Randy is pure class...such a real and good good man...let's celabrate him now, don't wait until he's a memory for us...he's a living legend and our love is empty if we don't give it to him while he can appreciate it...why do people wait for someone to die before expressing the love?
Randy Bachman and Neil Young have made our lives so much better with their music. Neil Young's Needle and the Damage Done kept me away from H. Thanks for your help!
Gee, I'm surprised at no mention of how amazingly Mr. Bachman can make his voice sound like Neil Young's - and how at 74 yrs old he can hit those high notes! It's very different from hearing him on his BTO material. What a true artist!!
1973 I was 19 years old. I saw Neil Young with Crosby Stills, Nash and Young. At Old Dominion College in Norfolk Chesapeake Bay VA, right on the water. Only about 200 people there. ALot of smokin goin on. Kicked back and relaxed on the grassy hills. A concert that we all sang with them. bEAUTFUL Sunny warm day with a breeze of wind blowing from the bay. Fantastic day. One of my favorite sing . There was a lot of concerts in the area. I think because of the NAVEL BASES are there. Thank you.
Obviously a lot of love and admiration for Neil by Randy. Neil used to idolize Randy when they were kids and he used to go see Randy play so he could learn his licks. Great video. Long may you run!
Canadian by birth and raised in Ontario, married a Florida gator and moved south.- you can take the girl out of the country but ........... this video makes me smile so big! I love my humble Canadians.😌 Thankful! Long may you run.
It truly is amazing just how much Randy can make himself sound like Neil while vocalizing his songs. Listening to Randy singing his own songs, one would never imagine he could sound like Neil Young. THAT is pretty amazing, and a real indicator of just how versatile Bachman really is.
Im all for praise but Randy sounds nothing like Neil Young here other than he is singing in falsetto. He is really not nailing the vocals here on a technical level - However, he is in his 70's now and this is more about the story than the performance.
I saw BTO in 1974 in Hawaii at the Diamond Head Crater Celebration, they were the last act of the day and they blew away everyone else who played prior to them. What a great memory!
Randy is one cool dude , also good to see burton enjoying life and having fun. , I always loved neils amazing talent, I hope he can be more friendly and enjoy life like these guys. He tends to load the worlds problems on his shoulder . " NEIL LAUGH AND HAVE FUN ", You did your job bringing awarness. Have fun now bud !
I've had the pleasure and good fortune to see both Neil an Randy perform live in New Zealand , a couple of my favourite artists for the passed fifty years. Truly gifted, talented hard working professional songsters that will always be an inspiration. Long may you run,you aint seen nothing yet. And a shout out to supportive mothers and fathers around the world who believe in their kids dreams.
U ARE WHAT EVERYONE WANTS. A HOME AWAY FROM HOME DEAR FRIEND. NEAL YOUNG IS LUCKY TO HAVE YOU AS A FRIEND. AND U ARE LUCKY TO BE BORN A CANADIAN. VIVA!! RANDY AND NEAL THEY ARE BOTH CANADIAN. AND SO HAPPY YOUR MUSIC WILD IS WORLD WIDE APPRECIATED.
Randy & Neil! 2 of my favorites. Echos of my youth. I will be playing Harvest Moon at a winery this afternoon. Love it more each and every time. Peace.
Randy is great, I listen to his radio show on CBC Radio One on repeat on Friday nights, just because there's a hockey game on Saturday night. His stories are great.
These two go wayyy back and he never forgets it.....say what u like about the man. But he was rocknroll in this fine frozen country.. ...and he never forgot about us either . A pioneer and a great riff writer too
I saw Ringo Starr's all stars at Radio City in NYC : entwistle, mark farner, Billy Preston, F Cavalleri, great crew. People stayed in their seats until Randi played TCB. The place rocked thereafter.
I was actually at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion concert Randy is referring to. Age 14 and my 19 year old sister took me. This became the Pig album named Young Man's Fancy. A life changing event. See Neil over 70 times, no joke.
Oh this was so nice, I loved the story of Neil Youngs Mom calling in to the radio station then all the other Moms..... So funny these stories are, from a era I dearly miss☮️
Well done ... Neil influenced my life as well . Our yacht mechanic told me about The Bridge ... one of Neil's deals to help the people ... Randy, you did very well.
@@runetollefsen7458 It's funny you say that Rune. Our music is quite different than American music. If you pay attention you will see the difference. Thank you for your kind words.
Over the last few years finding Randy in the different stages of his career on TH-cam I have learned what an awesome musician, writer and preformer he really is. I enjoy every thing I have found. And about tonight he does Neil Young so we'll it had to believe it wasn't Neil. AWESOME
Circa 1970 I was at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion concert of Neil Young which Randy Backman is talking about. Dorothy Chandler was not a Rock venue. If I had to guess it was probably David Geffen that booked this for Neil. Regardless, the acoustics were phenomenal even up against the Greek and the Hollywood Bowl. Neil came out with his guitar and that was it. No bass, no drums, nothing. I saw a lot of significant performances during that time period growing up in Los Angeles, but this was the best live music performance I had ever seen. The evening was rounded off by a midnight trip to Canters Deli.
🌹Winnipeg should've been renamed🏆Winnerpeg in the 1960s. I had an Aunt living in Winnipeg and we went to visit and it took us 3 days to go from Ottawa Ontario to Winnipeg Manitoba. I would get angry as a 10 year old driving between desolate towns when the radio reception went out. Every hour I listened to Neil Young, The Guess Who, BTO and Joni Mitchell over and over again and never got bored. I respect them all for being at the top of the Canadian music ladder rungs, for me Neil Young, Randy Bachman and Joni Mitchell were the top 3 and I still think that way today. 🌹Randy Bachman couldn't have made a better hommage to the great Neil Young and I thank them all for being🤍Humanitarians first,🎼🎓Musicians second. 🇨🇦✌🏻🎶❤️✨🌎
Randy Bachman what a icon underrated
Taking care of business and working overtime
BTO was really something.

