This is the most accurate saying i’ve ever heard. And i’m doing my best to accept this fact too. I’m always concerned and worried about if someone likes me or not that i forget that not everyone’s gonna like me, and that doesn’t mean that i’m a bad person or that I’m annoying. I can be the most confident, humble, generous and respectful person in the world and someone will still hate me. Humans have and will ALWAYS find ways to complain, that’s the bitter truth.

It's an anedoctally provable fact taht the people who pressure women into fitting beauty standarts the most are OTHER WOMEN.
Just like how it's often guys who'll make other guys feel insecure about not being manly or tall or stylish enough.
Yes the opposite happens but from observancy i'd say the person pressuring a woman into wearing makeup or heels or wahtever tends to be another woman who thinks she's better, not a dude trying to make her fuckable

For the most part, women see makeup as another way to express themselves, like wearing nice clothes or styling their hair. Completely understand this. As a tall woman, it's somewhat the opposite for me. I've been insecure if my height for the longest time because of media-- and people generally wanting shorter/more petite girls. I've literally gotten bullied for being skinny and tall.

I think makeup is largely dependent on its usage. Many people use makeup to enhance their uniqueness and to express themselves better and I think that's dope. Like it's not that they don't feel bad or insecure without it but rather they feel better with it - like people that dress up for conventions or people into fashion design.
However if u do makeup out of insecurity and to hide away your uniqueness by trying to look like everyone else like the general beauty standard, I think that's pretty lame.

I'll tell you this on my perspective as a 5'7 man, it isn't easy, nobody takes you seriously, hell even dare respect you, It is pretty bad, could get worse but if you were to ask me, I would rather be taller, it doesn't take rocket science to know that height makes you look more imposing and attractive, it is an objective truth, men, women, people in general treat people who are taller better, especially in the Philippines, it shows status, that you have superior genetics, that's why people respect you, and if people want to taste a little bit of that, yeah sure go ahead but it is clown behavior, nothing can change that, even if you accept the flaw it is a cope, you will never be respected or admired compared to a much more taller person, it is an objective truth I do not care whatever mental gymnastics you perform to try to disprove it, exceptions may happen sure but in general? Height matters, a lot, not the only thing ofcourse but still, it would be nice to be taller especially, and I mean ESPECIALLY if you are a man, it really feels emasculating knowing that an aspect of my life could never and will never truly be changed unless I do stupid clown surgeries or wear dumb clothing, genetics and anatomy is destiny y'all, if you read this, don't forget it.

Also, just to add. Ive never really liked social media, (I have only used yt) which is most likely why I never had an issue with these sort of things. From what Ive seen people on social media give a lot of care to others opinions. When in most cases people dont bat a eye or care when theyre in public, and if they do why care? People who are judgemental are a lot more miserable than those who are not. Not only that but most solid relationships are built by two people who talk to eachother and learn about eachother. I still agree with the overall point but the number one thing for both men and women when looking for a partner is that they find the person physically attractive. Unless we're talking about gold diggers it don't matter how much money you got or how good your personality is if the person you're trying to date think you're ugly you don't got no chance.

Trying to pretend that personality comes before looks is lying to people. It's just as bad as the black pill people saying you can never get a girl unless you make six figures and are 6 ft tall. It's lying about reality and setting people up for failure. In the video bro says most people don't put emphasis on looks because there are more important things like personality. Two words: personal bias
People hear that their flaws are heavily criticized and that if they don't have this certain trait, they'll fail in finding their partner. Upon hearing this and believing that, every time they see something in their day to day life that conveniently aligns with their beliefs, they'll subconsciously selectively try to seek out more of said thing. So they end up confirming their beliefs through personal bias and ignoring the things which would prove them wrong.

