Idk what is wrong with running? I used to weightlift but when i start running 3-4 mile everyday it really helped me to keep up with the pace in the gym
@@umarhossain2701everything is wrong with running lmao bike or walk for cardio walking actually burns more than running and it helps recover rather than hurt recovery like running does
Yo, Collegiate Track & Field distance Runner here. Just want to say that I am very impressed with how far you guys came in just 30 days. If you guys keep running, I just wanted to give you some big tips that people often neglect from their running routine. The best thing to do to help your running is to make sure you stretch your legs after every single run. Stretching is essential for recovery and drastically decreases the chance of cramping up like most of you guys experienced doing this challenge. Second big thing to do is to make sure you warm up before doing efforts such as these. If this was just your typical everyday mile, this wouldn’t be an issue, but since you’re going for time, you definitely need to warm your legs up. A simple 5 minute jog or dynamic stretching will do the trick. Again, this will reduce the risk of muscle cramps, and it will definitely help you feel a lot smoother when running at fast paces. Excellent job on the video and the progress you all made.
As a runner I just want to say it helps to change distances and have easy days and hard days. Also 30 days isn’t enough to improve a ton with how fit you all are.
ur so right. as a distance runner, running 1 mile everyday all out just takes away your strength and puts unnecessary strain on your muscles and joints. it also doesnt build your aerobic strength and results in unbalanced training, increased risk of injury, and non optimal results. please do your research before you start running
@@Bruh168 people always talk about injuries right........but I've never heard about a runner being injured from simply running a normal amount..........I'm not talking about a marathon or anything major like that......dunno I find it funny when I hear running and injuries in the same sentence
I actually did this challenge before for 6 months. Went from 18 minutes of mostly walking to 12 minutes all running. Few year later joined track and cross country and I was able to run a 9 minute mile. I was super happy with that. This video really makes me want to get back into this!!
I’m 42, never ran faster than a nine minute mile in high school and now I can do a 7 1/2 minute mile. Just started running this year. Still trying to improve so far My record is 7:35 min mile.
Since you have experience with track i have a question… I’m a freshman in highschool and i want to join track but i’m not very athletic/good at running. Should i join? For reference the best mile i can run is 10 min and i feel like i’m dying.
I feel like a lot of people misunderstand running and how much fun it is to see yourself improve. It's a hard sport to compete in but it's so beneficial.
Stan you are literally one the most elite content creator on this platform. I mean you shoot 3-4 projects together and like your editing is so on point. I just can't explain how much I love watching you man ❤️❤️
@@pyragelis6868 but as stan said in his previous vdos.... Motivation is a myth. Discipline is the key so stan gives us that discipline to stay in shape
I sprint 2 miles every 2 days when I don't train,it's verry cool,I enjoy the pain and it makes me handle pain a lot better during the workouts as well, because I am getting used to it,so even when I do the most painfull isometric exercises,I can still handle them quite easily
You can't sprint for more than 90 seconds Sprinting is full-speed full-strength running You probably start sprinting and then go into a run, I often do that.
For someone that has been running for a long time me hearing that you guys ran 5:20's and 4:50's without any experience is just unbelievable, I don't think you guys did a full mile exactly but if you did then that's insane.
I to can't understand how someone without any experience in running can run 5:00 min/mile. Only the start of his run looked fast to me, but I don't want to be to negative here. He is very fit and young and his legs are strong from other types of training. We are also very differently talented. I can (probably) run 6:30 min/mile, running 30km per week and I'm 43, but thats nothing compared to 5min/mile :)
Yes with his form it was very difficult to believe that he ran sub 5 without ANY experience. I have been running for a long time and can just barely run sub 5
I think it may have something to do with how unused they are to measuring distance in a mile? But I agree no way they just ran a mile that fast with little to no experience.
@@XxWaffleMan154xXGood theory! It is also annoying how much they criticize running and they only run 1 mile a day lol ofc there not going to get much results
Idk… that’s pretty crazy to me. I have four hunches: 1. They are actually measuring in km and they are actually running 8 minute mile pace 2. Im from Texas and the humidity and heat reach 110 easily everyday, so maybe the weather is exceptional and you simple run easier. 3. They are just extremely fit. 4. The ground in the Netherlands is bouncy.
