I can't believe I watched the whole thing! I usually don't like this kind of video, the crafts are always kind of tacky. These were just beautiful! Great job being thrifty and very stylish and tasteful!
You are GOOD! I have watched a lot of dupers but you have them beat by a mile. Yours look so professionally made and not cheesy in the least bit. I might be unsubscribing to some of those sites now that I have found yours!
Fia Darling , This is the first time I have seen your channel an I love TH-cam for DIY inspiration!! You really do recreate a high end look on a budget!! Love from Alaska- Julie
You are absolutely the best “duper” lol I’ve ever seen!! I’m really coming thru to give condolences on the loss of your Dad…May God continually bring you comfort and the memories sustain you Miss Fia
The one thing I make year after year are sweater quilts from thrift store sweaters. I used to buy up all the wool or acrylic sweaters I could find in the spring when they would go on a half off sale. I cut them up into random shapes and sew them together to form a crazy quilt. Then, I use fabric to make the backing. The sweaters are so thick you don't need batting in the middle. I made them for my sons, and they loved them. So, then I made some for my friends and they loved them. One year, I just felt like making one so did and donated it to my local human society thrift store. The next time I walked in they had a sign on my quilt that it was up for a raffle. $1.00 for a ticket for a chance to win my homemade blanket. I spoke to the women who run the store and told them that if they were willing to save me sweaters that didn't sell I could make them into blankets for them to sell. They loved that idea so now I make about 20 a year and all the money they make on them go to care of the homeless fur babies at the local shelter. My only cost is for the thread, electric for my sewing machine which was my mother's so it will never brake and easy to fix if it ever does, and my time which I don't have the ability to sit still so that helps me. They are so incredibly easy to make, and they are so warm and cozy.
Fia..you are so talented! I love the idea of your Dad's picture on the tree ❤ My Dad has been diagnosed with Prostate cancer that has spread beyond, and to a few of his organs. I love him so much! As with many Dad's and daughters, it seems there's a closeness we only share. I will most definitely be using your idea of his picture on my tree! I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. Memories are the best! ❤
You must live near THE BEST thrift store in da world!!! Inn be love all these projects!! Over the last two years I’ve been thrifting and rescuing Xmas decor for the new house. I tend to veer more “retro/vintage maximalist” with Christmas decor but I have some GREAT inspiration and jumping off points from this video!!!
Thank you for the photo idea. My youngest daughter passed away in August and have been looking for an angel ornament to honour her. The picture will be great. Loved all you diys !
Wow! You have got “IT” girl! Whatever HGTV looks for - you are IT. You need your own show. I am always so impressed with everything you do. I don’t DIY very much anymore but you inspire me like no other. ❤
Fabulous video! I didn’t want it to end! Everything you do is top notch Fia. I hope you are able to do more Christmas diys this year. No one does them better ❤
I nevewant them to end either! I get so sad there's only one a week but I understand at the same time it takes a lot of creativity and thinking outside of the box
I love the sweater ornaments … you are so creative!!! And I hope you remember all your happy Christmases with your dad, during this first Christmas without him … the diy picture ornament you made was special.
So impressive how you can turn trash into high end decors. We are about to throw away our Christmas tree for a new fresh look but I think I can refresh that. We also have lots of gold ornaments that I got tired of but I spent too much money on it. Watching your video, you’re giving me ideas on how to still use them by restyling them to match a modern theme.
Fia I’ll say it again, your finds at the thrift store - and the ingenious way you utilise them to create beautiful high end items is amazing. You have such excellent ideas, some of which I will be copying. I particularly loved the photo of your late father on your tree (I’m so very sorry for your sad loss 🙏), what a beautiful thing to do. Thank you so much for sharing all your brilliant ideas 👏🏻. With love from across the pond 😊🇬🇧
Can we just talk about the acorn ornaments…PERFECTION 😮 OMG Fia…you really outdone yourself with this video!!! You are so artistic… of all the years following your channel I’m even more convinced you should have your own show! Thank you for continuing all this beautiful inspiration every week… sending lots of love and hugs to you and your family.
Great DIY's. Only thing I would have changed is the white yarn on the first project, the acorns. I would have used a beige or tan yarn. All the other projects were fabulous.
So agree with all these wonderful comments ..I've watched a few Diy videos and yours are the absolute best!! Your explanation is on point quick and to the point !! Great ideas and sooo creative !! Love love your inspirational ideas! Keep up the great work !! ❤
Fia, you know I start commenting as I enjoy the video. Already, the DIY pinecones.. Superb! I can't tell you how many of your DIY's that I've done and these are next on my list! FIA!!! I loved so many of the DIY's that I can't even express it!! I'm now up to the stag wall hooks (swoons!)
Im inspired!! I always drag my feet with Christmas anything until after at least Nov1. But not this year, long live the Queen of High End Style Dupes, Fia!!
I love love love that you are a thrifter. You find the best stuff there. I've planned crafting with my niece and nephew when they come up so they can make their own ornaments and stocking
It would be hard to pick a favorite. All of these were great. I will be trying many of them this season. You definitely provide good ideas and inspiration for my thrift store trips!
