I would love to see a superhero series that revolves around adressing that oversaturation and disalusionment. Imagine the main character becoming a hero but he's just one of milions and people resent him for choosing to be another spandex wearing showboater instead of a fireman, doctor, policeman, or other actual hero. And the reason they have this atitude is because somehow we have this enormous roster of heroes but only one to a small team shows up when there's a threat. What are all the others doing? Then the min character learns that there's actually disproportionately more villains than heroes and everyone has their work cut out for them. When there's a big villain, everyone could gang up on him, but then hundreds of smaller villains would get away with their schemes. So hero work is a constant, dificult, and thankless job.
@@IndependentAnimation I've been working on something like it but, beyond writing down a detailed sumary of the idea, I don't have the means to actually do anything with it. I cannot draw like that ^, nor have I mastered writing the scenarios as scripts yet, and how many random minor villain fights need to happen between any two major plot points? I wouldn't wan't to rush through the story but I also wouldn't want to drag it out too far that people get bored. The ones I've read on webtoon went with three between major plot points so maybe that's the sweet spot? If it is then the first thing to do is rewrite my summary adding in each of those fights and that means I have to invent enough minor villains to fill the timeline. Yeah some minor villains will show up twice but there needs to still be an influx of new characters at least until the middle point of the series. A superero series is a lot of work... Are you sure you're up to it?

One punch man is about one guy who is too powerful who goes around killing dudes looking for one strong enough to challenge him. None of that was in the idea I described. Nor does any of my idea apear in one punch man besides many people having super powers which is such a generic detail Marvel, DC, Power Rangers, just about all of fiction must also be "basically one punch man"

"Being a hero is a thankless job" and "The main character is just one of millions of spandex wearing showboaters and civilians resent him for it" are some of the main things OPM explores. Also, My Hero Academia explores into that and so does The Boys. Your concept is not as unique as you think it is.
4:25 Colorful Superheroes still exist - they're just japanese. Tokosatsu is a super interresting genre, and I think you should get into it. My personal favorite franchise is Kamen Rider, cuz the series can vary from silly, to serious, to somewhere in between - but in all of them, the Super heroes are always colorful and flashy.
I’ve actually heard about kamen rider I just forgot to look more into it. But I figured there would be a lot of Japanese heroes because nowadays theres a-lot of Japanese everything because western entertainment has been dropping the ball for so long. That’s why I was mainly referring to western heroes and how its about time they got back to their roots, and hopefully I can contribute to that happening.

I love your art style. I'm trying to create my own comic series and am trying to think of ways to distinguish myself from the other indie comics into something actually successful. I also suck at art so I really hope I can succeed by paying someone to do it for me. I'm gonna follow you because you're inspiring me a lot.
Trying to set yourself apart can be difficult at times, but my advice is to focus more on creating a story you personal believe is worth telling and means something to you and I guarantee there’ll be someone who finds value in it!

The same hare, my superhero story is set in a futuristic version of today based around the space age. It's retro-futuristic mixed with utopian ideas, as we follow an astrophysist and member of the United States Space Force(USSF) defends the Earth from cosmic threats and tries to create a better future for humanity. It also deals with the themes of the militrazation of space, the superhero paradox and utopia.
I love the retro futuristic style you’ve chosen to go with thats one of my favorites! And the story has some very solid themes you can expand on and give an interesting perspective and take on! Keep going and keep creating I hope to be able to read your story someday!!
Loved that you used the silver age flash comic cover when bringing up the golden age. He's pretty much the one responsible for bringing back superheros into popularity. All it took was 1 comic to change the course of history. Superheros would've lost their goofy suits and superpowers, and we probably would believed have gotten any more real superheros outside of pulp fiction. He doesn't just break the laws of time and conventional story telling. The guy breaks and reshapes the mold of entertainment.