Hey Browney, I read somewhere you have had a shoulder injury at some point. As someone who has recently undergone a shoulder labrum repair surgery: I know you covered Arjens posterior dislocation and I'm curious about yours. Would you consider doing a series on past injuries and how you've recovered from them?
Good luck recovering! I still havent recovered from mine unfortunately. Make sure you stay on top of physio and rest before you do physio. Did they put you in a sling for 4-5 weeks?
@@soringruia2742 Hey there! Please excuse any typos as im typing with 1 hand :') I need to stay in a sling 24/7 for 6 weeks before I start easing my way out of it. They told me to take my time with recovery and to do the passive stretches they gave me 3x a day at a minimum. 8 weeks post-op I'll have a checkup with both my surgeon and a physical therapist so we can decide on a recovery protocol. I was told they used 4 anchors for my bankart repair and didn't see the need for a remplissage, but that the soft tissue was very lax (muscles/ligaments), which could increase the required recovery time. It has been almost 3 weeks now and after a hellish first 10 days, now I'm only struggling with sleep and the occasional bout of discomfort/pain; it seems like I'm recovering somewhat well. Cant wait to hit the gym again, but I think that might have to wait for a while longer. How long ago was your procedure? What has recovery been like?
@@MaybeThanh Im glad to hear your recovery is going well. I had a partially torn ligament and a torn labrum (think stage 3 or 4, meaning it was almost off the socket I think). They did an arthroscopic surgery, made 3 small incisions and fit a camera in. They put the labrum back, dont know exactly how they did it but Im told no metals inside. I was in a sling for 5 weeks. Indeed, it is absolute hell. I followed the protocol to a t, met w the surgeon and went for physio after they took the stitches out. I felt a little better after my first physio attempt, but pain and discomfort came back relatively soonish. I was never able to lift much in terms of weight, because of how unstable my joint area is (the whole assemblage around my rotator cuff and clavicle). So I fell back on using elastic bands. You will mostly do elastic bands for few months before u can progress any further. Please dont rush getting back to the gym, as there is the risk of reinjuring yourself. Anyway, I sometimes felt pain, sudden, sharp, and sometimes debilitating pain in my shoulder that would occur randomly, or after exercise. So I ended up going to 3 more physio sessions (here I mean doing physio for 1-2 months at a time). My surgeon kept telling me bullshit, I never recovered as he expected. I guess he just preaches the generic "u will get better and be back to normal after 9-12 months" but that never happened to me. I even did an arthroscopic MRI (they added dye to my shoulder area, to colour the joints and see any tears) but it came out negatively, as in there wasnt any new tear and the surgery held up. I do have scar tissue buildup on my shoulder esp where the surgery was done so I guess that pain may be present for the rest of your life. I am not sure. I got injured in Dec 2017 while doing clean and jerks (stay away from that shit). I got my surgery in Feb 2019 and been on a quest to recover it since then. At times its better, but the fucking pain always comes back (the debilitating one I mean). Which is why I did so much physio. But rn I realized that wont help me so I had to take my recovery in my own hands. I recently got another MRI and seems I had arthritis??? in my shoulder. So Im assuming is partly from the scar tissue. I used to play a lot of tennis, table tennis and soccer, so u know this has taken a toll on my mental health. I can walk you through what I did at physio if u wanna know, as this msg is already getting very long LOL
@@soringruia2742 Hey look, you're sharing your experience and I appreciate it a lot. I've had 30+ dislocations since I was 16 (I'm 33 now), so I'm not unfamiliar with the mental strain it puts us in. In your case specifically, you've been on a quest to recover for YEARS already so I understand any pain or discomfort may send you spiralling with negative thoughts. The only thing we can do is our best with the most competent professionals we can find. Sounds to me like you might have lost some faith in your healthcare professionals. Are they shoulder specialists?
They're awesome for sure. And you're a good runner. But they aren't better runners than you. I think their measurement of the lap went wrong, because non-experienced runners don't run a mile under 5 minutes.
just wanted to say, as a runner 30 days is not enough to see huge differences if you’re already pretty fit. professional runners can run and only improve by a second because they’re already so good. so good job guys!
@@DUG.16 the caloric deficit is all you need to lose weight. But pairing it with exercise will make you look better because of how it shapes your body, and it'll also help u burn more calories
@@DUG.16 as a runner who has been running for about 8 years i would say if you were to run 2-3 miles to start and then up it to like 4-5 miles and you did it consistently you could burn a good amount of fat.
