Yes! 😮 (One scene that stays with me is from The Mummy - when the scarab bugs engulf the guy and you can see them crawl under his skin up to his head 😢 😭)
Watership down>Plague Dogs>Chirin no Ringing bell>Bambi>The land Before time>dumbo (Watership & plague dogs aren't kids' movies, but since they're animated & parents mostly took their kids to see them, well...)
That Shane can't remember he told the Copperfield story on a Too Many Spirits episode and neither Ryan nor Steven (who's supposed to be sober all night) can't remember it either says a lot in how chaotic the TMS filmings must be.
Is it just me, or does it seem like Stephen doesn't know what they mean by "squirter" 🤣🤣 I replayed it over and over and it seems to either go over his head, or he doesn't know what they mean 🤣🤣
i have to admit i was tearing my hair out when they were arguing over whether beer vs soda was worse and NO one listening to steven saying beer literally has a toxic substance in it.
I was in middle of my workout,n I just paused to marvel at the name of the products!! Lawn mower? Weed hacker? U know how they name women's product: satin finish, silk touch, velvet smooth 😂
Going through a really hard break up right now, we actually went out to Boston together to see you guys. Ryan gave me a bit of hope. I appreciate Watcher for creating content that gives me something to look forward to during my darker days.
It will get better, it's repeated often, but it's still true. I got cheated on and then dumped right in the middle of a workday on a construction site. I completely broke down in front of everyone(and they were actually pretty nice about it). Now I've been with my partner for almost 10 years and we had a kid. It will get better all you have to do is hold on which can seem impossible but you got this.
shane’s advice is 100% right- breakups feel in the moment (and for a while) like the end of the world, and just like ryan said, it really isn’t the case! it’s gonna be okay!!🫶🏻
Shane could get banned from lazy acres and the next podcast would be him saying, "So I wore a disguise and snuck into lazy acres today. Terrible coffee."
Ryan looked so miserable in that old photo, I want to give him a hug so bad. Regarding movie scenes that traumatized me as a kid: I also struggled with body horror, and particularly torture and torture-adjacent stuff. Absolutely nothing was more scary to me than the "kali ma" scene from Temple of Doom (extremely offensive stuff, as well, but I didn't know that til later). I was only 7 or 8 when I saw that movie for the first time and I felt a kind of fear I'd never felt before watching the still-beating heart be pulled from that man's chest before he was lowered, alive, into lava. A close runner-up would probably be the eye-popping scene from Total Recall, which I saw around the same age.
Shane is gonna go back to Lazy Acres enough that he gets offered a part-time job, where he works his way up high enough to make changes and take over. Playing the long game.
The movies... Steven is talking about what sounds like The Butterfly Effect, But it could also be a movie called "The Jacket".... Shane I think you are talking about "The Burbs" a Tom Hanks movie 🤛
Or could it be the XFiles season 6 episode 14 "Monday" which I just happened to watch for the first time! There's a girl reliving a day when Mulder and Skully both get killed.
Shane left the stage to pee during the Houston show I was at! And for some reason that has come up like 3 times now and every time it cracks me up lol. Also Shane complained about how far the bathroom was and how long he was gone. ALSO Ryan spilled a drink on his crotch and said it looked like he pissed his pants, I think he even stood up to show us
I'm obsessed with sparkling water- especially with my adhd and arfid, I forget to drink water constantly. flavored water, juice, soda, tea, is really the only way I can stay hydrated. I've moved from soda to sparkling water, and it's so helpful. I'm still chronically dehydrated, but I'm not puking from it anymore, so I think I would spiral into a deep depression if sparkling water was found to be terrible for you. most sources say it can help with digestion and your cardiovascular system, but with too much can cause bloating, gas, and a possible wear-down of tooth enamel. I'd take that over puke every day.