Very inspirational. I can totally relate to this. I love superheroes, but the stories we've been getting feel so tired and insipid. Perhaps we could collab sometime. I've been pumping out an 'eldritch superhero story' (as one of my readers calls it). It's called 'Walk Me Home: Dating a Monster Girl'. The summary goes like this: "Walking your OP monster girlfriend home is easy. No one messes with you. Getting back on your own? That's the tricky part. In a creepy city where light-sensitive monsters come out at night, Norman Newman is a normal human ... which makes him a target for everything else. Will parkour, martial arts and a high-powered flashlight be enough to survive date night?" My male lead, Norman, is a bit like Batman: a peak human armed with gadgets, fighting way above his weight class. The female lead monster girl is more like Spiderman crossed with Punisher. She'll sit with you, talk with you, try to connect, even if you hate her. Trust me: a LOT of people hate her. However, when she meets a true monster, they see a totally different side of her. She has general no-kill rule, but that doesn't stop her from getting creative.
The way you describe your story honestly has peaked my interest I can't wait to hear more about it! Maybe one day we can collab on something in the future, we'll see!

As a singer and songwriter, I created the theme, 'Little Alien', for 'The Princess and the Human', as well as the themes for my two protagonists, Norman (indie rock) and Amy (indie pop). If you're interested, perhaps I could arrange to create theme songs for your characters and channel. He'll come back with massive wings and countermeasures. It's very much as fall down, get back up kind of story.

I thought about the comic route before animation because that’s usually the way it goes for most successful animation projects with an established fan base. But then I thought to myself no one ever did what Walt Disney did before creating the empire of Disney, and no one ever did what Stan Lee did when he took marvel to the height of the comic book industry and same for every other major name and IP out there. They just did what they loved and kept doing it until they hit it big, now I’m not saying I’m them but I’m also not saying I can’t be them only God knows in the end and I’m just gonna keep walking in faith to see where it will lead to in the end for myself.
For me personally whenever I start with a new story idea, I come up with a loose plot initially but my main focus is always the characters. No matter the setting of your story people will attach themselves to your characters and their individual stories first more than any plot so that’s why in my personal opinion creating compelling characters should always be your top priority. From there once you have an understanding of who your character is, what their dreams and goals are as well as their flaws and fears it will become easier to write out their journey and build the world around them so everything is more harmonious instead of a bunch of loose ideas crammed into a single story. But that’s my process for starting new stories so it may not work for everyone, I hope this helps some though and you can start on that Novel!

However the program was put on ice and never used. they were discovered by accident when a science crew explored old ruins. In that form the main character neither had consciousness or will and infected their human host in unconscious state. Only after possessing the host were they able to obtain consciousness, and woke up to a world where the war they were destined to fight in is over, their species exterminated by an enemy now extinct, to a crew that hates them by accidentally killing a negligent crew member. The books subplot is about autism and depression, finding a way when everything is lost. But I can’t think of a main plot
That’s a very captivating story! If I had to make a suggestion on a possible main plot, I would say take your main character and thrust them into another war setting having to struggle with fighting for a cause or people they may or may not believe in and also have them try and decide who or what they are beyond being an instrument for someone else fight. But like I said just a suggestion at the end of the day it’s your story!

He is a turtle like alien whose species was at war with earth. Although the reason for the war are hazy it’s generally believed earth was running low on water and his planet was covered in fresh water. His position was granted due to peace negotiations after his species lost the war, and the need to strengthen the military after war. Treated to a massive demotion and bigotry, I hope it’s not too clumsy of a metaphor for racism.
The captain definitely has a solid motivation for wanting to use the main character for his own gain and maybe one day regain his old position and status, and I would say it would be better to compare it to some innate prejudices people have instead of racism. Especially when talking about discrimination of different species that would probably mesh netter with the story I feel.
The goal is to have a short film/ Animation test done by fall of next year. As for a full animated pilot that depends on a lot of different factors so hopefully by next year I will have a clearer picture on how long production will last.

How do you start? I’ve always wanted to write a space novel.

The goal is to have a short film/ Animation test done by fall of next year. As for a full animated pilot that depends on a lot of different factors so hopefully by next year I will have a clearer picture on how long production will last.