I ran all 4 years of high school and currently run cross country and track in college, we race 5 miles in college for men which is really tough. I don’t think people realize how insane a 4:53 mile is, it’s so impressive that I’m actually having a hard time believing he did it especially as someone who primarily resistance trains and hasn’t had much experience running…if he did then amazing accomplishment and all the power to him. But I seriously doubt it until I see it uncut on a track.
Yeah I'll say it for you. Unless that guy has the most insane cardio genetics of anyone I've ever seen by a couple of standard deviations there's not way he ran a 4:53. I also ran in High school and currently am a rower in college, so I've met a lot of cardio monsters. If that's his legit time baseline he's an Olympian no doubt lol
Yes, it's absolute bogus. What's labeled "the perfect mile" comes up at least 100 m short when measuring it online, and that is assuming no corners are being cut.
Yeah I don't think so either. I completed in 1600m in high school (record of 4:34 at end of 4 years) and sub 5:00 times are nothing to scoff at for trained runners weighing 130-140 lbs. For someone with excess (by running standards) muscles, this becomes even harder. Unless they're running regularly and training specifically to be good at both lifting and running, seems very unlikely
I’ve tried bodybuilding in the past and at the beginning of this year I chose to start calisthenics. I was 218 pounds at the beginning of the year and currently around 175. Calisthenics is an entirely different world, and I absolutely love it. I love y’all’s content and always look forward to uploads. And yes, I smashed liek. Only 2 minutes into this video but imma be trying this challenge just cause why not 👍
This actually does work. I did this challenge a few years back over the course of a few months and went from a 9 minute mile down to a 7 minute. 4 laps, that's it bois. You do it as fast as you can and every day and i promise you'll get faster. It's ok to go slower some days because growth isn't a straight path, sometimes your muscles or stamina or the sleep you get isn't as good but you will definitely improve if you put in the work consistently.
This is the first time I was motivated this much to work out, and it helps knowing that I am not the only one who is very insecure about their body. Its time to start my journey. Thank you a lot ❤
Those mile time changes were insane for just 30 days. I am a High School Cross Country runner and I think it would be really cool to see you guys do the same thing but with a 5K distance. I personally think distance running is a whole different thing it adds a whole other layer of mental toughness. Also I love your videos they encourage me so much to keep fit and are always giving me more ideas to get better physically.
@Jerko it depends how many calories you burn, but running will definitely help you burn more calories. Good luck with the weight loss, just remember to take sone rest days every now snd then
@Jerko I would recomened running every other day. And just go for a walk on your rest days. This to prevent injuries. If you're not experienced in running it could lead to knee pain or other things if you suddenly start doing it every day. You got this!
@Jerko switch it up and do intervals of speed some days, do specific distances, do calve raises, stretch, and you’ll see massive improvement. I lost like 10 pounds and became a great runner this way.
I am a cross country runner and I’m very impressed in you improvement. I would suggest to keep running because if you keep with it you will see even more improvement. I ran about 4-6 miles every day for 4 months threw out the season and you will see massive improvement. I would also like to say for anyone trying to get into track or cross country or just run please do a proper warmup before and a proper stretch after. This changes your life if you run far distances. Before I did not do any of those and i was always hurting or sore after a run. After I started stretching it realy changes the way you can run. Another thing is never give up because you can accomplish whatever you truly set your mind and body too. I want from a middle runner in my team to finishing top 15 out of hundreds in just one season. Keep it up and great video!
As much as I enjoy the part of body transformation I just hope your brother is not going to develop eating disorder. It would be nice to mention a mental transformation as well in these videos. I struggle with ED and the way people commenting on the weight is not cool, I felt bad for your brother. Wish you all the best guys, love the content you make
I know this is kind of off topic but remember when you woke up at 5 am everyday for 30 days? I just started using a sunrise alarm clock and it is amazing. The science behind it is you basically need natural sunlight for you body to get out of the melatonin stage when you are sleeping and the sunlight turns that off so you feel well rested when you get up, it would be a good video to try it everyday for 30 days.
*Why every single video Browney makes - becomes my favorite?* Bro you have such a nice vibe! Thank u for this amazing motivation u gave me that actually make me to create my own workout channel

