as a game dev i can tell you that they are not using 100% of the game engine, it’s virtually impossible to use 100% of a game engine. The complexity and variety of features within modern engines are designed to cover a wide range of game types and development needs, making it improbable for any one project to utilize every single tool, feature, or system they offer. Game engines are built to be flexible and adaptable, accommodating everything from indie games to AAA titles across different genres and platforms. However, each game has specific requirements, and developers typically focus on the subset of features that best match their project’s vision and technical goals. Trying to use 100% of an engine would also lead to inefficient development, as some features might not add value or could negatively impact performance if not suited to the game's purpose. Therefore, while you can use a lot of what an engine offers, using everything is neither practical nor necessary.

The reason why wuwa is heavier on most devices and it´s worse optimized aswell, Genshin goes for a more Fantasy theme and more of a "childish" palette, for the lack of a better word, closer to the Zelda games, not like Genshin could never in this case, it´s just it´s not their theme. There is plenty of other Genshin could never that i agree on and we see they only NOW trying to do some sh*t after they started to lose revenue to other gachas.
@@kurok1tenshiyou said a load of nothing The reason wuthering waves is intensive compared to genshin is the assets and layering of wuthering waves are more demanding and constantly load in around you compared to genshin where they load and become less detailed the farther they are away Its genuinely that simple If you got out of bounds you see that genshins map is pretty much a continous landmass where wuthering waves has multiple assets and layers that individually load in This is why performance is infinitely better in their domains they have less to load
KURO IS THE SAVIOR OF GACHA GAMES QUALITY!!! changes my mind~ there are a lot of bigger companies than Kuro yet their quality is even lower than this rising company from CN yes i mean you capcon and your DMC peak of mid (dmc mobile is actually good just like the OG ver on 1st beta but got butchered when releases lmao)
Meanwhile Genshin: We got exclusive fog effects for PS4 and PS5. And oh, did I mention, 5 star Natlan exclusive exploration upgrades? Honestly, I love the visual detail on WuWa better than Genshin in every way, it's truly eye candy, especially when you get to the fog and water effects. It's just that I just can't get behind Kuro's optimisation for the low end devices. Not to mention, I don't like how the writing quality isn't consistent. One moment it's trash, another moment it shines, then it's mid, then again it's mind-blowing. I am getting whiplash from the ups and downs in quality. Genshin's writing did suck at times, but it was nowhere near the level of WuWa. "If we can't run it, then it's bad" mentality is really amazing. Also it runs ok on mobile now specially when controller support is now available the experience is much more different than launch
Mobile runs better idk why people continue this narrative that it's unplayable Its not comparable to Pgr which runs at 60fps especially with all the effects however it's not unplayable

damn, if only the world textures were more than 240p.
People somehow think its a worst game than genshin, cuz they can't run it at 4k 120 fps
Don't think u can run Genshin at 120fps at all actually, not directly in game settings at least
@TheAndreas50 true. They can not lmao. People been asking for it for years now.
That, or they simply like a more cartoonish style better than a more realistic one, no?
@hentikirby7142 You can thank Apple for that. Genshin can get 120 fps, but only on IOS.
I can't even have stable 30 fps on lowest with 3050, wtf is 120 in your question?
*cries in low performing device*
(i play on the lowest settings and the game still looks beautiful, doesn't stop the game from lagging the hell out of my laptop tho)
Gemshin could never
The reason why wuwa is heavier on most devices and it´s worse optimized aswell, Genshin goes for a more Fantasy theme and more of a "childish" palette, for the lack of a better word, closer to the Zelda games, not like Genshin could never in this case, it´s just it´s not their theme. There is plenty of other Genshin could never that i agree on and we see they only NOW trying to do some sh*t after they started to lose revenue to other gachas.
only complaint I have is that the EN voice direction needs major improvement.
@kurok1tensihi I have a mid range phone and wuwa runs fine on it. Just play on medium to low graphics.
@@kurok1tenshiyou can also make fantasy child-like themes look good so idk whats their excuse lol
@@kurok1tenshiyou said a load of nothing
The reason wuthering waves is intensive compared to genshin is the assets and layering of wuthering waves are more demanding and constantly load in around you compared to genshin where they load and become less detailed the farther they are away
Its genuinely that simple
If you got out of bounds you see that genshins map is pretty much a continous landmass where wuthering waves has multiple assets and layers that individually load in
This is why performance is infinitely better in their domains they have less to load
My PC started smoking when I tried to turn on all the settings
KURO IS THE SAVIOR OF GACHA GAMES QUALITY!!! changes my mind~
there are a lot of bigger companies than Kuro yet their quality is even lower than this rising company from CN
yes i mean you capcon and your DMC peak of mid (dmc mobile is actually good just like the OG ver on 1st beta but got butchered when releases lmao)