Creating DIY high-end Christmas dupes on a budget is a fantastic way to get into the holiday spirit while also being creative and thrifty. I'm sure your video will inspire many to add a personal touch to their Christmas decorations. Keep up the great work, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season! 🎄🎁👏
All fabulous. But for me, your most epic blew my mind. The makeover/switch out of the foliage branches. EUREKA! So brilliant! Those stems are usually the same diameter which makes it totally plug and play. I am in awe that you just tucked it in among the rest of your creations and just casually mentioned it. You really need a stand alone tutorial, or short on it and the opportunity to blow your horn a wee bit louder. It is REALLY helpful and all season appropriate. 🤗 WELL DONE FIA!
You ARE remarkably creative & inspirational! You actually motivate me to start doing diys again at my senior age, with very little room to work! Thank you for that! ONE QUESTION: Why the need to switch out the foliage? I'm sure I'm missing something, but why not just gather a few real branches from outdoors & use THOSE for your new or chosen foliage (after putting them in oven for de-bugging, as necessary)? What'd I miss?🤔😊🏆
My goodness, girlfriend-- you are so talented and creative! AND I wish your Goodwill store was near me. Wow! I have never seen such great stuff at the goodwill stores around me. You are very inspiring with these projects! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I’m obsessed with this whole video. I want to do everything you did. I can’t pick a favorite. I’m gonna do some of these!! This is saved to my ideas list and I’m gonna try to get some of them done this year. But next year I’m gonna prepare more. And ps - your thrifting stores have amazing things.
I made my first “antler” thrift, using your advice to frame Christmas cards. Happened to have a card with antlers on it, framed it and found a small antler ornament at the Dollar Store ($1) and hot glued it to the frame! It’s gorgeous! Wish I could post a picture of it!
Fia, thank you for all the beautiful Christmas inspiration! I especially like the framed music sheet and tree. So simple but very high end. The sweater ornaments look so homey and beautiful; well worth the time to make them. Seeing the ornament you made of your father made my heart ache. ❤ I know what you're going through as I lost my husband the day before Thanksgiving last year. ♥You have yet to go through the holidays without your father, but my wish for you is to remember him with joy and the love he gave to you. I wish for you a happy and blessed holiday season.
Thank you for sharing all these wonderful projects! I love the antler candleholder at the end … we saved some antlers from last year. Perfect DIY … thanks again! ❄️🦌🎅🏼
These are fantastic! It reminded me how crafty and creative I have and can be. I sort got into a space of not good enoughness and what’s the point. Your videos share a lot of my aesthetic and reminded me of all I DO have and what I can assemble of it and from it! Thank you!
I much prefer your dupes than the original decor. You are so talented. This is the first video of yours that i have watched, it wont be my last. Thanks for sharing.
This is by far the best video I have seen for decorating for Christmas! The items you have showed us how to make are just so high-end. I can't wait to get started and decorate my house for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
I am really impressed. I am not really a DIYer but your video has so many tempting ideas. My favourite [and, sorry, probably the easiest] is the festive teacup on a ribbon for the tree. I have some pretty cups but no saucers so - the perfect solution. Thank you.
You are such a Smart Cookie , so glad I ran into your Channel, I’m Amazed and so very Thankful for you bringing to light having the high end items we All love for much much much Less!! I’ve been spending a fortune but I’m learning to back away from these retail stores that are Rediculously priced way too high when we can DIY ……these BRILLIANT DIY videos you took the time to teach us is so much appreciated!!THANK YOU 🙏 ❤😅
Your dupes are phenomenal as are your clever ideas! I must say though, your thrift stores are way better than anything I have found in my area…even in the bigger city 40 minutes away.
I've seen quite a few DIYs using items from Dollar Tree, but many times they look cheap, yours all look so high-end!!! I want to make them all. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Great ideas. You are just so talented. My faves - the sweater ornaments AND the plaid ornament. I think I picked up some plaid napkins last year, I may try something like that for gifts. Thank you for these ideas.
Wow Sophia ! You take the thrifted items from Drab to Fab and make them look so high end ! And that would be me not having a diy bone in my body ! But after seeing your creations I will recreate them & make my place look so elegant as well ! Thanks for sharing !!
I always love all your projects. You are very inspiring and you make it very easy to follow. One silly thing I really like is your intro is short and to the point of what to expect in your video. Thank you for the inspiration!
Your ideas are delightful and manageable for even the most novice of diy enthusiast. I hope to find the kind of luck you do when going to the thrift and goodwill stores. Maybe i will have better luck next time. Thanks for the content and ideas!
I'm amazed at your creative designs. Yours are as good as what you dupe at a fraction of the cost. I can't decide which was my favorite as I liked so many. Great job!
Sending condolences on the loss of your dear father. I know how difficult that is. What a great way to honor and remember him with an ornament.
I can't believe I watched the whole thing! I usually don't like this kind of video, the crafts are always kind of tacky. These were just beautiful! Great job being thrifty and very stylish and tasteful!

