@Olivia Lam Caramel is not the same as dulce de leche. I had dulce de leche icecream before, so i know what i'm talking about.
Actually, dulce de leche isn't just an ice cream flavoring, it's a confection from latin America, (the name literally translates to "sweet of milk") made by slowly heating sweetened condensed milk for a few hours, until all of its sugars melt giving it a caramel-like color and consistency, and it's used for all kinds of desserts not just ice cream ;).
"Who knew sugar and air can state so sweet" really? It's sugar what do you expect it to taste like?

The PSU Creamery has the best ice cream in the world. It's the only place I've ever been where my favorite flavors weren't some variety of chocolate. Apple Cobbler Crunch and Carrot Cake were AMAZING, but I was on campus back in the late 80s, so I don't even know if they have those flavors anymore. I hope so ...

You can make your own dipping dot add mellted ice cream to a bag and cut a hole on the bag and squized out the bag on liquid notrogen