I did this challenge several years ago when I was 12, except 1 mile everyday for 365 days and now I'm a varsity highschool cross country and track athlete. It was a crazy experience and my time went from a 8:40 mile down to a 5:27 at 13 years old. This video was awesome guys keep it up
hey same here i did that last year and again this year but the requirement is minimum one mile and im also in xc and track we have some things in common lol.
Nice video but I don’t believe 3 untrained/casual runners can run miles that fast. A 4:53 mile is ridiculously fast. For context it took 2000 years to break the 4 minute mile by roger bannister in the 50s lol
I think they run in kilometers and mistakenly said it was a mile. Then those times could make sense judging by how they ran, what was the cadence and such.
@@RoInArN there is absolutely no chance anyone is gonna make that mistake so often. Thats like someone switching from celsius to Fahrenheit accidentally
I ran track and cross country for years. My fastest mile ever was on an indoor track and I felt amazing that day. I ran a 4:49, I agree, there is no way.
Yo Browney ive been watching your videos for 3 years and i just Got my first delivery from mp you are the reason i started working out and now im in very Good shape
lost 100lbs in a year because of walking/running and managed to become a lot stronger as well. Deadlift went from 100kg to 180kg, bench from 65kg to 105kg so i'd say thats a huge improvement. Cardio doesnt kill gains ;)
I like how this challenge had realistic expectations, results, and attitudes. Not everyone WANTS to get out and run but building that cardio is important. Good vid guys
As much as I like this channel, these times are quite unlikely; given the apparent lack of training, muscle mass ,and previously ran "US Army Fitness Test" results - perhaps the distance was measured incorrectly? If I am wrong however, take this as a compliment, to the athleticism you guys possess, (perhaps you should consider running competitively?).
Measuring the area myself, it came up about 110 m short (and that is assuming 90 degree turns (no corners cut)). This means you need to add at least 20-30 seconds to their times, which definitely makes it more realistic. However, I must say judging from their cadence and running form, those times still seem unlikely.
@@MrRainandThunderrelaxingsounds Yeah, defo seems potentially more than 20-30 seconds; especially, given their 1.5 mile times in this video: th-cam.com/video/1JwfwbD1uRM/w-d-xo.html (Arjen had 6:20 min/mile pace) (Browney had 7:18 min/mile pace)
Mia Gommers, a female Dutch athlete ran back in the days a mile in 4:37, that would mean that Arjen is almost as fast without training as a former olympic athlete. With all due respect, I can't believe these results given their muscular mass and given the fact that they never run. Besides, I'm also a runner and 12 mph is just incredibly fast. If Arjen would have run his mile in 5:30, that would be more realistic and also a pretty decent result.
There's 15yo boys at my local athletics club that can run a sub 5 mile. A sub 5 mile (while very good for someone who doesn't run often) is not that unrealistic, especially cuz he's in great shape. It's not like he never does any cardio either from what I've seen in other videos so far
@@thijsbeentjes4008 no. it's very unrealistic. if you don't train running specifically, a sub 5 minute mile is pretty much impossible. I run daily and have a 19min 5k, and I can't run a sub 5 min mile.
@@hwtube3431 indeed, that means you're a very good runner, that's above average. There are indeed boys from 15 years old who do it less then 5 minutes @thijsbeentjes4008, but these boys are not the same. They don't have the mass like Arjen has (muscular mass, you all have to take it with you whilst running). Next time, you see these kids from the athletics club, you should notice that they're totally different built. Besides, they train a lot to get that result, to run as fast, it's not all about talent and stuff. You have to work hard and train for that. You don't just run these results. Another argument, which is maybe a bit weird, but it's worth noticing, is that they don't have a good running style. If you see top athletes like Kipchoge running at that pace they are almost literally flying. In this vid that's not the case...
@@hwtube3431 I used to run once a week and I ran 19:30 5k back then. I know someone who never specifically trains running, but does a lot sports and he ran a 19min 5k when he tried it once. I think you're severely underestimating the amount that doing different sports helps with running. And arjen trains way more in general than I did back when I ran a 19:30 5k and also trains a lot more than the guy I know that can run a 19min 5k. Makes a lot of sense that he'd be quicker.
@@rutgerdeslyper5742 Arjen weighs 73kg. That's not a lot. He is muscular, but also pretty lean. Also, the boys at my club do train a lot not, but they've only been training a lot for under a year I think. They're nowhere near national top or anything. There's 14yo boys that run a 4min 1500 (so like
Hey @browney, just wanted to let you know that when you compared the 1st and 30th day measurements, you used "day 90" in the table instead of day 30. Other than that great video as always!
For one mile? Not rly. If they had better form while running then they would not be having as much problems next Day and with their skin tearing. Also it is rly small distance. For running it is better ro do it like 2/3 Times a weak 2-5 Miles each. And i Don t know how they expected to burn muscles as for that to happen you need to not have enough normal fat and enough time for body to use it(time without eating)
@@greedier-7661 I see where you are coming from. But my comment was directed at when they had to run late at night when they wanted to do it least. That requires a decent amount of mental discipline
@@thegeckogang7277 well sure but it is hard for me to belive that they did not have 30 minute free in those days as it is enough to change, Run, comeback, and change back. 40 minutes if you want to add shower.
You should try to incorporate a varied running challenge (Long distance day, tempo day, easy days, sprint day, etc) and test your 100m or 200m time and 1600m time ON A TRACK. It'd be a lot more realistic and be more useful for your audience
Cool story that's kind of on topic! I didnt do it for 30 days straight, but for two months I ran a mile roughly 3-4 days a week and improved by an entire minute. Side note, I never worked out before that venture and was extremely proud of what I had accomplished. I highly suggest trying this for yourself if you have the time and ability. Even if your beginning scores are awful, with time and effort you will improve
No way you guys ran a sub 5 min mile without any training. The distance measurement is way off. If you actually ran 4:53/mile, your 5k equivalent time would be around 16:40, lets see you do a parkrun. I'm not salty but its super unrealistic unless you have elite running genes.
while i agree their times are a little suspect, for them a 4:53 mile would not correlate to a 16:40 5k at all. It's clear that they are aerobically "undertrained" compared to people who consider themselves "runners". Those running calculators assume a strong aerobic base and can be very inaccurate. For example, I can run a 2 mile at a 6:30 pace (13:00) and even though that should be a 10 mile pace of 7:17, when I raced a 10 mile for real I got an average pace of 7:54.
These times are really sus... Being a runner too you should know how hard a 5 minute mile is and for someone heavier with no specific running training seems near impossible to achieve
@@OnMe4890 And it didn't look like they were running that fast. I go about as fast (judging from only my eyes) as Browney when i run a mile and I get around 7 - 7:15. There's no way in hell that was 5 minutes, it would maybe be a 6 minute mile if they're tall.

