That's a truly great product. However - I have a question: I heard on another Shure video demonstration of the VPH handle that you just "unscrew your existing capsule from your wireless transmitter, put it onto the VPH, add some phantom power, and you're good to go". This got me confused - as the capsule model she was showing was a 'dynamic capsule' (probably an SM58 or Beta 58 capsule). So my question (based on her demo) is - whether you somehow need 48v phantom power for a Dynamic (SM 58) capsule when screwed onto a Shure VPH. ?? Not being used to wireless mics - (having a case full of Shure dynamics) - I was confused by this; why you might possibly need to add 48v phantom power to power a Shure "dynamic" (SM 58) capsule screwed onto a Shure VPH for use as a wired mic. I'd be very thankful if anyone could clarify this for me, as I'm interested in the VPH. Many thanks.

Hi! The VPH handle requires phantom power itself regardless of whether the capsule is condenser or dynamic. Phantom power won’t damage the dynamic capsules, and the VPH with a dynamic won’t work unless phantom power is provided.

@@shurecreators many thanks for the clarification! So - lastly - the 48v Phantom Power powers both the VPH and also a Shure KSM11 condenser Capsule, right? Appreciate your time. JW
