I am obligated to share this: The night before last I had such a wild dream where I met Joe Hawley at Sonic Lunch (it was in a cafe that was joint-built with a hotel/babysitting building and there were dozens of babies being rocked simultaneously by almost identical looking long-haired angry and tired fans. I didn't help take care of these babies and instead got to walk straight up to Joe Hawley (who was the only member there, actually and talk to him. There was a promised concert but I think in hindsight it was only a meet n greet type of casual event. Because of the controversies irl my dream brain made sure to not scare him off and behave myself like a good fan, so I went up to him, greeted him casually, then we got to talking. He was extremely chill and friendly, and soon I was lost in conversation, even though everyone else wanted to get their turn talking to him, they were too busy rocking the babies in the cradle room, so I just sat with him for hours. We talked about many things I do not remember. Then, there was a short break, I went into the cradle room where all the babies were sleeping soundly to take a break, then I remembered I didn't get his autograph yet so I went back. He gladly signed the random page of a random notebook I found lying in some bag somewhere. (Yay.) Then we got to chatting again, me usurping all of his attention and time and thus getting nasty glares from everyone else sitting inside the cafe. Hours pass and the show is over, it's night now. I see Joe Hawley quickly scribble 4-5 notes on square pieces of paper and fold them. He handed one out to me and a few other fans. We opened and read them. They were letters of appreciation, including a quick character analysis-- mine reads: Chatting night! I liked you Your eyes always search the distance, you're a dreamer. See you Then he's being ushered out the cafe door by Bora, who keeps insisting it's late and they need to leave asap, and I turn my back and am about to walk away-- but wait! I remember I didn't ask him an important question about a line in his song, Aristotle's Denial-- I run to the door, as he's about to take a step outside, I catch him by the sleeve. I'm panicked, desperate. When else will I ever be able to ask him? "Wait! What did you mean by stromboli puppetry have a cigar?" He stops, only briefly able to fight against Bora's grip. "Eloquence" Then he's gone. I am relieved, for now I finally know what it means, I am enlightened, smiling. I sigh. What a great evening it was. Then I fckn wake up and see that it was all a dream, and that I didn't actually make it to Sonic Lunch from halfway across the world 🤠 I got so upset about it that I cry-laughed from getting worked up the entire time I was telling my friend about this dream Tldr what the hell was this dream. Joe Hawley has my towers crumbling down and flowers gasping under rubble. Sorry this comment was so long, I just thought it was funny. Anyways I hope everyone there has a good time 👍 Also I only noticed hours after waking up that "eloquence" doesn't actually mean anything in the given context and my brain made up some random ass word and I wasn't enlightened and I was upset about that too
