A truly Awesome video! I learned a lot and got some ideas of my own to try. I have to say, since I've started following this channel I've been tempted to go down to the basement, dig up my ArmyTransport (Division) and see what kind of damage I can do even if I don't have anyone to play with or show off to anymore.
I know this is a year old now. Played classic BT 3rd edition box set and played all the way til 2000. Forgot all about it until I was cleaning. Now that found them may try my hand at painting.
Can I make a request for a future video, painting cockpits, especially for battlemechs with larger canopy? How do you blend from one shade to the next for the glass. It's always been that amazing finishing touch I would love to learn. I've learned so much from your video's so far, thank you for them so much!
Absolutely. While I can't promise it will get done in any near timeframe, I'll say that the oldest content on the channel needs some updating so I was planning on doing some version 2.0 runs on some of them and jeweling/lensing was on the list. Thanks for the feedback and I'll try to remember to paint a Battlemaster as an example.
Hello B1Bflyer, I love your videos. They are very instructive and you learn a lot with them. Especially details that he overlooked: P. I have a question for you; Where do you get the decals for your minis in the videos and others? Thanks, and upload more videos like this.
Great to hear that you enjoy the videos. The decals I use are mostly from www.fightingpirhannhagraphics.com. Others I've used have been from the Robotech RPG Tactics decal sheets as well as some that I've printed myself on Testors' decal paper.
Do you a video in how to paint black as a main color with deep purple or other colors as highlights and joints? Its been along time since I have painted.
Nothing specifically covering black. I prefer to use a blue-black color from secret weapon miniatures called "Tire Black" as my build up to show highlight on black miniatures and then do a bit of edge highlighting with a light grey.
I drill my PPC and laser barrels. Did I mess up? It's just the old pics used to have the barrels hollowed out instead of having a lens towards the front.
there's nothing wrong with drilling out barrels, I do it on purpose with missile, A/C and Gauss barrels. But for this particular technique, if the depth is more than 1-2mm, you're going to get a natural shadow cast on the opening that will work against what you're trying to do. You can always put a bit of putty or filler in the hole to fill and re-drill if needed and then paint over it, even if the model is nearly finished.
I might suck at drawing but i have a massive (relatively) to most people who have to go buy dis dis an dat from a million difrent websites my Mom owns a Hobby shop
Absolutely criminally underrated channel. Awesome content!
Thanks for the compliment!
Agreed. We need moar 😁
I know it's gonna be a good day when I see a new CSO vid uploaded 👍
Same!
I am embarking on a big clan fleet expansion and this could work for plasma drives. Thanks!!
AWESOME! A new CSO painting video! Great to see new content!
Really dig the purple on that Griffin.
I should be getting the box set delivered in the next couple days. I can't wait to paint these.

Thanks, great to hear you found the channel. Dig up those old models and have some fun slinging some paint.

@@CamoSpecsOnline That is the exact mech I had in mind, lol. Thank you I look forward to everything that is coming!
Thx guy‘s 👌
Thanks for the tips!! This is "AWESOME"!! Lol
You bet, Awesomes are awesome!
I've had similar results with an undercoat of White (Vallejo Model) and a very light under loaded touch of the Contrast Paint Talassar Blue.
Excellent tip, I'll see about giving that a try

Do you have a go-to place online for your paints?
Typically I buy from my local game store but on occasion I'll pick up paints from Monument Games/Creature Caster or ebay.
@@CamoSpecsOnline Thank you for the response and for all the videos. They are well done.