If you were wondering, I run 3k Cross Country, and my time is 12:06. If you are looking for more running help, I would suggest looking at the websites- Runners World, and Fleet feet.
This just proves what I've always been preaching. Running does not make you small and weak, but if you do squats and run you will overwork your legs because you are already doing squats if you are running. Hundreds of them.
Software engg here, so I spend most of my day sitting at a desk. Last year I started my fitness transformation. Ran 3km every single day in the morning. One of the best things I've done in my life. I did my own challenge a couple of years ago. 1 mile on day1, 2 miles on day 2, 3 miles on day 3 etc. All done as single efforts. Got as far as day 25, but couldn't face the marathon on day 26. Maybe I'll do it again this year and create a youtube channel for it! 🙂
@@Dunk1It1Hard Some basic googling of companies in the background and then checking the aerial shot that was shown at 3:50. Then measure distance with the measure distance tool. Important to note is that you should round the corners like they ran them (13:30). But yeah it also explains why they struggled to interpret the times they ran over a month. The first and last days for Arjen are the only ones close to 5:00, with the vast majority of them being above 6:00.
@@willemrood yeah those times just weren’t adding up. Well thanks for confirming my suspicions. Most people just don’t walk outside and run a 5 minute mile. And not knocking the heavier guy. Not the best way to get faster in the mile, but still works. A good training program would be able to drop much more time. I have averaged 10+ miles per day for the past few month, so I understand the hunger and tiredness. I really recommend that you guys work on your form too though because fixing it could save you a lot of time, you need to run more streamline, relaxed, and less like a box.