She's the best in the game! I was so happy when I found her channel
Agreed. I'm a single mom but I love to diy and you have the best diys and inspo on here!
Omg ditto, the ideas are so simple but so so so good, the sweater baubles chefs kiss

Fia Darling ,

My mom passed away this year. Your frame ornament is the perfect touch for remembering her on our first Christmas without her.

I really appreciate how so many items you use are thrifted. So many TH-camrs buy everything new and I feel like it’s so wasteful.
Especially because they buy heaps evil crafting materials from dollar tree
You must live near THE BEST thrift store in da world!!! Inn be love all these projects!!
Over the last two years I’ve been thrifting and rescuing Xmas decor for the new house. I tend to veer more “retro/vintage maximalist” with Christmas decor but I have some GREAT inspiration and jumping off points from this video!!!
No one does DIYs like you do, Fia. Your projects always look so high-end! Thanks for all the inspiration!
Loved sweater ornaments and tall sweater covered columns.
she is the Queen of diy
Finally a video that shows truly high end items, so unlike most others.👍
I feel like using cinnamon sticks as the wood for the bell ornament could end up being really nice! 😊
Thank you for the photo idea. My youngest daughter passed away in August and have been looking for an angel ornament to honour her. The picture will be great. Loved all you diys !
So sorry, I can’t imagine your pain. Hope the Angel helps in some way.
@@rubychurch3466 thank you 🙏
I just want to take a moment to say ,YOU'RE A GREAT DIYer! ❤ I love all the projects you created. Such talent!!
Wow! You have got “IT” girl! Whatever HGTV looks for - you are IT. You need your own show. I am always so impressed with everything you do. I don’t DIY very much anymore but you inspire me like no other. ❤
I agree. She should have her own show! She's a bundle of craft books and magazines in one talented person!
Agreed! She is so classy and her creations look so professionally made. Simply inspiring!!! ❤️

Omgosh 😅I was thinking 💭 the same thing but recycling is where it’s at! Especially w this economy!!
Has someone told you today you're fabulous? I became comfortable with doing diy's because of you. Thanks so much for so many ideas...
You take the award for certain.....I love all of your dupes......my favorite today was the last one......the antlers.....thanks so much.....
OMG! How am I going to choose... Thank you for sharing!

Sweet! As to branches and pine cones, putting them into the oven on low heat also kills off bugs, spores, etc. love getting into the Christmas mood!
Good tip, thanks!
Then you have dead bugs in your oven…☺️
LOL I never thought of that!@@kathygreer2097
The clear balls with white ribbon & pearls were my favorite! I will be making some tomorrow. My tree is decorated in all white
I loved all of your ideas but I loved the pine ones the most. I liked the sweater ones as well.

The swapping of the leaves was such a great idea!! I also loved the sweater ornaments and stocking!!
I am really impressed. I am not really a DIYer but your video has so many tempting ideas. My favourite [and, sorry, probably the easiest] is the festive teacup on a ribbon for the tree. I have some pretty cups but no saucers so - the perfect solution. Thank you.

My head is simply swimming with ideas! So many things I want to make. Now time to craft!
