I loved these sounds as a teen, strange, from far away, foreign languages I didn't understand, just "unusual"' and thus a great escape from my daily life.

I used to do this in the 90's using a 60's AM radio connected to a generic walkman, then bring my samples into Deck for OS 9 on a G3 AIO. Your samples are way cooler than the weird evangelist radio programs I was getting back then. I can't wait to listen to your band's album. These samples are fantastic. Really great use of contemporary tech for aesthetics.

I remember Holger Czukay from the experimental German band, Can integrating shortwave radio sounds into their music back in the 1970s.

Fantastic ring modulation. I've messed around with short wave since I was a kid. I grew ip 50 miles south of the Voice of America antenna array in Ohio and I would pick up the weirdest stuff from everywhere. My brother still broadcasts on his HAM in Florida somewhere, but I don't listen to him, for political reasons. You have integrated these sounds in your music, just as I have.

Thank you for this video. It inspired me to come back to radio experimentations as I did in Gran Canarian cave. Thank you again.

Nice video! I've been using the Utwente site for years, it's a true goldmine for something like the MusicThing radio module.

Using samples in a song is not very new thing at all. But you are taking this whole thing totally in to another lever, creating totally new music genre👍🎶🙃

I'm a bit late to your question, but I suspect in that case you don't record musical bits.
All the various odd sounds would be very cool to play with, I reckon.
