    Trap Kitchen, I find absolutely phenomenal. Compton is a flat out scary fucking place, even for those who were born and raised there, the threats and odds against you are real. Its hard to get away from it and yet that amazing guy went to school and came back to do something good and named it Trap Kitchen. Alot of people hear trap and only think "ghetto". Trap for these guys is Take Risks and Prosper, hell yes! A majorly fascinating aspect is that they handle their business and work it like a dealer would work their trade. Taking the way of the streets and using and incorporating it into their business with good intentions. So much so, that members from rival gangs, came together! That is straight up unheard of. And these guys overcame one of the biggest set backs they could possibly face and joined together, over food :) Its so perfectly balanced and is so amazing to think about. And their food looks awesome! They took a situation that was not in the best shape and was pulled away from the light at the end of the tunnel and completely flipped it on its head. Massive props to all of you awesome cats ✊
    All the stories on here were awesome and made my day :), I just had to point out the fascinating aspects of the Trap Kitchen. take care everyone 👋

    I don't get nostalgia from "grandmas cooking" because one of my grandmothers had Alzheimer's and the other couldn't cook. The latter did help me with school projects because she was a teacher all her life so that makes up for it.

    • @JaesadaSrisuk
      @JaesadaSrisuk 7 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      bob Fisher It all depends. My grandmother on my Father's side owned and operated a contracting business with fifty employees from about 1950 to 1971 and still had time to have 11 kids. My grandmother on my Mother's side owned a small hotel, and later invested in a metals business - all while having five kids. Neither of my grandmothers cooked, as they didn't have the time. So even women who were born at the turn of the century sometimes needed to be career-focused and never learned to cook.

    • @amararanchan2
      @amararanchan2 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I only knew one of my grandmothers and she couldn't cook either. It was a self esteem problem for her. She was told all her life that she couldn't do a lot of things. So when I came into her life and became old enough to be aware of the problem it was too late. The message she couldn't was just engraved too strongly into her. She was one of the only family members who ever cared about me though.

      @mh20162 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Toriel I've only met my grandma 3 times and she never cooked for me as she was ill and too old so same I never get hat nostalgia or can never relate to the grandma and her food stuff

    • @BaileyL018
      @BaileyL018 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Toriel Same. My whole family isn't big on cooking but besides cooking I've never understood the whole grandparent nostalgia. My first grandpa died before I was born and my grandmother hated all but all of one of my sister's because she was a half sister. The other side of my family were country folk, with my gm being my bestfriend for all of six years before she had a heart attack on my bed. My grandpa went through several marriages and all of my temporary grandma's died within a few years before my grandpa developed severe althemizer's and essentially forgot how to function. So yeah always fun when someone talks about their grandparents...

    • @dinolandra
      @dinolandra 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

However I did learn how to make a bowl of Vienna sausages and rice, and a grilled cheese sandwich from her.