I would love to do the 90 day challenge. I used to be a star athlete. I was traveling all over to play ice hockey and had been playing with the 19 year old women’s team since I was 12. On top of that, I was a varsity wrestler and varsity softball all 4 years of high school. I was looking and feeling great. I had abs and was totally shredded. Then I blew out my knee at a wrestling practice and lost my ice hockey college scholarships. After I graduated high school I decided to finally fix all my issues. I had a shoulder surgery because I dislocated and tore my labrum playing softball my junior year. 4 months later I had my first hip surgery because I have torn labrums, dysplasia, CAM impingement, and gluteal tendinosis in both hips. 2 months later I had to have shoulder surgery again because I got too tight from the first one. I gained 50 pounds after the first surgery and lost 20 after the third. I just wanna see my abs again. I know I am strong but I want to get back to feeling and looking like an atthlete. Please blow this comment up!
Browney, First off I want to say I admire your perseverance and dedication to what you do, and you do it well. However, I'm having a very difficult time believing you on this one. You and your team are amazing, if I haven't said it before, and your hard work is truly impressive. I don't think it is realistic for you to say you beat high school varsity track runners. My best time for the mile in high school was 5:10 on a flat, high tech track surface. Albeit I was a cross country runner and didn't specifically train for the mile, breaking 5:30 was extremely difficult and took a significant amount of training. Do you realize how fast a sub 5:00 mile is? A 7:00 minute mile is approximately 8.6 mph. Likewise, a 5:30 mile is roughly 10.9 mph. Finally, a sub 5:00 mile is in excess of 12 mph. It is nearly impossible for your entire team to be that fast without training. According to this website (runninglevel.com/running-times/1-mile-times ), you at your current age would be "advanced", and Arjen would be "elite". Come on man. Maybe I'm a dick for doubting you, but I sincerely wish you the best and wish that you maintain 100% honesty with your viewers. I think it would be highly constructive and mature of you to release either the unedited version, redo the miles with constant filming, or issue an apology video. I would like to reiterate that I am a huge fan, but I'm gonna have to doubt you on this one.
Hard agree. Anyone who knows just a bit about running can see the ridiculousness in this video. If you're an absolute beginner, "running a mile a day" with no regards to tempo can be a fine challenge, but if you're running miles in the 5:00-territory, absolutely no way a mile a day will do any difference, let alone over just a 30-day period. Just from watching those small clips of running (especially Arjen), it's quite obvious these times aren't correct. The only way this is accurate is if they were deliberately holding back during the first tests. This progress makes sense for absolute beginners (which they are, according to themselves), but not for people already running a mile well under 6 minutes. However, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and they might just be oblivious to how much cutting corners means and their measurements being way off.
I am also a Cross Country runner lol, I ran a mile in 5:10 as an 8th grader, although that was with 3 years of hard work. I totally agree with this comment because there is no way that a first ever mile was 4:58💀
Well, I think you are underestimating Arjen's athletism and discipline. The measurements might be a little off, but I still think he would be able to run a 5:05 ish mile on a track.
As a weightlifter, which would be more effective? The same exercise day after day or to vary the workout? Consult a running coach. I bet intervals would be an effective strategy.

