    I installed B-safe on my new peak5 and connect bar.
    As others have commented, it took me more than two hours.
    Below, I want to evaluate B-safe itself, not whether it is easy to connect or not.
    I am an intermediate kite-rider in Niseko, Hokkaido.
    I go snow-kiting almost every day in good winter conditions.
    Since installing B-safe, I have had to work to remove the tangles in the line every time. Working with gloves off in sub-zero temperatures is like hell, and I was often disappointed when the wind died down during that time.
    The causes of the line tangled up are as follows:
    - More lines to be twisted by 5 lines,
    - B-safe line is stiff and less flexible,
    - There are two connection points in the middle of the B-safe line,
    In addition to the fact that the connect bar line is stiff and less flexible, the above B-safe problem seems to be making the problem worse.
    Even after removing the B-safe line, the connect bar line clearly feels more likely to tangle than other lines.
    I would not recommend potential users to use B-safe.
    I would also ask the manufacturer to change the material of their line.

    Not well explained, distracting music. Also the manuals that come with the peak 4 or the connect bar are pretty useless.

      Sorry to hear this Michael, we have general bar manuals and kite manuals with out products, on the product pages you will find a FAQ section at the bottom which goes more into detail on certain questions and details. Attaching B-Safe lines is just looping 3 larksheads around 3 attachment points and your done.

    One of the worst manuals ever. Look at buying this kites if you have hours and I mean hours of time solving the rats nest they call bridals. Screw that. Nothing like seeing other people having fun while you're trying to solve the bridal situation.

    Sorry not well done, flysurfer. Some details pictures would help. Some illustrations would be helpfull. The manual from the kite you caN throw to the wastress. The online peak manual helps you.

      I second that, the original manual is not much helpful. This video helps but detail illustrations would be quite good. Thanks its a great kite.

    Thanks for tutorial, but for me it's difficult to understand. It says that I have to grab the A line only, but on video it looks like he's grabbing A and B lines. So, where is the truth?

    • @FlysurferKites
      @FlysurferKites  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ales, grabbing the A lines is only necessary to put the A-lines aside to have a clean reachable B-level. Please follow the text in the video to assemble the B-Safe system on your PEAK4 kite.

      Ok. After careful watching again and again :) , I realized that he's grabbing A and B lines, but later put aside B lines and handles only A lines to make a clear way to the safety white line)
      For me manual helped less than watching a video)
      But finally I got it and attached the 5th line to my new Peak 4, 3m. I used a bar from FS lotus kite. I would like to have a new bar designed for Peak.
      It's beautiful and light.
      But... too expensive for me. It costs my monthly wages even though my wages is quite high in my country.
      I love my new Peak 4! Thanks to designers and developers!
      It has a beautiful design and colors!
      Looking forward to try it in medium winds and strong gusts))

    Dommage, ce n'est pas très compréhensible, flysurfer ne communique pas assez bien sur la mise en œuvre du B-safe System

      Hello Flysurfer,
      The question, can all the bars equipped with a fifth line be used with the B-safe system?
      I bought today the peak4 8m ² with the bar connect. But I already had a universal bar brand kite attitude on my peak3 4m ², and I would have liked to use it on the peak4.
      But as you told a user of an infinity flysurfer bar that he could not use the B-safe system, I would like to understand precisely the reasons.
      Is it a problem of length of the 5th line that should be adapted?
      I think this will appeal to other users.
      Thank you

      Which control bar is compatible with the B-Safe System?
      The B-Safe system can be activated with any 5th line safety control bar which has equal length flying lines. To do this, the enclosed set of PEAK4 B-Safe top lines need to be connected to the kite and the 5th line.

      @@raphaels532
      Which control bar can be used with the PEAK4?
      The PEAK4 can be flown with either the B-Safe system or the Front-Line Safety system(FLS). If you want to use the B-Safe system, you must use the CONNECT Bar System which was specially developed for this purpose. We recommend size M for all sizes of PEAK4.
      If you want to use the Front-Line Safety system then you must use a INFINITY 3.0 Bar System. Alternatively any conventional 4-line bar with a single front line safety and equally long flying lines can be used for the PEAK4.
      The PEAK4 works equally well with 4-line or 5-line control bar systems.

    Can you use the Infinity bar with the safety?

    • @FlysurferKites
      @FlysurferKites  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Thomas, you can use a regular infinity bar for a FRONT LINE SAFETY (FLS), but not for the B-Safe system, therefor a 5th line bar with high-Y is necessary, best regards, team FLYSURFER

    • @t.s8897
      @t.s8897 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok yes one can buy a new bar! This is one answer! What are the alterantives? How many meters down from the midle of the B line should the high Y end? Adjust your infinity bar to b line safety!

    Received my new Flysurfer connect bar and Peak 4 5m².
    > The included manual is old and has no info about the B-Safe system, 5th line. As good as useless.
    > The online manual is better, but still not clear enough.
    > This video is the only helpful thing, but indeed confusing as he picks up the A & B lines. Should be only the A-line. Just follow the spoken/written instruction & ignore this couple of seconds of the video.
    >> My 5th line has no ring nor knot to attach the lines with a larks head...Is this a manufacturing error?
    I see two options:
    a. make a knot in the 5th line: Is this safe? As the strength of the line decreases by 50% at that point !
    b. loop the other lines trough the loop like you would do with an extension line. But then its too much work if you disconnect/reconnect the lines each session as you need to remove them from the B-line (and also not good for those tiny lines as you have to wind them on the bar).
    What option do you use? Or do a have a faulty bar?

    • @FlysurferKites
      @FlysurferKites  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ugge, we will soon be including a QR code to the kite to make it easier for people to mount the B-SAFE safety, but PEAK4 can also be used on 4-line bar, so that people have the option what they prefer.

    • @FlysurferKites
      @FlysurferKites  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your 5th line CONNECT bar should have a small knot on the end of the 5th line

    • @FlysurferKites
      @FlysurferKites  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can larkshead loop the B-SAFE lines (when mounted them properly in the kite) to the middle knot on the end of the 5th line in the middle.

      Lolo lifts up A & B section of the bridle, to show the user the different bridle section. As he walks to the kite, he only has the A section of the bridle in his hands, which he puts aside and then connects the B-SAFE toplines.
