass jars with dual wicks. Sucks that they'll ditch them! And I was a huge fan of the medium size, too - I don't need a candle to last for 6 months; it gets boring. Cracked up loudly about the OG single wick filling the entire cul de sac :) Looking forward to this scrapbooking one. And you're not the only fan of Sweet Vanilla Horchata! Knowing it's on sale, I think I'll swing by and see what's left. I also bought Art in the Park on clearance last year in the super tiny votive-size glass vessel. It was nice!
Amazing!! We agree on so many things 🥰 Yeah tbh I think if they had given the modern tumblers a little bit more time, they might have converted enough people. Pulling the plug too soon? That said, the end game was always to do away with 100% paraffin. So if they did that AND got rid of the classic apothecary, the older folks would probably raze a few stores to the ground. On another note, if they had put the photo-realistic labels on the modern tumblers, it might have helped more folks “transition”

Not sure...and not even sure they were thinking about that. I'm already irritated with Newell for doing away with the in-store jar recycling program :/

You need to come one day when I'm working (: I actually don't hate Afternoon Scrapbooking, but it's probably my least favorite of the six. I love the Campfire Cocktails and Pumpkin Cinnamon Swirl because they are classical fall fragrances. And I think you have to like cologne/perfumy scent to enjoy Log Cabin Flannel, Paddling on the Lake, and Woodland Weekend Memories. I will purchase them all anyways and review them!
Hi. I am from Europe and over here the tumblers are discontinued. We only get the new jars now. I love the tumblers, but they were more expensive then the new jars.
Lavender and oak, cider house and campfire apple are my favorite Fall scents. It seems like the year those were released was their last really good Fall release.
Hi friend. I did enjoy Pumpkin Cinnamon Swirl and Campfire Cocktail. The others are a pass for me. I do agree with you with Yankee’s colors. They just do them really great. Also, I just wanted to mention that I haven’t bought a Kringle candle in I don’t know how long and I’m really missing Kringle candles, but until they up their scent performance, I won’t be buying any. Please let us know the Kringle candles improve their sent performance. I’m sure many of us will want to purchase them then.
You know, I’m right there with you! I have significantly reduced my Kringle purchases. They are WAY too expensive to be gambling on strength/throw - and even their fragrance choices have been underwhelming or redundant imo. That said, I suspect they will improve! The question is, when?
I can't believe they're getting rid of the 2-wick Signature Jars 😩. I agree, the wax colors get me all the time lol. I think the Yankee Fall Classics are pretty good. I thought Paddling On The Lake was a repackage of Lakefront Lodge when I saw the photos. Lakefront Lodge is definitely a cologne scent. Enjoyed your cold sniffs of each! Lol I'm shocked you picked up Pumpkin Cinnamon Swirl 😂. I have the 2-wick Art In The Park Signature Jar lol I like it on cold and plan to burn it soon. I always smell Movie Night Cocoa in the store but never purchased it due to how soft it is on cold. It's like a powdery-cocoa-perfumey scent. Love Spun Sugar Flurries! Can't wait for your review of Movie Night Cocoa in July!
I used to work at Yankee and I still go in and buy candles and it is strange all the different brands in store. If it helps find an outlet store they might have medium jars.
Spiced Pumpkin, Apple Pumpkin, and Autumn Leaves are my Yankee Candle fall staples. Don't need anything new...just keep doing those if you ask me. They keep missing with the new and it looks like the Fall 2024 will be underwhelming. Thanks for the preview though!

Yankee's Kitchen Spice is the real deal ♥ Lakefront Lodge was a favorite of mine last year, but you're not wrong that it is a basic aquatic cologne scent. I'm looking forward to checking these new fall fragrances out - at least three of them (scrapbooking, log cabin flannel and campfire cocktail) sound somewhat promising. But, oh wow, those three wick candle designs are bad. Sub discount drug store candle bad. And that's coming from someone who actually likes a few of the clip art labels lol.

I actually liked Riverwalk from last year. No I think Lakeside Lodge was a generic aquatic men’s cologne? Anyway, they are mostly similar in the packaging! 😉

Awesome video! I am pretty disappointed in this fall release. I totally agree with you on the 2 wick tumbler aesthetic, never been a fan and think the clip art looks very tacky. But better than the ugly 3 wicks I suppose 😂 The only ones that really seem like I would like is the campfire cocktails ( I love the deep berry fall scents! So im hopeful) and pumpkin cinnamon swirl- (as long as it isn’t very caramel forward.)
I was so disappointed when Yankee stopped delivering to Canada a couple years ago, I ordered a lot of product online and they just shut down the online shopping with no notice to anyone. Plus all the stores that used to carry their products, do not anymore, I guess they must have pulled out of Canada totally. And only a few Yankee Candle stores all across Canada. Seems they turned their back on the whole nation. Makes you wonder what is going on there. So for us Canadian customers it is Amazon on nothing lol....sad really.
Ugh that’s terrible. But unfortunately it’s not surprising. The company does not look well run even here in the US. That said, I would imagine that getting product to Canada is a lot easier than getting it to Europe 🤷🏻♀️
Yankee gets more and more sad Every year!! If it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it!! Yankee was #1 FOREVER! Apothecary paraffin jars were THE BEST! Single wick jars lasted forever! And 1 candle scented ur entire home!! Wow I miss those time’s although it was long ago! They should’ve just added more oils to the traditional apothecary jars like EVERYONE WAS ASKING! THATS all we wanted!! YOU KNOW! You grew up in 80s like me!
Yeah it’s super sad. But you know what puzzles me the most? All the other companies (like Kringle, Goose Creek etc) that have abandoned the old strong paraffin too. Why? Are there not enough consumers who want it?!
Here in Europe they have almost no scents in the old school jars and I hate this soy wax, it has a scent to it as it burns, I can smell the wax burning and I don't like it. I used to love the parafin wax but at this point I'm just not buying their candles anymore.
Yeah the pickings are slim for you guys in Europe - I feel so bad for you! Yankee has been running the old-school paraffin into the ground, and I too dislike the soy 🤷🏻♀️
The best candle was Pumpkin Spice Latte. The throw is unreal. I cannot stand the floral ones. They are awful. I like the new Christmas Apple. I don’t like any of the containers. I buy candle holders wherever I can find them to go with my decor. The bottles are tacky. I got my last candle holder from Amazon. It’s glass with gold swirls very nice

I just bought an Autumn leaves meltcup and put the whole thing in the bowl of my 40W melter and it is plenty strong.

It is caramel-forward but not caramel-overwhelming. And the caramel is very nice, not crazy sweet.