That movie is butterfly effect Steven :) It messed me up too lol doesn't help I actively seek those kind of movies out. I'm big into horror. Also, love how you play all the cards games Ryan. I'm obsessed myself. I play them all, even neopets... to this day lol
This has quickly become my comfort podcast. I slept on and off all day (just not feeling well) and this is my third time playing the pod cause I want to hear what's being said 😂
I have never been able to get over the lady falling to her death at the beginning of the movie Cliffhanger. That actress just had the most harrowing screams, utterly traumatizing. One time, my other half was watching the movie while I was asleep and her screams woke me up, almost as traumatizing as waking up to the red room backwards scene in Twin Peaks 😩😩😩
Shane and Ryan: Could you please do a holiday special with Steven where you watch through with him and provide commentary on the classic comedy, Skinamarink?
I relate to Steven, my family was into first but we already were drinking less sodas and juices so i stuck to tea, water and wine. I now keep unflavored sparkling waters in the house and make my own juices with it and having sparkling juices. If you haven't tried it, you should. Its better than a lot of things on the shelf
when I saw Chris Angel's show like a decade ago it was like 1/4 of the show was actual magic and the rest was him talking over a slideshow he put together of his life, very weird lmao
When I was in first grade, we watched an episode of Ghost Writer where they wrote a scary story. The purple blob man was horrifying, and I thought I hallucinated the whole experience until college, when a friend referenced it briefly. No clue why my teacher used that episode, but it was nightmare fuel for a long time.
Shane...my brother saw David Copperfield there around the same time and also thought the Hawaii transform thing. My brother was also the only one who didn't stand for his ovation and got a glare from the stage. :)
1st: CONGRATS ON ACTUALLY HAVING SPONSORS NOW HAHAHA 2nd: I hope I'm not the only one who was impatiently waiting for Shane to talk about Lazy Acres hahahahaha
Mitch Pileggi aka Assistant Director Skinner from the X-Files narrated that Magics Biggest Secrets Revealed show. During the show he’s always making creepy remarks about the magicians female helpers/models. Haha
The talk of stuff recorded on VHS reminded me that my grandmother had this combo of The Wizard of Oz, a live action Peter Pan with Mary Martin playing Peter, and Gremlins all back to back on one tape that I watched over and over as a kid. I can still remember some of the commercials - OshKosh B'Gosh and the Campbell's soup one where the snowman goes inside to eat soup and melts to reveal a kid.
I really like these episodes. I like how casual and unscripted they seem. I also love hearing about the behind the scenes of previous shows. Super cool. As always, Steven Lim is our king 😂❤
Over the course of these episodes ive come to terms with the fact i have the exact same memory problems as Steven. Can never remember anything, and if i can its a very blurry image and all im left with is the feeling it gave me which means dealing with trauma is difficult. I feel ya Steven 👍
I can't think of a lot of TV show or movie scenes that scared me as a kid, but the one that I can remember is from Futurama. There's an episode where they go to the fountain of aging and Zoidberg just disintegrates into the pool and watching that at like 5-6 years old scared the absolute shit out of me.
That magic school bus scene really scared me too. Then a couple years later I walked in on my dad watching Mission to Mars and got double traumatized when that dude in it takes off his helmet and freezes. Yikes!
I grew up watching that same made-for-TV version of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass as Shane! Love it. It's actually entirely on youtube and such a great watch. Very nostalgic for me
I too was obsessed with Masked Magician as a child and that show was dramatic for no reason. I was STRESSED out for this man thinking that the other magicians in the industry were going to wack him or something for spilling the tea 😭😭😭
I'm months late, but Steven, I can't be sure, but the time loop movie you were talking about instantly made me think of Hellraiser Inferno, because I had a similar reaction to it as a kid
I didn't think that I was a podcast type-a-gal before these boys started casting, now they're my go to listen for deep cleaning (helps me keep on task)
Omg!! The Masked Magician was a huge hit here in brazil (but he was called Mister M here lol). I loved watching the magic tricks but his mask freaked me out lmao. Im begging you guys to bring the magician for a Too Many Spirits special episode
When the guys are talking about the movies that scared you and still kinda haunt you well I've got a "good" one. I'm 21 now and I can kinda laugh at it now but until I was maybe 18-19 I was absolutely horrified of one scene from Madagascar.... Specifically the scene where Mort is on the wing of the plane. I don't remember which movie and I don't care to find out because for some reason it still makes my skin crawl 😂😭
I was a night owl when I was younger I was wired at midnight. Its changed as I've gotten older. The best thing I ever did was have my doctor prescribe me sleep meds. Improved every aspect of my life. Melatonin really helps me as well.
