Sir i have one doubt regarding SMPS
230v AC input
5v 40A DC output
The power ic UC3842 is damaged..
I changed new one. Now its working good sir.. Output DC also good sir..
My doubt in power ic VCC..
Without DC load VCC supply is 20v
When i connect DC Load means the VCC suppy is 23 to 25v range..
Vcc Connection to primary bridge rectifier postive side via 220k 1/4 watts resistor..
And in ferrite transformer o/p 10 ohms 1/4 watts resistor and 1 diode.. to power ic VCC
Capacitor in vcc 35v 100uf..
The vcc voltage should be constant or its may vary as per load..
If i switch on it and off means.. In off period smps make some noise and same time led blink and off..
Please guide me sir.. 😊

it will much more difficult to use it.
using a controlled rectified instead of bridge rectifier will help to modify and will provide regulated dc voltage on dc rail
