      @@willy7968 unfortunately I don't have the equipment to test myself so I'm just taking other people's results and word for it but in theory it makes sense. Polling rate is just to fetch the input data there so it's a hypothetical best case scenario, but if the controller takes 10ms to produce the data then that's for the lack of better terms it's actual real world input delay performance.
      I believe the V3P is 7-8ms? So it's not like it's bad it's just not 2ms like the polling rate would suggest. Same with Apex 4, it's 1000hz is marketed as 1ms but it's about the same performance as the V3P
      All that said I love these controllers, the v3p is amazing. Hopefully the Vader 4 pro has improved internals but we'll see. This info is important because it'll hold manufacturers accountable and improve their gamepads performance over time

    How is it possible for the Xbox Series controller to have only 2 ms average latency, if it's being polled at 8 ms intervals? It should be at least 4 ms on average due to 125 hz polling rate alone (not counting other sources of overhead, so more likely 5+ ms average lag with significant deviation).

      and they all work fine ZERO issues.
      I also have Vader 3 Pro and its broken from day1, i got it and had nothing but issues.
      First the WiFi radio burned out after 2 hours of usage, i purchased 2 dongles and it wont sync to them, so it burned on the gamepad itself.
      There is no advertised way to calibrate the sticks.
      My Zeuss2 ALPS sticks got 0.2% and 0.6% error rate, the vader 3 pro "hall" sticks had near 30% error rate.
      I found a button combo that allows you to calibrate it and now im getting 6%, so ALPS on ZEUSS2 is still miles better.

    I think there is some physics background you will need to catch up to before publishing more videos. It's physically impossible to achive 2ms delay while sending updates to the driver every 8 ms. This means that your measurement must be faulty. 0/10. Maybe it calculates one of the delay components, but deffinitly not total delay. And you didnt specify what does it meassure. SO for now all this meassurements are BULLSHIT. For total delay you should use nvidia LDAP or simiiar device.
    As you said this device is beta. Its seems reasonable but when i dig into how it works i found some major flaws. So it detects physical button switch with wires conntected to ardruino, and compares it to the actual signal beeing received by the device. But its not the same device. Ardruino only receive the physical shortage of the button. Actual signal goes to the different machine. Hence the meassurements are worthless. It should be send and compared within one device. So both signals should go to ardruino to get any meassurement thats remotly any good.
    Something is very wrong here but it requires further investigation.

    • @AnnaPunch
      @AnnaPunch  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is no mistake here, even with a polling rate of 125, you can sometimes get results below 8ms. Take a look at these measurements with a more reputable device docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KlRObr3Be4zLch7Zyqg6qCJzGuhyGmXaOIUrpfncXIM/edit#gid=0
      The thing is that some signals may have time to "slip" into the polling window at the moment of button pressing. The higher the ping rate, the more of these moments. But even with a low polling rate, a delay of less than 8 ms is possible.

    • @SiewcaPozogi
      @SiewcaPozogi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Of course it can. So you are telling me that you randomly measured 125hz device and allways clicked the button near the next data send window? How many meassurements were done? What a lucky woman here. Or cherry picking. Not sure. @@AnnaPunch

      Also checked out the google doc u sent. There is no flydigi vader 3 on the list, and xbox controller gets 5-10ms which is reasonable. Also the flydigi vader 2 is only meassured with BLUETOOTH connection at 15ms. Which is good for a bluetooth connection. @@AnnaPunch

      BTW. Flydigi seems to be high in top 10 with dongle latency. Also the xbox one s controller with so slow pooling rate and so good meassurment at 6ms makes me wonder what kind of trickery microsoft uses in the internals of this. I think it requirers further an investigation by looking at total system delay with an LDAP or similiar device. I guess there is some internal synchronisation of button presses and pooling clock. This would improve apparent delay, but not real one. Its really weird. gotta look into this.

    I have no issues with the smell. I cant smell a thing from it.
    I have no issues with the receiver, HOWEVER, when I use the controller in reWASD, it randomly disconnects. I prefer reWASD bc you can remap the c and z face buttons to keyboard shortcuts. At the time of this writing, you cannot do that in the space station app.
    I don't use the controller in Bluetooth mode. I have the dongle plugged in at all times, so I cannot comment on that.

