I do hope they won't just copy the usual games where this beautiful world is just a 3D menu: you can navigate but you can't fight in it, instead you are transferred to some sort of arena or corridor space. If that's the case, having an open world is irrelevant, since all you can do is walk.
No I don't think it will be like old school games like final fantasy where you have a map to roam around and have seperate fight sequences. It will be like Tof or GI and be a fully real time fight sequence. So you will have to walk to areas with mobs in them and that kind of thing - as far as I am aware
Based on what I've seen, this would actually be a banger. But if the producers can 1. Maybe add a story that you could follow and complete 2. Not just make it an open world but an interactive and engaging one 3. Have great battles tho 4. Have side missions aside from story line like helping an npc to find someone like their lost cat, or helping them in doing something 5. make the npc more lively, i noticed that as she entered and got off the train the npc just did nothing but stay in one position. Maybe some people should be going in and out of the train 6. And finally make npc more life like and probable. When you were driving a car and hit an npc you just went through them instead of hitting them, npc mouths should also be moving while taking to make it seems real If the producers do these things, there's no way this game won't be recognized world wide

Because no matter how beautiful it looks, a repetitive, uninspired, and flat gameplay won't keep players engaged. They have the opportunity to create something great or something mediocre. Project mugen better tbh its action combat and doesn’t rely on cooldown combat and has more skills than just 1 skill ult and special like NTE or Wuthering waves
