It's a good time to go to Colorado you're going to love the San Juan's just be aware that it's going to be crowed so many people in Colorado it's ruined the state. I'm 62 and was born there and have been all over chasing 14er's and top 100 mountains I left there 20 years ago because of the crowds and it's worse now, the places have just been trampled but it's still Beautyful and worth checking out. Most of the cattle are pretty dossal just be careful of the black and white ones they can be a little sketchy. If you run into them just keep flanking them at a distance and they will eventually run away and if you develop a hardy "Hay yep" you can kind of drive them away also. They're there because the state leases out the land to grazing. Being an old guy we never had apps to guide us, we depended on topo maps we learned to use a compass and our wits it's a lost art. I'm with you on the maps it's kind of old school but you get a lot better lay of the land by studding them and your involved with things by studding them. Hope you enjoy your time there and hope you start feeling better.

The first time I ever took Benadryl, I didn’t know it was going to make me sleepy. I took it at the beginning of a work shift. I had to go home early because I couldn’t stand up anymore! Lesson learned! 😅

The cow may have been looking for some food, water or help. It likely got out of its pasture and wandered afar. If it was a bull, it would not likely charge you but it might charge at your dog if the dog showed agression. It's likely used to humans. Cows are herd creatures and are vurlnerable when left unprotected by the herd and withough social interaction as this one seems to be. Will be good to see what you discover in CO. Living in a truck camper and now a trailer I’ve gotten used to propane for cooking , a water heater and sometimes the absorption fridge . I cook and boil water for coffee quite a bit so I’m thinking propane is the better value . If there’s a stove that runs off both maybe I’ll give butane a try for my van . 🕺👍

Question my friend. I’m going to Colorado from Texas and was considering Cebolla Mesa camp ground for a night or two as an in between place to camp. I know it’s been raining up that way. I wanted your opinion on whether I should find somewhere else or drive up there and see how it is myself with the muddy roads. I know you’ve spent a good amount of time over there so let me know what you think. I’d hate to drive all the way there only to find muddy roads but I know it’s part how things work. Thank you

Ive considered buying one these, im using a 40 yr old Coleman that uses liquid kerosene. it's very reliable, but it's a bear to lug around

I have one of these and I really like it too. I used it while I was camping in the back of my pickup.

You can get a much better quality butane stove and fuel for about the same price. Fuel is cheaper too. saw a 4 pac butane for $5. Colman butane stove is just a cheap steel made same unit from asia with its name on it. After so many uses, it rust out with spills and such. The Japanese butane stoves are stainless steel and last years. Buy at Japanese grocery store.

Go check prices on the fuel cans at Asian food stores, normally cheaper than Walmart

Sorry friend but, back in the day flame cookers were fine for food cooking & warming. Now solar powered induction stove tops are safer in the fire ravished west Raw plant based food works well too. Thanks, and... 👍 Rock on 🙂.

I am about to be homeless and sleeping in my truck at the end of the month and am 55 years old. Disabled from an injury and have COPD. I'm scared shit for the first time in my life.

for emergency backup cooking I have a little alcohol stove and several of the yellow bottles of HEET (not the red bottles). The best part is I can put the HEET in gas tank if I ever get bad gas anywhere. Make sure you have good ventilation if you cook like this.

I like you and your channel, enjoy keeping up with where you are and the places you go the views and the diverse places you camp, to be honest I'm more into the places you visit and not the reviews. You're the little guy humble and not pretentious just a regular person. Have you considered the cost to the environment with cans that are a onetime use? A propane stove with an adaptor hose and a large bottle would be more cost effective and generate less trash and their compatible with a Buddy heater. The Butane won't atomize in the cold when you'll need that warn meal. I know your space is limited and I'm probably "preaching" environmental cost's but well... that's just what I do. I keep mine in the right front floor seems a safe place and makes use of an underutilized space. I hope to be back out next year, and I haven't spent much time in New Mexico so your content really interests me. Thanks for keeping us entertained!

I'm in the same boat, I sold everything craiglist offerup I'm on the same 1200 ssd' I took one pay ck put down payment on offgrid lot in mohave county got a storage unit go to food banks I've ate a lot of topramin I immediately traded in the car got a cheap Rv now I'm back rockin planting my offgrid raised gardens things are good tell everyone about the Ltvr at Quartzsite to yuma for 180.00 for 6monts I do kingman in the summers then winter @the long term 6 month rv park in Yuma you can live super cheap and enjoy every minute of it enjoy

My community has many Viet Nam vets some not doing well forced to become homeless or live in old Winnebago’s and that wasn’t so bad when they could park all night on highway pull outs along the ocean to sleep then spend the day in town but the pullouts became off limits for nights . Memorials are reminders of the tragedy of war. Thank you for the video of the beautiful memorial I’m sure unknown to most people. My husband spent 14 months in Nam we communicated by cassettes then I recorded my letter over the same cassette I still have those cassettes . The war protestors ended the war. My husband was drafted didn’t claim bone spurs to avoid his duty. 🇺🇸

No one should have to live in their car. I went into Walmart for an hour ot so and when I came back to my car it was like an oven. If I had to live in that hot car in summer, I would die.

I would have found a near by place to spend the night not drive back Taos. . It’s still monsoon season so tomorrow it may have rained again . I like the road to the ski area it is pretty not like a desert and there is free camping but it’s higher in elevation and not so sure about cell and internet. If you got stuck auto club doesn’t go on dirt roads so you would wait for someone to pull you out better carry a tow rope . Have you thought of a cb radio for emergencies ? Now some People have we boost directional antennas for cell service and star link but none of those alway work.

When you eliminate all the things in your life that causes you stress..Job,wife,family,kids….you will now be at war with yourself…your mind…boredom..trying to live on pennies each month..life is a double edged sword….working a job is the best thing for you..simple
