This vlog is so honest and open, I really enjoyed it probably because I am a bit nosey. It’s a lovely home you have and your painting skills are amazing. I also lost my younger brother suddenly Diane, August 2021, my heart goes out to you, it’s very hard and I feel like I have lost a piece of my heart. I love how he is with you everywhere you go. Brilliant tour with no stone unturned. Lovely family who get on so well in such a small space. Just thought I’d mention this as you are considering modernising your bathroom. Great vloggers and DIYers. Enjoy watching William
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it. We have thought about a compost toilet but it's very expensive. We don't mind the pump out and prefer to elan but have got an elsan toilet just in case we can't get a pump out. The crt ones are brilliant and we make sure we have cards aboard ready.
Thank you so much for inviting us into your home. It was really interesting to see your dad explain the electrics and the how he’s improved the system. What about the battery charge time against the available useful daylight time? Its odd how a fair proportion of the boats seen for sale don’t have any solar power. I wonder if they spend most of their time in marinas, and don’t feel the need. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to bring us this window into a lifestyle that is at once both beautiful and challenging. A lifestyle that is a part of this country’s heritage and tradition and is thankfully growing rather than dying out. Hey Josh. We're two Brits living aboard our sail boat and are curious about narrowboats. There's a lot of cross-over (who needs big bathrooms?) and a lot of differences of course. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this tour and appreciate the time you've put into editing it. And kudos to your mum and dad for all the info, knowledge and enthusiasm. Loved this Video, I'm going to look back at youre blacking episode now, Andy also mentioned the he was in the Fauklands would love to here more about that?
Andys previous girlfriend was born in the Falklands. He went and moved there when he was 20 for 2 years and when they split up he came back to Southampton. That's when I met him when is was just a baby 22. I thought he was older than that and said he was too young for me. At the time I was 31. But 26 years later we are still together.
Guys this is the best Vlog you have made. Thank you. Andy, Josh never knew how handy and talented you both are. I am very impressed. Great painting from Andy and Diane too, what an amazing family you all are. We don't see any of this on your cruising videos. Guys, just one silly thing, constantly wearing peaked caps,? Not a good look. You all came over really interesting talking to the camera inside the boat. Poor Andy, it seems that on any group shots he always seems to be at the back of the scene, or is it just me. I loved every minute of the Vlog. Keep up the great work. Lovely boat. Take Care.
Andy never wants to talk on camera that's why he is in the background. And I don't know if you notice but everytime we try to include him he says nothing. As for the caps any suggestion which hats we should wear maybe the peaky blinder ones what do you think. Thanks for watching and carry on enjoying the vlogs 😀 😊
Well done. You have a lovely boat and seem very happy on her. I wouldn’t trade her in yet as I think you would find it hard to equal her especially as you have put so much time and effort in making her so comfortable.
Love it. Boats definitely are silly prices now. I expect at some point prices will come down & there's going to be a lot of people that bought in 2021 ending up in 'negative equity' with their boats, so to speak!
Glad you loved it. Its a bit like a house it doesn't really matter how much its worth you still have to live somewhere and we love our home and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
That was the best and most "intimate" tour of a boat I have ever watched. Really great job What ear plugs do you recommend for my wife as I am a big snorer ?
Another great video....nice to see how you all so chilled at presenting now compared to your first videos. Your mum's a professional! Does Andy sleep at front because he snores? 🤣
Yes Phil. I haven't slept with Andy in years I am such a light sleeper he would wake me up. It's like an earthquake 😳. Still love the big softie though xx
Hi Taylors, I for one, love your Vlogs and have watched since you bought Olive. You are one of a few canal channels I watch without fail every week, Foxes Afloat, Narrow boat Pirate, Well Deck, Matt & Ali etc etc. Thanks for this detailed tour of Olive. Is it possible to get a bow thruster retrofitted as it seems that is the one thing that let's Olive down. Ignore that spiteful Troll, you cheer me up, keep it up. Pete.
First off thought nearly 60 minutes was going to be way to much for us to watch through but really enjoyed it ( A bit more than Ron lol) and watched the lot. Good walk through. Well done. We sub'd to your channel when you told everyone your Mum had turtles head. This one made us giggle again. 👍😂
You can dump your excess energy into your water heater, or radiator system. It's a $50 part. There's a video out on it somewhere I'm sure. Might even be cheaper now. Hope this helps use some of those spare amps on a sunny day. ;)
Hi guys. Nice vlog, as usual. Just a little question. Please where did you get your recliners? They are perfect because of not having separate footstools.