    Because my old controller needed retirement I bought this one...overall: You can also buy a Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2.
    If you buy only the controller it's cheaper. But if you want a case, a loading dock and maybe different stick caps you are somewhere at the price of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. So it's not cheaper.
    But I also can say something positive about it. It is very configurable. Meaning you can replace any key with something else. Like ABXY with keys from your keyboard or mouse keys or the mouse wheel. Now I said that it "only" supports the 3 standard mouse keys. But hey, that's quite good.
    That was the selling point for me. I wanted a controller I can redefine all keys to my liking. I'm playing games like ArmA or heavy modded Skyrim. So I need kind of every command key available when wanting to change to controller. I have no need for 5 keys on a controller doing the same thing. Except maybe in fighting games. There are situations where it's helpful. But that did also my old Logitech...wait. I could define keys on that controller...well only in DirectX mode that no one uses anymore.
    So this controller has something unique that as much I know only the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 can do.
    Scuf as example tells me I'm a stupid asshole when I want to change ABXY commands. And all other does only allow swapping controller commands.
    About the entire Hall sensor hype...from my experience most people destroy their controllers through other ways before the sticks get damaged.
    The stick drift problem...my nearly 20 year old Logitech controller had that, too. It was dirt. Opening it, cleaning it and it worked again. After 19 years it didn't help much anymore. Not for long enough.
    So the theory behind stick drift is true. But I think it never happens as fast as "experts" pretend.
    How good the controller is I can not say. It feels alright. But honestly. For me it's just a dumb try. If it doesn't work I'm probably done with all those companies. From Microsoft over Scuf to this one towards this video. All expensive controller companies sell bad controllers.
    Maybe the trick is buying some cheap controller for 20€ to 40€ and when it stops working who cares. You can buy a new one.
    As I said. The cabled 30€ controller from Logitech, the F310 held nearly 20 years of childhood playing. Now calculate how long I expect that controller to hold.🤣
    Oh, and cool vid.

    Sounds like xbox original gamepad marketing a bit to me. Especially responses measured in review differs from other reviews (th-cam.com/video/TpYiUagYPsU/w-d-xo.html) significantly. I agree just with quality of used plastic and sometimes QC from China (caused by non-original vendors and fake products). About hall sensors generally, I using them on my RC TX (chinese Flysky and Taranis are #1 now, while Graupner /Germany established/ after Korean aquisition in 2016 are terrible now). Believe me, I dont want to risk my $1000 planes because of bad quality TX 🙂
    The only issue with hall sensors in RC TX - even small dust patricles inside of internal chamber could make a change to magnetic fields (leading to improper values reading), so if sensor case is not sealed perfectly, it is allways a good idea to protect it from dust and other dirt.

    Nah, sure quality control and 1 bad apple in 100 ok but if anyone can produce good quality for little money then it is china, the price-performance ratio of this controller with microswitch buttons, hall effect thumbsticks, and extra rebindable buttons etc is more than fair and at this price point there is hardly anything comparable on the market!

    But what's the alternative? I can't really find anything else. 8bitdo, etc. aren't options as the "extra buttons" on the back can only be set as pointless duplicates of other controller buttons. Flydigi seems to be the only one that lets you set them to custom keys (e.g. keyboard keys).

    I would go with 8bitdo any time. However I hate how they removed the Bluetooth Xinput connection from their newer ones. I have a Pro 2 (The one that combines SNES + Playstation). It is superb except that I can not get used to the left stick placement.
    I would take their switch shaped one any time if it had the same connectivity options as the old ones have. No idea why they removed those options and not left them in as an option. Dongle only PC is not an option for me since I want to take the controller with me and connect to different devices without extra hardware.
    It seems like the FlyDigi might be better than the KingKong 3 so I took the gamble. In worst case I have to stick with my 8bitdo, use a dongle or use an Xbox Elite.

