  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle secrets revealed in Valentine Low interview | Palace Confidential. One of the Queen’s favourite aides told colleagues compared working with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to working with teenagers, according to Valentine Low, the author of 'Courtiers', a bombshell new royal book. Valentine Low, the author of Courtiers, has told a special episode of Palace Confidential about the ‘harsh’ treatment that Samantha Cohen received while working for the pair before they left the Royal Family. ‘When she started, Harry knew her well, and liked her and she liked Harry. Sam is an incredible problem solver, she’s a can-do personality and she just found it really difficult,’ he says. ‘She was asked to do things that a private secretary wouldn’t normally be asked to do and I think she was treated harshly. She was shouted at by Meghan… she was said to have said that dealing with them was like dealing with a couple of teenagers.’ Low also describes the ‘crushing’ phrase that Meghan Markle used to one of her team and he goes into detail into what he believes really happened during Meghan Markle Tiaragate saga during the Royal wedding.

Yep. In the first place, it was his father’s and the Queen’s idea, because he wasn’t DOING anything, just spending his days playing polo, hanging out with friends and tagging along with William and Catherine in order to stay in the public spotlight. Something as big as the Invictus Games would take two, maybe even three years, to plan. So, that means his father got a good number of staff allocated and they worked like the dickens to get it all coordinated. Must be nice to be a lazy do-nothing and have people come up with things that make you look good, to be in the spotlight, have all of the planning done for you, speeches written for you, and pretty much all you have to do is be briefed and show up. Then, take all of the credit and get all of the glory.

She thought with her royal connection she would be America's princess and could indefinitely trade off that but what has she got say, it's all phoney, she says she's a feminist but has used men in her life to climb the social ladder, says she's a humanitarian but has treated her elderly I'll father and friends like dirt and says she's an environmentalist but flies on private jets and lives in a house so big the energy use must be the equivalent of a village. The whole wedding was a farce! She was a middle aged, divorced woman. Why didn’t they have a civil service with a blessing like Charles and Camilla. No tiaras, no white dressings, no littles bridesmaids, just a simple service with close family. I really think the Royals made a huge mistake fawning over this D rated actress and giving in to her tantrums. There is absolutely no excuse for Harry’s behavior. He was raised in the institution and knows how to behave properly and he chose not to. The Monarchy was petrified of being called racist which in the end she did anyway and will continue to do so as long as they allow her to get away with it! She was given way to much importance, which she didn’t earn nor deserved. I wish Charles would take away their titles and exile them permanently. They are hazardous to anyone health who comes near them. They are toxic.

Harry did not come up with the Invictus game idea. He borrowed from our own US Wounded Warrior games. Do not give him credit for original concept. Also he did nothing to create- didn’t his staff do all the work? Harry doesn’t have an original thought at all. The fact that he was jealous of his young nephew is ridiculous. King Charles needs to make sure those mystery kids don’t get tithes! Otherwise that fool will continue to cause more problems here in the US! In the interim The Palace should maybe rehearse a statement that outlines exactly the fact that those 2 are not working members of the Royal family anymore and don’t deserve the special benefits of those real Royal family members who represent The King and the UK!

Rude behavior is not to be tolerated, but it seems these two were allowed to get away with blue murder by the Queen and Charles. And Meghan has not done any kindness to Harry. Regarding Harry worrying about his standing within the family dwindling, he was widely respected and loved by the British people. May I just say that this interview was a delight. It is not the first interview of Valentine Low that I have watched--but it is by far the best interview of Mr. Low! Jo Elvin is very skilled at asking a question--and then letting Mr. Low answer completely and fully. In other interviews, the interviewers seemed intent on interrupting with their own opinions, anecdotes or additional questions so the interviews become more about them and less about what Mr. Low actually had to say. Thank you Jo Elvin for being a total professional! It is very much appreciated.

He sure didn't LOOK unhappy before Meghan!! He was always palling around with William and Kate, having many laughs, attending many events and he generally looked like he had it together. He had the Invictus Games which gave him a sense of accomplishment in the post-military arena, he had his military positions and all seemed well. So if he was so unhappy, he certainly masked it well.

I've just gone back and watched Williams wedding and Zara's wedding from 12 years ago. One thing I noticed is that Harry was always the third wheel and often ignored during public events. He always tried to put on a cheerful demeanor but I suspect he wasn't as happy as he put on. Couple that with Chelsea breaking up with him and Cressida saying she didn't want the stress of being with him, I suspect he was rather lonely and scared for his future and particularly scared that he would end up alone. Which would explain why he clung so desperately to Megs when she wormed her way into his life.

HMTQ said that tiara 'would not be appropriate'. MM threw a 'tiara tantrum' and went running to HH to complain. HH was irate at the snub and told anyone who would listen 'What Meghan wants, Meghan gets'. Rather than giving in to Harry's request for MM to get her preferred tiara, HMTQ told him "She gets what tiara she’s given by me." MM wore the Queen Mary's bandeau tiara (valued at €2 million).