Shane bringing up that exact Alice in Wonderland scene followed by the Gate - the same scarring childhood movies/scenes for me! I swear I thought that Alice in Wonderland movie was a fever dream.
Ladies restrooms are the worst hands down. From ppl leaving bloody things behind... shit on the walls... I seen shit in the sink once in women's restroom. 😂
I hope that one day Shane walks in to Lazy Acres and there's just a wanted poster of him at every register.
I think they should a WWW World episode there and put Shane in Lazy Acres jail.
you guys are the optimal stream of consciousness type of podcast that i need whenever i'm drawing,,
literally I got the notification for this before I started painting and was so happy
@@marcelthestarssame haha its nice to listen to while painting
i listen while photo editing!
Literally drawing right now and you're so so right about this
I got to tried that ! what you guys draw ?
Steven's beef with magicians is the most Steven Lim thing ever
I watch every week to see the continuing drama of Shane vs Lazy Acres
They should do a top 5 beat down about traumatic children's movies
Yes! 😮 (One scene that stays with me is from The Mummy - when the scarab bugs engulf the guy and you can see them crawl under his skin up to his head 😢 😭)
The mummy isn’t a kids movie 🍿 though
Watership down>Plague Dogs>Chirin no Ringing bell>Bambi>The land Before time>dumbo
(Watership & plague dogs aren't kids' movies, but since they're animated & parents mostly took their kids to see them, well...)
Originally it was a book but Bridge to Teribithia
Coraline's gotta be up there
That movie even creeps out adults
That Shane can't remember he told the Copperfield story on a Too Many Spirits episode and neither Ryan nor Steven (who's supposed to be sober all night) can't remember it either says a lot in how chaotic the TMS filmings must be.
IF that is Steven sober in TMS I need to see him drunk
When I was a kid, my mom called Squirtle “Squirter.” This podcast just unlocked that memory. Thanks, guys
Yes!! Haha also I’m a nutritionist so hearing them try to figure out glycemic index was killing me 😂
Right? Alcohol is literally poisonous to the body, lmao
You can tell Ryan wanted to laugh in the Manscaped AD LMFAO
I need to know how many takes Ryan needed to get through that manscaped add read without breaking 😂
I was in middle of my workout,n I just paused to marvel at the name of the products!! Lawn mower? Weed hacker?
U know how they name women's product: satin finish, silk touch, velvet smooth 😂
It was such a wild ride to listen to!
Steven is a hero for peeing sitting down and not being ashamed of it
Why?
Going through a really hard break up right now, we actually went out to Boston together to see you guys. Ryan gave me a bit of hope. I appreciate Watcher for creating content that gives me something to look forward to during my darker days.
You got this! Times are gonna be hard now but I promise it gets better. And eventually one day this pain will be a footnote on your journey.
picking up new hobbies will definitely help
I’m also going through a breakup right now. Shane’s advice and Ryan’s story really helped. We got this!
It will get better, it's repeated often, but it's still true. I got cheated on and then dumped right in the middle of a workday on a construction site. I completely broke down in front of everyone(and they were actually pretty nice about it). Now I've been with my partner for almost 10 years and we had a kid. shane’s advice is 100% right- breakups feel in the moment (and for a while) like the end of the world, and just like ryan said, it really isn’t the case! it’s gonna be okay!!🫶🏻
The three of you have the most soothing podcast voices. Also, when does Shane not have interesting topics?
We just listened to him talk about water... literal water and I was hooked the entire time he could talk about anything and make it fun
Shane could get banned from lazy acres and the next podcast would be him saying, "So I wore a disguise and snuck into lazy acres today. Terrible coffee."
Steven, thank you! As a wife and mom I can tell you there is always splash for standing pees! You just don’t notice it
When I think of what's under the seat, if it's not lifted at the very least....
I always think why is it that women clean the toilet when men are the ones that can SEE how gross it gets under the lid!
The Lazy Acres podcast starring Shane Madej, featuring Ryan and Steven.
Nothing brings more sincerity to a podcast than "Crop Preserver, anti-chafe ball deodorant. Once they touch your sack, you never go back."