    My last comment here was nice and this video gave me doubts about my Vader 3 Pro order, but now that it has arrived, i gotta say... This is a poor and clickbaity vid. This controller is excellent. It only cost me £40, yet i prefer the V3 Pro over my far more expensive Elite Series 2 controller (4x the cost) and my GuliKit KK3 MAX (2x the cost).
    When using the high speed 960fps camera on my phone i can see the input latency is at least equal to my Elite Series 2.
    And yeah the plastic smells cheap if you stick your nose right next to it, and the silver painted parts look cheap too, but it literally IS a cheap controller, and who sniffs controllers anyway? So far the plastics seem pretty strong (better than my KK3, especially with the triggers locked).
    I have no connection problems at all. But admittedly i've connected the dongle to a USB hub with a 5 meter long cable, which acts as a long antenna, so the V3 Pro works anywhere in my house. It also connects extremely quickly in under one second, unlike the Elite Series 2 or especially the KK3, which both take longer with the same hub. I love how i can just turn on the V3 Pro and immediately start using it without any wait.
    I also get higher polling rates than shown here (480Hz with dongle and exactly 500Hz with cable). I've updated to a very recent firmware though, so maybe it improves things.
    The one thing that's left is how will the sticks/buttons hold up over time... So far they're great, it has the best feeling ABXY buttons and D-pad that i've used on a controller in 30+ years. The D-pad is absolutely perfect for fighting games. The sticks aren't as accurate as the KK3 when using Gamepad Tester but they feel better to use because they have lower tension, and perform just as good with actual gameplay.
    You can't go wrong for this money.

    • @percy4209
      @percy4209 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I collect hall effect controllers (and controllers in general) so I have just about every one of them that's hit the market up to the Stealth Ultra from Turtle beach. I am waiting on my KK3 Max and Apex 4 to arrive. Without question, the Vader 3 Pro is the best hall effect controller for the price and one of the best controllers period. My stealth ultra is better in certain areas, but the flydigi is better in others. You should buy a USB-A Male to Female cable about 1ft long for the weak wireless adapter that comes with the Flydigi as pointed out in the video above. I would lose connection within like 3ft to my PC without it. With it, I can roam all over my home and not lose connection.
      The flydigi d-pad is unmatched by any other controller I have used. The stealth ultra have slightly better sticks and rear buttons. If i had to pick between the two, I would go with the Flydigi all day at less than half the price. They both have their flaws, but they are the 2 best hall effect controllers hands down that I own. The flydigi software is also great IMO and the Turtle Beach software is absolute trash. I have to use the controller's LED display to change settings. Thank god they included that display, which is something I previously did not care about and wished they had opted not to include it for a cheaper price. After dealing with their software, though, I'm very glad they did.
      I wouldn't even recommend anything else unless you just could not pay the $90. If you were looking for a budget controller, I'd say to go with the Flydigi Direwolf 2 since it has the same Sticks/buttons as the Vader 3 minus the rear buttons and trigger stops or the iine Sirius since it has a very similar d-pad to the Flydigi, mechanical face buttons that are also about as good, and solid hall effect sticks, but it's rear buttons are basically unusable they are so bad. But if you don't care about that and are looking for something under the $90 range, that's what I would go with. The wireless polling rate for the Sirius is pretty bad, so you'll want to go wired USB-C on the this one. For wireless with good polling rate, it's pretty much Flydigi Vader 3 Pro, Direwolf 2, and Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. KK3 Max looks promising, but the lack of software, mechanical face buttons and the D-pad don't excite me much, honestly.
      If you absolutely have to have xbox and won't use the Brook Wingman, you're only real options are the Stealth Ultra and the Gamesir G7 SE. The G7 SE is not a bad controller at all if you want hall effect for xbox on a budget, but I would put the Sirius above it all day - rear buttons aside.

      @@DoNotPassGO Both of my Vader 3 Pro's still function like the day they were first opened. I can't say the same for other high end brands, like Razer and Turtle Beach, that I've owned. It's kinda funny...most of my Hall Effect controllers still work just fine where as the high end controllers I've bought have always had issues within 6 months. Strange some "cheap" controllers outlasting these controllers that cost double or more. I haven't got my hands on the KK3 Max yet, but compared to every single other hall effect controller I own, which I own just about every other one, I wouldn't ever buy anything other than Flydigi if I had to make the choice. I gave my Direwolf 2 away, since I felt bad having it around with it not getting any use, about 2 weeks before Christmas 2023 and the kid who is using it absolutely loves it.