Thanks Tye. You raise many good points. It's most certainly not to early to celebrate the life and career of Randy Bachman!
Randy Bachman and Neil Young have made our lives so much better with their music. Neil Young's Needle and the Damage Done kept me away from H. Thanks for your help!
Randy Bachman - such a storyteller.
Wow, Randy sings just like Neil Young, and plays his great songs. Amazing.
What a beautiful tribute from a beautiful man. Thank you Randy

A true friendship, Neil and Randy. Such a beautiful thing.
Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings & The Guess Who belong in the Rock Hall of Fame.
Great musicians, great band, great human beings....
Tom Gebarowski darn Right 🥰👍
And bto
Agree. RB is both immensely talented and very humble. McCartney has said the Guess Who were a big influence.
I realize it is kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good website to stream new movies online?
@Harvey Douglas Lately I have been using flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
Randy Bachman... what a great and sympathetic person!! Long may you run, too!
Superstsr.
This is pure rock and roll long live the good times
Randy musical genius
Wow...what an amazing tribute. Very well done, Mr. Bachman.
Randy is true guitar legend....no exceptions!
Randy Bachman has a great soul! Can't wait to see him in concert next Summer with Burton Cummings.

Good on ya for not leaving Canadian music behind!
Randy is a legend. Having said that, he absolutely murdered that first song. It's been a while since I've heard a song slaughtered that badly.

Like his radio show, Randy is great at talking about music. So passionate. And he's written great songs too!
Great tribute! Fascinating how he captures Neil’s vocal style.
what a special tribute to NY, not a simple mention...or a tune or two... a freaking set... what a recognition...super video... thanks...
I’ve listened to interviews with Randy before. Truly a nice and gentle man.
Love the interweaving of the early Winnepig music scene in the tribute. Always amazing the trajectory from playing school dances to arenas.
zero pretense….self effacing, down to earth, what a great guy Randy Bachman is
Better enjoy these guys for as long as we have them. Life is short
His interviews talking about his journey are absolutely fascinating

One of the greatest and without a doubt the most under rated guitar players of all time.Randy Bachman.
Love it. Randy and Burton are incredible!
True legends of Canadian rock and roll. Talented lyricists and musician's .
From a 64yr old fart in Kalbaskraal, South Africa - Legends full time period, from anywhere in the world, Neil in particular has been my church
Love Randy Bachman!! Love Neil Young!! What a sweet tribute!!
My rock and roll hero since I was 12 years old. Much love to you, Randy Bachman, and thank you for the music!
They've been good friends for a long time.
Randy Bachman does the best Neil Young impersonation ever.
Randy ...what a tribute! And a great musician in his own right!!!
By his own admission Randy isn't much of a singer; but his voice is perfectly suited for a Neil Young tribute. Thanks!
Bachman Turner Overdrive 😂😂😂😂

He wrote and played great riffs, think of the intro to "No Time (left for you) by the Guess Who.
Neil is one of the best songwriters ever
@Randy Bachman hi.....thank you Sir...but you are kidding me you are Mr. BACHMAN??????
You know you've made it when Bachman gets on stage and completely slaughters your work.
That is a beautiful guitar!
Does anyone know what make/model Randy's guitar here is?
Besides his musical talent I love his character… true to the end “long may you run”
Beautiful, just beautiful 💚💚
Love this so much!
