Leokadiya Aleksandrovna Kashperova (1872-1940) was a Russian pianist and Romantic composer. She was the piano teacher of composer Igor Stravinsky.

Leokadiya Kashperova (1872-1940) was a russian composer and pianist. While she was an excellent composer in her own right, she is best known for being the piano teacher of Stravinsky.

Heard this early the other morning on the radio as I drove to work, I listened until I had to clock into work and promptly sought it out later. What a wonderful piece of music this is.
Why hasn’t this masterpiece been recorded commercially?!
If you look at her history (on Wikipedia) it says that because of the Russian soviet revolution, most of her works were forgotten
