    the restart command is weird. Why coders separate disk data and memory is hilarious. remember when windows needed you to press f5 to refresh the window contents? so weird

    MWM seems to be what SGI used as a GUI in IRIX. I learn 3D on SGI and I always wanted that GUI over that sh1tty XP Teletobies GUI! I even Kept winnt GUI into XP for that same aesthetic reason. Even win10 still don't get it right. Boy do I like OSX for that reason. Back then I prefered Softimage 3.0 over 3.5 as Microsoft didnt port the software interface to win yet. Weird but good it was to have a good GUI application in win NT. Motif is emblematic or Unix to me.

      I love SGI's IRIX. I think it's the best Unix out there. I don't recall them using MWM but I could be wrong. I do agree with you that Motif and Unix really match in my mind. - Vincent
