Instead of jugs I prefer using 5 gallon buckets as they store inside each other so take up less room when empty. They're BPA free at Walmart and about $4. Home Depot has sealing lids with gaskets so they don't leak while you're driving. Walmart also usually has leftover 4 gallon square buckets in the deli for $1 each.

I have a small Brita water filter that supposedly filters out lead as well as micro organisms (but it filters so fast that I am a bit skeptical of their claims). Any brand that can be found on Walmart shelves or in stores that are everywhere makes getting replacement filters easier (and the smaller the pitcher the better). These also filter out the healthy minerals from water so that is one more reason I take a cheap multi mineral supplement to compensate.

Just a F.Y.I. If you go to a grocery store and buy a gallon of H2O, you’ll see an expiration date on the jug. Water doesn’t expire. The expiration date is because of the plastic the water is stored in. Over time, plastic breaks down, and from what I’ve read, chemicals can seep into your drinking water. This happens more rapidly in hotter climates than in cooler ones. You might want to purchase new water containers annually, or however frequently you think your circumstance would require. This won’t happen in a glass container, but of course the same size glass container would be heavy! ❤❤❤ blessings to you!

Great information, thanks for writing in! Yeah you are right, especially in the heat that plastic crap breaks down very quickly. Hope you have a great Independence Day 🇺🇸😎 -Kenny

Not really I was pretty much rolling hills. We have a few higher spots next to the Mississippi river on a few bluffs, but that’s about it.

@ARealLiveNomad the algorithm just threw you in my feed. This is my 3rd year full time in my 03 Ram Van w/turtle top. There's artesian wells sprinkled all over the UP where I am now. Highs in low 70's lows in low 50's. Spent last 16 days on Lake Huron, time for supplies, water and a hot shower. Man this is the sweet spot.