How could their revenue can't be on top 5:((
censor tower is crap you know?
and that only apply for mobile only not pc
Majority WuWa players are in PC, where those revenue ranking didnt count for
@@GreenGuy6969 really ? I play on PC and I see very few reason for this game to be so underrated.-.
It’s more F2P friendly + their fan base is relatively small when compared to Hoyo fanbases.

and ppl will say, why is this so laggy on my potato phone 💀
yoru?
The blackshore is so beautiful and splendid with PC, I really enjoy experiencing here😋
Meanwhile Genshin: We got exclusive fog effects for PS4 and PS5.
They have a clear vision of what kind of story they want to tell and excel at that, while sometimes messing up the minor details. I really hope WuWa will maintain Shorekeeper quality storytelling in the future as well.
@@RKNancy yeah but you they are highly different. Genshin is a game for kids and colorful. But Kuro doesn’t hit the nail each time. For example the first map of WuWa doesn’t look good at all. But the 1.3 and 1.1 maps hit godly.
i haven't played genshin in a long time and am only playing wuwa, but it makes sense why wuwa looks so much better. it's made in UE4, while genshin was made in Unity, 4 years back.
@@wohnieosuengines dont matter too much when you know how to use them properly. The game can look literally the same if made in unity. Unreal just makes some things like lighting and shaders easier to work with. With the anime artstyle WW doesn't even utilise unreal's core strength, which is photorealism
@@SolaireOfToast The base game map actually looks incredible in many places, but the game doesn't organically lead you into any of the best views, while Genshin lays the gameworld out in a way that entering a new area will almost always give you an amazing view of the landscape.
@@andrewcapra7153 Yeah but i mean overall. Sure many places look good, my favorite is the burning city, it looks amazing. But the "non" named places feel really... soulless and left behind. I wish they made the map overall better, but the map was just WAY to big.
Me seeing quality I will probably never be able to play with myself
do you edit the lighting in post or that's in-game footage? it seems darker here 0:57
Nividia filter
And bloom off with lowest brightness
If you turn the brightness down to 0, you'll see the game have more contracts and is more clean than usual
This is why I love this game. You have a beautiful world, amazing gameplay and you don’t simply collect stupid PNGs. The character models are insane and their kits actually make a difference.
Funny how every month haters cry "Oh EOS soon". Brah! That's only mobile revenue, and it's not even accurate lmfao.
Most of their income comes from PC! UE over Unity so that we can actually experience the game in Absolute Cinema!
beautiful and soothing to the soul!
A free gacha game beats AAAA games that cost stupid amount in every aspects by miles away, the differences is just like mud vs sky.
even wuwa cost a fraction to develop than concord lol
@@p4ntom87well, remember the old saying: "go woke, go broke"

Even the solo leveling killing the trash game
I'm in this for the flawless action combat, but the game truly is a work of art on the graphics and design department. The amount of care they put and all the extra details speak well of the developers.
please DONT COMPARE IT WITH GENSHIN, they will cry if see this video 😂
And pull out the "revenue'" card which 50 % of them clearly went into Dawei and sharesholders' pockets,40% into nuclear reactor and marketing. That's why Graphics nor model quality don't improve and They'll get same JPG for a getting a 5*...

It’s decent tho, reduce in game brightness
Its actually really beautiful and detailed too. The only problem is that it makes the game a bit slower unless your phone is up to date or meant for gaming.
"If we can't run it, then it's bad" mentality is really amazing. Also it runs ok on mobile now specially when controller support is now available the experience is much more different than launch
Mobile runs better idk why people continue this narrative that it's unplayable
Its not comparable to Pgr which runs at 60fps especially with all the effects however it's not unplayable