If there was a Lazy Acres in my area I would absolutely shop there after hearing about Shane’s experiences!
Me too, and I live in the UK. I want to go there and check their vegetarian and vegan stuff.
Shane is gonna go back to Lazy Acres enough that he gets offered a part-time job, where he works his way up high enough to make changes and take over. Playing the long game.

Oops Scully
I immediately though Butterfly Effect as well
Came to the comments for someone to say Butterfly Effect, definitely think that's what he was talking about.
My mind went to Disturbia.
Shane left the stage to pee during the Houston show I was at! And for some reason that has come up like 3 times now and every time it cracks me up lol. Also Shane complained about how far the bathroom was and how long he was gone.
ALSO Ryan spilled a drink on his crotch and said it looked like he pissed his pants, I think he even stood up to show us
I was at the show and yeah he did
Ryan trying not to lose it while reading the manscaped sponsre 😭✋

Ryan ate that cherry tomato like he was a contestant on fear factor! hahaha
i could have lived my entire life without that brain sucking scene 😭😭 ryan you’re so valid for being scarred
I had to cover my eyes 🤣
Ryan is rocking the Minion-core
That movie is butterfly effect Steven :) It messed me up too lol doesn't help I actively seek those kind of movies out. I'm big into horror. Also, love how you play all the cards games Ryan. I'm obsessed myself. I play them all, even neopets... to this day lol
I watched butterfly effect as a young adult and it really messed me up in the head. Never again 😅
This has quickly become my comfort podcast. I slept on and off all day (just not feeling well) and this is my third time playing the pod cause I want to hear what's being said 😂
Taeyang’s Eyes Nose Lips is still a bop after all these years 😭
This is by far the best podcast I listen to! 🎉🎉
I do love Matty popping in on this one, always a delight
It’s always great to hear a matty opinion!
Love you guys and I look forward to this every week
I have never been able to get over the lady falling to her death at the beginning of the movie Cliffhanger. That actress just had the most harrowing screams, utterly traumatizing. Steven not liking magic is very on brand for Steven 😂

43:43 Same. I loved those magic shows as a kids because I loved trying to figure it out.
love Matt's presence lol
Shane...my brother saw David Copperfield there around the same time and also thought the Hawaii transform thing. My brother was also the only one who didn't stand for his ovation and got a glare from the stage. :)
THE ALICE IN WONDERLAND IN SPECIAL!!! Oh my goodness that unlocked a memory for me, Shane. That scared the living crap out of me.
1st: CONGRATS ON ACTUALLY HAVING SPONSORS NOW HAHAHA
2nd: I hope I'm not the only one who was impatiently waiting for Shane to talk about Lazy Acres hahahahaha
Loving this podcast! Keep up the good work guys. Thank you for what you do!
i've loved these since the 1st episode. Thanks!
I was actually thinking about Eyes, Nose, Lips when I read that episode title, so I'm very happy Steven brought that up haha
My new favourite podcast to listen to while studying. Y'all truly are helping me get through uni rn
I was just in LA for Thanksgiving and I cannot tell you how much restraint it took not to go to Lazy Acres and see if they had cherry tomatoes.
That European joke was genius 💀 what a dad joke
Mitch Pileggi aka Assistant Director Skinner from the X-Files narrated that Magics Biggest Secrets Revealed show. During the show he’s always making creepy remarks about the magicians female helpers/models. Haha
This podcast is exactly what fans wanted!
The talk of stuff recorded on VHS reminded me that my grandmother had this combo of The Wizard of Oz, a live action Peter Pan with Mary Martin playing Peter, and Gremlins all back to back on one tape that I watched over and over as a kid. Super cool. As always, Steven Lim is our king 😂❤
I dont know why i love this podcast so much. 😂😂i just love these guys shooting the shit
YES SHANE BRINGING ATTENTION TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE SODAS. squirt soda is so good and nobody talks about it enough
Over the course of these episodes ive come to terms with the fact i have the exact same memory problems as Steven. Can never remember anything, and if i can its a very blurry image and all im left with is the feeling it gave me which means dealing with trauma is difficult. I feel ya Steven 👍

This is my favorite podcast for after work chill time
The cherry tomato peer pressure 🤣🤣🤣
That magic school bus scene really scared me too. Then a couple years later I walked in on my dad watching Mission to Mars and got double traumatized when that dude in it takes off his helmet and freezes. Yikes!
