I absolutely cannot get my lower ball joint to break free from the steering knuckle. Ive tried tapping on it, and tried separating with a hall joint separating tool. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
If I'm replacing both the Knuckle and wheel bearing, is it necessary to remove the old wheel bearing from the old knuckle?
Why did you replace the spindle knuckle ?
Great job young man on the video A+
Does anyone know why I can’t find steering knuckles for a 1996 k1500? Iv looked everywhere
Is this 2WD RWD??? Or 4wd??? I gotcha 2010 1500 RWD 2WD that "looks" the same way. Lmk. Ty.
Why didn’t the mechanic use the screw the General Motors installs at the factory to secure the brake rotor to the wheel bearing hub assembly?
Excellent video!!!! Thanks
All new stuff, get a new backing plate too! lol
great job
Did you have to get a new wheel bearing?
+Tanner Tucker Thanks for watching! Yes it is a good idea to just replace the hub if you are going through the trouble of replacing the knuckle.
Can you reuse an old wheel bearing?
+Tanner Tucker You can certainly reuse your old bearing if it is still good.
Why not replace that rusty ass backing plate while you're at it?😂
