Funny Fact this wave has been surfed for the first time By Tahitian in 600 AJC By twins who were the Kings of TARAVAO with surf made out of breath fruit tree bark. I guess they would be pretty Proud to see this from a Va'a (tahitian name for Canoe) actually haha

Would love to see the raw footage of the day! Its so much better hearing the raw force of the wave , the cheers , seeing what happens after the guy gets thrown over the falls and seeing when he pops up and the next wave comes. As a surfer , your heart starts racing when you get the raw footage as you feel like your there. Any chance of loading some raw footage?

I'd love to watch Teahupoo from the channel, but I am too old to try surfing it. Actually, even when I was a young surfer, I don't think I would have been keen. Kudos to those surfers that charge it 😍❤
Never been there now 56 even at my surfing peak mid 30 i could never have paddled in to Chops i had the physical body and mind and might have had a go at a tow in shoulder hop LOL.

Has anyone been out diving when it's flat to show what the bottom looks like ? To show why it breaks like that. Starts off like a huge tube then hits the bowl section then mutates. And what is that break at to of screen on Right hand side ?

It's not 4 feet deep if it was they would all be dead when they Wipeout. Probably around 10 feet deep. They would all be ground beef at 4 feet. On smaller days it's 4 feet deep.

So...I'm very curious about a couple things here:
1. There were plenty of surfers that ate it in that massive torrent. How did they not drown?
2. How did those surfers also not be crushed like an aluminum can?
