Der Elias absolutely, and way better sweeping than any automatic at that price point

Grand seiko spring drive is better

LiquidSm0ke True! They cost thousands of dollars more and only sweep marginally better (almost imperceptible) than this sub $200 example.

Hard to beat a sweep like that. I love it when I show this watch and automatic snobs appreciate it right up until they realize it is a quartz movement. They seem to think only an automatic can have a smooth sweep. So I tell them this is twice as smooth as their 28,800 bph swiss movement (it literally is. 8 bps compared to 16 bps) and cost several times less. In some cases thousands of dollars less. And it is more accurate per year than their watch is per day. Accuracy and sweep. You really can't beat that. Anyone who prefers an automatic over a watch like this is obviously getting their time from their phone or something. I wear a watch for accurate tracking of the time and I hate automatics that slowly are off more and more until you are forced to reset it every few days. How is that 'better' than something like this? I've got two Precisionists and I love them.

that's how GS made their spring drive series, a quartz regulated mechanical watch, and the sweep of the GS is even more smoother than Bulova's

Bulova is killing it right now with their Precisionist movement. You want excellent accuracy and a smooth movement, it's the only way to go.

Same story here, hate automatics with their lack of practicality. I need an accurate time on my wrist that also looks good, if any of those requrements is not met than it is not for me.

I absolutely love how this watch looks. Too bad they changed out the tuning fork at 12 from the older version. I won't mention the incredible hi beat movement since it's already been aptly described by other viewers so I'll simply note the aesthetics. I can't help but see a 007 James Bond motif. The dial is hypnotic, has a gun metal finish and (almost) looks like the inside of a gun barrel. And a really cool design detail is that the infinity logo on the second hand offset appears directly above the "Precisionist" line at 6 o'clock on every sweep. Also from the right angle, the hour hand resembles an elongated tuning fork. The date with white background is also perfectly proportioned with clear black print contrast. Lastly, the 22m lug to lug gives the casing a wide stance that looks stately and classic. At sub $200 USD on Amazon, I don't have to worry about damaging it and can wear daily.

What accurcy do they claim? +-5 seconds a year?, I owned one a few years ago and it was off 5 seconds after the first month that I bought it.

Nice sweeping hand .........but still needs to be opened every year or so to replace the battery.....that is its weak link......if not sealed right that beautiful second hand stops all of a sudden by just washing your hands....