It's just a big part mental. You didn't go from 12:30 to 6:50 in muscle growth, you went that progress in mentally pushing yourself and a bit of muscle gain. It's like doing a backflip, mentally hard at first but easy once you do it. Good job

Also 30 days isn’t enough to improve a ton with how fit you all are.

ur so right. as a distance runner, running 1 mile everyday all out just takes away your strength and puts unnecessary strain on your muscles and joints. it also doesnt build your aerobic strength and results in unbalanced training, increased risk of injury, and non optimal results. please do your research before you start running

yes and better is achievable
I’m 42, never ran faster than a nine minute mile in high school and now I can do a 7 1/2 minute mile. Just started running this year. Still trying to improve so far My record is 7:35 min mile.
Since you have experience with track i have a question… I’m a freshman in highschool and i want to join track but i’m not very athletic/good at running. Should i join? For reference the best mile i can run is 10 min and i feel like i’m dying.

Please excuse any typos as im typing with 1 hand :')
I need to stay in a sling 24/7 for 6 weeks before I start easing my way out of it.

Next time, you see these kids from the athletics club, you should notice that they're totally different built. Besides, they train a lot to get that result, to run as fast, it's not all about talent and stuff. You have to work hard and train for that. You don't just run these results. You should try to incorporate a varied running challenge (Long distance day, tempo day, easy days, sprint day, etc) and test your 100m or 200m time and 1600m time ON A TRACK. It'd be a lot more realistic and be more useful for your audience
3:43 sec is world record for 1 mile. Your 5min time is really impressive, if that was real. :)
he probably ran somewhat competitively in the past. if not, that's really impressive
Beautiful! I love the way you men interact with each other. Thanks for sharing.
As a runner myself, I would say you definitely improved a lot for just only 30 days
After not working out for half a year, this video really motivated me to start again!!!
Your vids are really inspiring. Keep it up!
As a track and cross country runner since 6th grade I’m really impressed by this. I would recommend new running shoes for all of you.
Damn 5:27 mile for ur first in a while is crazy and 4:58 is insane. Coming from a hs runner myself.
These times are really sus... Being a runner too you should know how hard a 5 minute mile is and for someone heavier with no specific running training seems near impossible to achieve
Yeah I was pushing all of outdoor track last year to get a sub 5 but maybe the blue shirt gives a speed boost or something

hello, I am a middle school distance runner. I just want to call out that you guys have some pretty insane times for people who don't run often. If you were wondering, I run 3k Cross Country, and my time is 12:06. If you are looking for more running help, I would suggest looking at the websites- Runners World, and Fleet feet.
That's a great 3k time! My best in middle school was 11:02, now I'm in highschool. Good luck tho!!
@@ezekielgornik4941 that is also a great time. I am looking forward to trying to break 11 in my 8th grade year
Thank you for making always entertaining videos, they motivate me to move and live healthier! Bless you 💗
This just proves what I've always been preaching.
Paired that with lifting 3-4 times a week with a diet with plenty of protein, I managed to get from 80kg at 25% bf to 76kg at 15% bf in around 10 months. 10 pound gain in muscle despite running every day

They ran a mile. He specified running a 800m lap twice (at some point in the video)
@@rhikchoudhuri8661 the lap is actually only 720m, so they cut it about 10% short.
@@willemrood how do you know this for a fact? I was suspicious myself.
But his time felt really padded. The whole thing didn’t seem legit.
But that being said, they are in good shape and motivational for others to get out and exercise. So I don’t want to detract from them being a positive influence and force for the exercise world. But falsifying them run times had me measuring myself up against falsified data.
Yeah cutting a mile time short by 160m is kinda a big deal.
So I went out and checked how long it takes for me to run a mile. It took me 8:20 minutes, i'm gonna try this challenge and see if i can improve
Good luck dude
4:58 is an insane mile for a non runner that’s sick!
Great content! Could you do a thirty- day challenge using a power twister bar?
you are thge best fitness guy i saw on youtube thanks for the motivation
Imagine how fast you would have been if you had taken one day off before the final run.
I remember the first time I did the 1500m in primary school. It was without a doubt the tiredest I've ever felt in my entire life!😂😂😂 and yes I said tiredest that's how tired I was, my tired was tired of being tired, It felt like I was going to die😆

Browney,
First off I want to say I admire your perseverance and dedication to what you do, and you do it well.
@@MrRainandThunderrelaxingsounds agreed.
@@fridj7455 I'm sure you believe so, but not with a beginner's running form. All of them heel strike idk man
As a weightlifter, which would be more effective? The same exercise day after day or to vary the workout? Consult a running coach. I bet intervals would be an effective strategy.

It's just a big part mental. You didn't go from 12:30 to 6:50 in muscle growth, you went that progress in mentally pushing yourself and a bit of muscle gain. It's like doing a backflip, mentally hard at first but easy once you do it. Good job