The term “hip dips” refers to the slight indentations in the outer hips, just above the thighs. Also known as hip valleys or violin hips, hip dips are a natural and common body shape variation. The meaning of hip dips originates from their appearance, being small inwardly curving dips. They are largely determined by genetics and are a normal part of having healthy hips.
Whilst they are not a medical concern, some people consider hip dips an aesthetic concern and seek ways to reduce their appearance. With ever-elusive beauty standards, “fixing” hip dips has become the focus of a wide range of exercises and body shaping techniques.

i wear make up from time to time, but i dont put on pounds upon pounds. even when im dressing up for a special occasion, its not pounds upon pounds.
i started a skin care routine to fix *things that can be helped*, like oily+dry skin. vs someone trying to *stop cheek wrinkles* from forming or whatever the frick 💀
im quite happy with my body (aside from arm/leg hair, but i dont let it *occupy my mind* and decide to get it lazered off. shave my legs and keep my arm hair)
moral of the story: dont consume so much media to where you become insecure over the smallest “imperfections”
because the people who get popular on social media for their looks probably got surgery done for it. be greatful for what you have and dont envy. be realistic.

Being tall has its disadvantages too so its not like a straight upgrade or something. Not going to act like I'm not happy with it, I definitely am, but people don't understand life is more nuanced than just "physical trait = problems solved".

when I was in uni I was part of the local theater. there was one guy there that had like 6-8 of the girls crushing on him (including myself at one point haha) he's 165cm, or 5'4" in American. that never once stopped him from being the most attractive person in the group because he was highly charismatic and incredibly confident.
I've also met men who are shorter who very obviously have a complex about it and it blinded them to the actual reasons women rejected them because they could just say "it's because I'm short" and not fix their anger issues, weight issues, confidence issues etc
Also as a woman, I personally tend to avoid highly attractive men because I find them far more likely to be players or to be tempted to cheat because they have so many women vying for their attention (there are many awful women who purposefully try to seduce men who are taken but that's another story) and I would always be suspicious of them/ unable to trust them. That's just me tho. When I try to bring up stuff like this to blackpilled guys who think every woman wants a gigachad (ignoring how insanely popular effeminate kpop idols are btw), they call me a liar. You can't fix other people's delusions.

    • @quirinoguy8665
      @quirinoguy8665 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You're the exception, not the rule, your personal experience is miniscule compared to the damned horror stories I hear from my fellow short men everyday, is it really fair to call it delusion when it has been their entire life? Mind you, the 5'4 guy you were talking about is also an exception as well, he may not be tall but he probably is a pretty boy with good facial features that make up for his lacking height, confidence and personality also came from positive feedback loops in life, you can't change how people treated you and your experiences, which well changes your behavior as well, it is a big factor, you can't just tell someone to be confident and expect them to be like that the next day, they'll have to get the experience necessary to be confident.
Also women want or desire Chad because of genetics, nothing more, it is literally human nature, you can't deny the factual truth here, most women like and desire Chad, most people are shallow, most people cannot change what they are attracted to and what they dislike.
This isn't delusion, this is real, what they think and experienced is real, you'll never understand it because frankly it is hard to even sympathize or even put yourself in our shoes in your position. You can't and will never empathize with us, you don't and will never understand the pain and suffering these men have to go through, they tried their best, but their best wasn't enough, and sooner or later it might be my case too.

      @@quirinoguy8665
"you can't change how people treated you and your experiences"
I know this very well, and I also know that as long as I let how other people treated me control how I perceived myself, I was miserable, anxious, and had no self-confidence. In the end I had to face that sometimes other people treat you a certain way because of who they are, not because of you.
"you'll never understand it because frankly it is hard to even sympathize or even put yourself in our shoes in your position"
You do understand that women have body issues too, right? A woman born too tall, or with small hips, or wide shoulders, or the "wrong body type" will absolutely face the same shame and despair of being lovable or attractive because it's something genetic that can't even be changed with surgery. Go look up how women fret about their ankles - a part of the body most men never even notice. This is a human experience. Everyone has to face that they are not who or what they wish they could be. People who make peace with that gap are the ones who, in the end, are not controlled by it.
But really, nothing I or this video or anyone says can change your mind or anyone else's. You have to change your own mind. Sartre said hell is other people, but hell can be the self too. I spent 15 years in a hell of my own making, full of resentment and envy over things that couldn't be changed. I know how it feels. And I say it doesn't help. All it does is make you focus on one narrow part of your own life and blow it up until you can't even see any of the good you have.