I grew up watching that same made-for-TV version of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass as Shane! Love it. It's actually entirely on youtube and such a great watch. Very nostalgic for me
19:49 I have guy friends who pee sitting down too. Not at outside toilets but definitely at home. To each their own, so don't feel weird about it.
this podcast makes mondays bearable
My mom always taught me that if it can’t be fixed in five minutes, don’t point it out and I live by that
Bless Steven. My husband also sits down to pee, and we never have mess! We all must sit!
I love that every ep there’s some new feedback on Lazy Acres it’s so interesting !
Love the podcast sm :) please don't stop making it! I look forward to it every Monday
I too was obsessed with Masked Magician as a child and that show was dramatic for no reason. I was STRESSED out for this man thinking that the other magicians in the industry were going to wack him or something for spilling the tea 😭😭😭
I was so scared of Arnold’s head freezing when I was a kid and now that you played the clip here all there years later I just died laughing at myself.
The villain in who framed Roger rabbit... That whole scene with him was so traumatic!
The magic scarf of Califonzo! “Veni vidi vici!” Love the Doug reference
I wish you did an episode everyday. I enjoy hearing you guys talk while im working
“I’m not down with a lot of magicians’ vibes, if I’m being honest.”
love this podcast
Ryan should watch Terrifier❤
I hope you guys do Tooo many spirits ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I'm months late, but Steven, I can't be sure, but the time loop movie you were talking about instantly made me think of Hellraiser Inferno, because I had a similar reaction to it as a kid
As someone who is absolutely heartbroken after a breakup right now… this is exactly what I needed. ❤
I didn't think that I was a podcast type-a-gal before these boys started casting, now they're my go to listen for deep cleaning (helps me keep on task)
These give so many things to know about each of them. Its very nice to know them like this ❤
Omg!! The Masked Magician was a huge hit here in brazil (but he was called Mister M here lol). I loved watching the magic tricks but his mask freaked me out lmao.
Im begging you guys to bring the magician for a Too Many Spirits special episode
The head shake Shane gives in the intro to lazy acres like the gravity of what has happened hahaha
Great memory throwbacks on this episode 🎉
This is the only straight male podcast that I follow 😂
OMG, great episode! During the Jabbawocky scene shown, my cat scared the crap outta me! Had to laugh at myself! Thanks peeps!😂
Dude, that parakeet memory unlocked the scene from Dumb and Dumber when that guy kills the bird. ugh, so upsetting, even now.
Pretty bird
When the guys are talking about the movies that scared you and still kinda haunt you well I've got a "good" one. You were so good at the advice podcast it rlly helped me!
The titles just make my day because you never know what the word association will be with it.
I was a night owl when I was younger I was wired at midnight. Its changed as I've gotten older. The best thing I ever did was have my doctor prescribe me sleep meds. Improved every aspect of my life. Melatonin really helps me as well.
I think the movie shane is thinking about is The Green Mile!!
Shane bringing up that exact Alice in Wonderland scene followed by the Gate - the same scarring childhood movies/scenes for me! I swear I thought that Alice in Wonderland movie was a fever dream.
You guys are always shouting out my favorite places. 🤙🏼 love it!
I absolutely love Sanzo!!! It's the best. I don't really like sparkling water, but their flavors are so good.
Sparkling water is just sad flat water. The bubbles are its tears.
This bathroom discussion reminds me of the days before I came out as trans. I do not miss the men's restrooms. Those were disgusting.
The cleanliness or lack thereof is one of the reasons I still use the women’s restroom even though I’m a more masc-leaning nonbinary person.
@@califrey99ladies rooms are gross too
public bathrooms in general are disgusting@@oooh19
Ladies restrooms are the worst hands down. From ppl leaving bloody things behind... shit on the walls... I seen shit in the sink once in women's restroom. 😂
as a mcdonalds employee PLEASE just ask for your fries cook to order. i promise we will cook them fresh. no salt fries are such a pain😭
