    I’ve been going through 1AAuto for a couple years now, relearning the trade after my dad passed in ‘03. I couldn’t bring myself to touch a vehicle for 10 years under the hood. Once the clouds and fog finally passed, I realized it was time to take care of our family vehicles again myself. With everything that changed in those 10 years, let’s just say I was rustier than that backplate! With these videos and parts from their site I’ve been able to relearn and appreciate the craft much more now. Getting back into it actually made me feel closer to my dad and 1AAuto, their parts finder/matcher, and tool guide has really helped me to appreciate the craft I thought I had lost forever. It’s saved me and my family money while also providing free full length videos to keep me informed and safe while doing my work. I truly feel like they’re going to help me to keep my truck running for another 150,000 miles. Thank you 1AAuto for your help, your instructional videos, the parts, and never stop making the videos - they’re truly great and invaluable

    Thanks. Got my TRQ hubs last night and installing they today. Parts looks great. This is the second time I've ordered from 1AAUTO with great results and the videos are great to have for reference. (Torque specifically). I will continue to order from they and the customer service is wonderful. Tim

    Thank you for the refresher course, I haven’t changed a wheel hub in a long time, only thing I had to do different was use a much bigger hammer😆

    Great video! Note that there may or may not be a small bolt holding the disc to the hub. If you don't remove that bolt then the rotor won't be coming off.

    My 2005 Chevy had a T55 screw from the rotor to hub bearing. The new bearing I bought didn't have that hole. Can I still use that new hub? I figured the lug nuts will hold it all together anyway.

    Die grinder with a blue scotchbrite disk/wheel barrel. Another tip use antiseize or corrosion ban in the yoke bore where the hub sits.

    I have a Service stabilitrac and service traction control message. Also have abs and traction control warning light on. My hub has play, I was told the hub could potentially cause this issue. Can confirm this.

    Bro I can not get that hub out of the housing no matter what I do!! I have used pb blaster, heat, air chisels everything!!! I even hit it with a sledge just to see if it will budge!! Nothing!!! I'm at a lose rn on what to do. I have all the bolts out. My brake plate has always been gone so idk if that not being there has let it Gould itself to it or what, but any suggestions would be very much appreciated

    • @Slicerwizard
      @Slicerwizard 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bowtiebuilding He should've bought a hub tamer and a big sledge hammer before he started the job.
      An air hammer on the three bolts after they're loosened a bit is another option. Plan on replacing the bolts.

    Thank for the great vid! Do you know what is the exact difference between a 2WD hub vs a 4WD hub is? I know the CV goes into the 4WD hub but what I'm really wondering is, if I want to delete my 4WD parts and remove my CV axles, why do I need to replace the 4WD hubs with 2WD hubs?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +A K Thanks for watching! The RWD hubs are self contained and do not have spines for a CV shaft to go through. 4x4 hubs require torque from the hub nut to keep them together. There could be more differences such as bolt spacing etc, but the former would be the main differences! 1aauto.com

    I've done this several times on my 2000 chevy blazer it's basically the exact same. But doing this 07 chevy none of the retaining clips will fit the mounting locations. 30 minutes to change the hub an hour fighting with a plastic clip.

    it shouldnt be a big issue to install the whole assembly one way or
    another right? I messed up and put the ABS wire closer to the front of
    the truck when it should have been spun around to the rear of the truck
    instead where the bracket to hold the ABS sensor is. I have it zip tied up nicely, just unsure if it will mess around with any abs related things with it being in the incorrect location. Hoping not to have to take it off again lol. this is off a 2010 Gmc Sierra 2500hd. thanks 1Aauto!

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      +grim2sday Thanks for checking our video out! Unfortunately, we would advise following the steps shown in the video correctly, including the positioning of the ABS sensor wire, to ensure you don't run into any problems in the future. 1aauto.com

    I have an 06 GMC Sierra and bought the TRQ wheel hubs for the 2wd from 1Aauto. I can't find the torque settings anywhere. Does 1AAUTO have them listed somewhere? Are they the same as the ones in this video?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Bilad172 We would suggest checking your owners manual, or locating a Hayne's manual for this vehicle to ensure you have the proper torque specs. 1aauto.com