I actually don’t agree that Meghan did him a great kindness enabling him to leave the Royal life: Harry appeared fulfilled - with his Invictus Games, his Sentebele Charity work, and his environmental work, he seemed to do be doing not just good work, but seemed to be fulfilled. He had undertaken a very successful trip representing the Crown to the Caribbean, and in his engagement interview, he contravened something Meghan said about duties, and knowing what was expected. I think he left to ensure her wellbeing (in his perception) and to ensure their marriage survived, especially since they had a child. But I don’t see any evidence he planned to leave prior to his marriage. He got on well with William and Kate, and was known to be close to Charles, plus he had a clear loyalty to the armed services. So to leave his family and his country was not something I think he planned to do. And the look of constant unhappiness and misery on his face since he left confirms that - he used to be lighthearted, carefree, and fun - a very popular Royal. That has disappeared. Sadly.

Agree. I might add : if Harry was unhappy prior to meeting MM, it was possibly because he could not find a woman like Catherine to share his life with. I believe he intended to remain in the royal family (as stated in the Engagement interview) and work as a team with Meghan. However, from many accounts, Meghan had already plotted to gain a "Princess" title, then once she had a child, would return to the USA and use the title to open the doors formerly closed to her and the child to guarantee Harry's loyalty and protection from the RF. Harry of course was persuaded that the RF was the cause of his unhappiness and he needed to leave for his 'mental health' and to "protect" Meghan and his child from the same fate as his mother (paranoia). I don't believe Meghan did Harry a "kindness", she has wholeheartedly manipulated him and tried to do the same to the RF, the British people and to popular opinion in the USA.

It is common knowledge that Harry had a very good relationship with Catherine. Of course, unlike the bride his brother chose, Harry might prefer someone like himself with a bit of a history, who likes to smoke dope, is prone to fantasy and is also willing to give the middle-finger to his family but insiders also say, Harry wanted to marry and have his own children.Quote : "The other women he'd been involved with" (who) "didn't want to marry him because they didn't want to lead that kind of life", suggests Harry WAS looking for someone like Catherine to join him in a life of duty and service. Interesting that Meghan came along, chose him (as she prefers to see it) and didn't want to lead the kind of life his past girlfriends rejected, either..

Seems like the archetypes topics for meghans podcasts, are basically whatever issues she had with her very short time within the RF...?
( or whatever she perceived the issues were)
Treat the RF as a huge working enterprise, and the heads of different departments have to organise tours, schedules, meetings, personal diaries, other staff schedules, castles, private housing sudden events and rescheduling, etc etc...
so The Men in Grey Suits basically organise and keep up to date all moving parts that help the RF run...
Much like running a hospital, or huge media corp...so many moving parts over so many different departments...that they have to be coordinated to function in the correct manner...

Well even if the Palace wanted to iron things out early with Harry and Meghan, if their plan, Meghan's plan was never to stay long, to be half in, half out, I doubt if the Palace would have ever offered them something they'd be happy with. I mean Low mentions about courtiers drawing up early plans to make Meghan happy, but she said she'll just support her husband, but then she did not give up her publicist, and other people from her celebrity life. So I think that even if the Palace talked with the unhappy newlyweds from the very start, that talk would still not have become fruitful, especially for Harry and Meghan who already had plans to leave from the very start.

My largest wish is for him to be removed from her spell and one day finally come to his senses. Not only to see her for who she really is…but to have SOME chance at redemption. Sadly, I don’t think that will happen. He’s more trapped now with her than he ever was a working Royal. And now that one is his children is an actual American born citizen, he would lose his children if he tried to leave her. Which surely she holds over his head to keep him trapped. He was duped by a master manipulator and was the perfect prey for her. I feel like Mr. Lows explanation of the inner circle of men in gray suits and press people are not that different in any big business. I think the surprise shouldn't be like it is so different. It is large, multi layered just like in again, in business. As a professional in the court system in USA, this happens all the time, special egos of different people and how to handle with them; some with tempers; some that want perfection; people who want to move into to the inner circles; the climbers; the many really loyal and hard working people too.

What do you think about Valentine Low finding relevance in the person who commented that, although he did not agree with MM, she did Harry a favor by giving him a way out of the RF? I'm not sure MM did Harry any favors since he appears far more unhappy now that he is out of the RF than when he was part of it. What he really needed was someone to show him that the grass was greener in England than the US.

Harry had so many family members to look up to and emulate. Princes Anne, King Charles, the Glousters, Sophie & Edward, Zara, William, all who in their own right show their allegiance to the Queen and love for their mother, cousin, grandmother, etc. My favorite is the Duke of Kent who stood so silently regal with the Queen on so many occasions and respected the meaning of his duty so much that he would never have thought to brag about his role. It was his honor. Sorry to be so sentimental, but I'm still so sad at the Queen's passing and it's the DOK's birthday, and I wish him well. Xx

Meghan may have given Harry the greatest act of kindness by showing him an alternative life or a way out, however, the way in which they have both acted in achieving this, is the act of greatest betrayal and without integrity. There were a thousand alternatives that could’ve been played out, whereby all parties are left with everything in tact. Unfortunately, this alternative life has firmly laid the path of no return for this couple. The only way is down from now on.