Hi Maureen. My brother Gary died last October the very day we put a deposit down on Olive. At bit of a smack in the face really we got back from viewing Olive then got a phone call from my son Luke informing me that Gary had just died. He lived in Egypt and went out with his friends for drinks the night before and never woke up his friends think he had a massive heart attack as when they found him in his house it looked like he had just fallen to sleep. So that is one good thing it's just the family they leave behind. My Mum and Dad are 83 and 85 and are absolutely devastated don't think they will ever get over it. Its only me left so I try and see them as much as I can. Thanks for asking Maureen. Life is too short enjoy everyday xx
Thanks Maureen he will never be forgotten. We have so many great memories. He had a big personality and lit the room up whenever he walked into one. Take care xx

Lovely an cosy on their she lovely olive x
Thanks you two we loved your home too and your lovely hospitality. Lots of love 💘 ❤ 😍 💖 ❣
Great vid great boat 100%
Thanks John glad you enjoyed it
Another great video....nice to see how you all so chilled at presenting now compared to your first videos. Your mum's a professional! Does Andy sleep at front because he snores? 🤣
Yes Phil. I haven't slept with Andy in years I am such a light sleeper he would wake me up. It's like an earthquake 😳. Still love the big softie though xx
She’s beautiful! ❤️🇨🇦
Thanks Bernice we love her ❤ 💕
Hi Taylors, I for one, love your Vlogs and have watched since you bought Olive. Pete.
Thanks Pete it's only occasionally we need a bow thruster and we use Josh as our bow thruster. Keep watching and enjoying many More to come.
First off thought nearly 60 minutes was going to be way to much for us to watch through but really enjoyed it ( A bit more than Ron lol) and watched the lot. Good walk through. Well done. We sub'd to your channel when you told everyone your Mum had turtles head. This one made us giggle again. 👍😂
Thanks so much for the positive comments. Keep watching and enjoying 😉
You can dump your excess energy into your water heater, or radiator system. It's a $50 part. There's a video out on it somewhere I'm sure. Might even be cheaper now. Hope this helps use some of those spare amps on a sunny day. ;)
Thanks for the advice we will look into that.
really enjoyed this one :)
Thanks Maureen
When are you planning on leaving your folks to it and going cruising your own way?
In a couple of years, probably when I get a girlfriend. I'm going to buy a smaller boat and do it up with dad
What months are too cold to enjoy continuous cruising?
Usually November, December, January and February 👍but we are still planning on cruising then
How is the Jackery review going, which model did you get?, why have they made a solar panel that you can't get wet?
How do you know I have the jackery?
Nothing goes hidden these days , tracked from birth to death and Google is king.
Hi guys. Nice vlog, as usual. Just a little question. Please where did you get your recliners? They are perfect because of not having separate footstools.
Sorry Susan we don't know they came with Olive when we moved onto her. We love them ❤
You should have metioned it's not a cigarette lighter it's a charging point for Dad's Vape
He has always got his bloody vape plugged in and one of these days I am going to trip over it and fall in the canal lol 😆 😂
@@darkmatterxi lve just spent £60 on a month's worth of Vape oil and coils. Just emagine what that would have cost me in tobacco I'm a fellow vaper I can see him enjoying it as much as I do 😎😎
Yes he loves his vaping. 10 years ago at the age of 38 John he had a heart attack and had 2 stents fitted so really didn't have a choice he had to give up smoking which he loved. Vaping is expensive but much better for your health John.
@@darkmatterxi lve actually made it to the ripe old age of 70 what with all the the things I've smoked or have put down my throat over the years l have to wonder in amazement how I've managed to make it this far 🤣😀😀😱😱👀
Take care John just enjoy life my friend.
Where did you get the Gucci Envy aftershave from in the bathroom? Great video.
Sorry not sure it was a present from my late brother. He lived in Egypt and used to come back to the UK alot so probably got it from duty free shop
@@darkmatterxi Im sure you will but look after that its been discontinued:)
That's interesting to know maybe we should sell it and make some money
Where did you get your porthole from guys?
Hiya, midland chandlers 👍
@@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboat was it pricey?
A bit they were £24 for each porthole and £10 for the glass so overall £68
@@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboat they’re nice though.
Thanks we like it as we haven't any on Olive so makes a nice feature.
please tell us the story of Diane's brother Gary??
@@darkmatterxi so sorry for your loss Diane.. that can be very devastating for sure :(
Thanks Maureen he will never be forgotten. We have so many great memories. He had a big personality and lit the room up whenever he walked into one. Take care xx
What is a WW2 heavy bomber doing in the air? Airshow?
I'm not sure, but there seems to be a lot of planes flying around here 👍
70ft. Just to keep it decent 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
