There's a "C-clamp" that you're missing that just kinda fits into a hole on the machine that I'm looking at right now 😂 I love my pasta maker that looks the EXACT same. Also, try using your bread machine to mix your pasta dough... there's a setting for that 😉
For the pasta roller: You were missing the anchor piece, which is the additional hole near the base of the stand. These are essentially C-clamps that hold the roller to the table, that's why yours was moving so much. The fettuccine roller clogged up because you didn't dust the pasta in enough flour, so it stuck to the roller. To prevent the strands of pasta from sticking together, immediately roll them through flour before hanging to dry.
I own the same pasta maker! In fact, I just made noodles the other day! Even with the c-clamp installed it still can be a bit difficult. I'm sure there's other machines that are easier to use but I was given this one and this is what I have and it works for me!

Oh Tyler. So much I can teach you about making bread. You don't actually need sugar in a bread recipe, it helps a little with flavor but mostly it's for the yeast to eat and create the gases that make the bubble-looking holes in the slides of bread. And you don't slice hot bread because it won't cut very well.

For the pasta maker - I had one almost identical to that - there should have been a clamp in the box that fits into that hole on one side which allows you to attach it to your work surface. Some of the issues you were having were due to speed you were cutting - and the pasta needs to be fed directly down into the rollers/cutter heads otherwise they will clog like what you had. When you're doing your first passes, you can also fold the pasta in thirds to get it closer to a square - the final product will still have a curve at each end - you can trim those before cutting to keep the noodles uniform :)
The rotisserie machine used to come with an adjustable basket for chops, steaks, roast potatoes or other veggies and a set of kebab skewers that fit onto the rollers. It was sold by Ronco who called it the "set it and forget it" machine. I still have mine from the early 90s and its great! I've even done prime rib, pork ribs or roast and beef roasts in it, it's so versatile.
You'd save money in the long run with the yogurt maker, since a container of yogurt from the store costs 5-6 dollars a quart. Here in Missouri, a gallon of milk costs about 3-4 dollars and the little cup of yogurt used to culture the milk for the two batches only costs about 50 cents. With that yogurt maker, you can end up with four quarts of good yogurt for about the same price as One quart from the store.

some tips for pasta: use flower like a lubricant, on the dough and sprinkle some on the rollers in the machine too. set the machine at its widest setting and fold the dough in half and re-run a few times to make it more homogenous, then step it down find a way to clamp the machine to the desk, it should have come with a clamp. while you're cutting the noodles, keep your free hand (thanks to the clamp) under the machine, lets the noodles rest on your hand as you draw it away, then you lust lay the whole bunch on the rack...bing bang boom

When I use my bread maker I pull the paddle out once the machine is at the proofing stage that way you don't have it baked into the bread (raw toast) 👍🏻
Most bread makers come with a wire hook to pull out the paddle. It is supposed to bake in the loaf. But sometimes it will also stay in the machine. So there's a hook to fetch it.
I have been a bread maker since 2016, making fresh bread daily. During the pandemic when everyone else could not get bread, me and my neighbors had plenty. I kept that machine going round the clock pumping bread for the neighborhood. When my first one broke My next-door neighbors saw me toss the old one out and they each got me a new one so now I have 3.

Very interesting, thank you! I'm particularly interested in trying the yogurt maker. I've always wondered what home made yogurt would be like, and probably cheaper too!
It is only cheaper if you can find milk on sale. When my local store has too much milk, it sometimes gets marked down to 25 cents a gallon to move it. That's when it is cheaper to buy that and make your own yogurt.

A bead maker usually ships with a metal hook that you can thread through the center of the dough hook and you can pull the dough hook out the bread. you will not burn your fingers.😉 A common mistake with making bread in a bread machine is that people seem to just throw all the ingredients together and hope it will work... But if you use yeast and salt in your dough. Separate the salt and the yeast when adding them. The salt will kill the yeast. So in a bread machine put one (like salt) on the bottom and the other (yeast) on top. So the dough can already mix a bit before the 2 combine. This is especially helpful when you use the time-out function to automatically make bread at a set time.

Your pasta dough was too moist. Next time shoot for drier and use more flour when running through the pasta machine. 😊 Oh, and attach the machine to the bench and as the pasta comes out of the machine, use your other hand to catch it to keep it from tangling together.
I used to make pasta using a similar machine you showed, and while it made delicious pasta, it was tedious and inconsistent at times. We bought a Phillips automatic pasta maker and never went back. Similar to the bread maker, add ingredients, push a button, and 15 min later you have a plate full of pasta with no work at all. I'd recommend buying one of those and testing it.

I just hope we get a "raw toast" reference.....
It was in there.
0:52 “something about rotisserie chicken you can catch a salmon I don’t want salmon I want a chicken” 😭😭
Tyler reading directions before GTA6
Can't wait til it comes out, not because I want to play it but because I'm sick of hearing 'blank before gta6' crap.
Agreed, I'm late to the party using it @@scottneil1187
Love this video! Maybe one of my all time favorites!
Who taught Tyler how to hold a fork? 😂
I'm not sure what I expected, but like... I'm shocked that all 5 things Tyler not only read directions, but (mostly) was successful at them other than the pasta but even then he got spaghetti out of it. Also that rotisserie machine was my childhood we had SO MANY chickens from that thing.
Tyler should have his own cooking show...wouldn't that be SCARY!
It would be interesting to see him grow as a cook if he followed recipes
Ty your channel is really taking off. I’m proud of you
39:10 You kneaded the pasta dough 2 seconds too long.
I enjoyed this video, it shows your effort to go all out to do a legit review. A damp kitchen towel under the Gadgets will make them move around less
Your pasta dough was too moist. Next time shoot for drier and use more flour when running through the pasta machine. 😊
Oh, and attach the machine to the bench and as the pasta comes out of the machine, use your other hand to catch it to keep it from tangling together.
Yeah he also needs to roll it out (by hand) a bit first or he will bend the gears in no time.
He also ate homemade pasta with probably ragu Jarred sauce it's going to taste like crap no matter what
it'd be good advice if the one he bought had a mechanism to actually attach to anything lol.
Reading the directions was refreshing... Don't make a habit of it 🤣
There's no way he put the cooked chicken on the cutting board that had the raw chicken on it lmao.
It’s a different cutting board
@@evilmushroom6050 ok good
Holy crap, Tyler reads directions/watches videos, and amazingly they all work.
Cheaper to buy a cooked rotisserie chicken at Sam's Club than it is to buy and cook your own.
Not really but ok 😂
I used to make pasta using a similar machine you showed, and while it made delicious pasta, it was tedious and inconsistent at times. We bought a Phillips automatic pasta maker and never went back. Similar to the bread maker, add ingredients, push a button, and 15 min later you have a plate full of pasta with no work at all. I'd recommend buying one of those and testing it.
Great way to spread salmonella on your workbench. 😂
Thanks Tyler! I needed a laugh today. No salmon for me either!
Review cheap knives from bass pro shops
the inner bits you threw out of the chicken were the gizzards (usually eaten fried if you're into that) and the neck (good for making stock/broth) :)
