For the first time since my first playthrough I went to fort haight for the dectus medallion and my brain went "now imagine [character name] in fort haight"
Fun fact about the Marais Executioner’s Sword, it has split Magic damage despite having no Intelligence scaling. Instead it has Arcane scaling that increases both the Magic and physical damage of the sword. Why? Who knows. Now the extra funny part. The Unique Skill scales with overall Attack Rating, and each tick of the spin is considered an individual attack. This means that anything that boosts successive attacks, Magic damage, and overall AR can boost Eochaid’s Dancing Blade. These include: Ritual Sword. Red-Feathered Branch. Magic Scorpion. Either Winged Sword Insignia. Millicent’s Prosthesis. Godfrey Icon. Either Jar Shard. Contagious Fury. Rallying Standard. Last Rites. Sacred Order. Shared Order. Golden Vow. War Cry. Barbaric Roar. Braggart’s Roar. Howl of Shabriri. Flame, Grant Me Strength. Both Exultations. All status helmets. Thorny Tear. Magic Tear. Rogier’s Spellblade Set. Uplifting Aromatics. Bloodboil Aromatics. And even Terra Magica. I might’ve missed some. Not particularly relevant to the video, since Elemer doesn’t use these, but that is still pretty insane. Especially when you consider that most of these can be stacked.
I have no explanation for why it's physical damage is increased by ARC but the magic damage one is just the sword drawing the needed magical power out of it's user and enveloping itself in it. That's how all Arcane Arts type magic works, which by the way I am still mad we never got a full third magic type for the Arcane Arts in the game.
Contagious Fury won't work because you have to put away the shield to do the AoW. You can have a weapon in your left hand with Sacred order to get a 10% boost and then switch to the Marais that's in your right hand and do the AoW.
@@MFD00MTR33 Putting the shield on your back when performing AoWs or through two-handing a weapon lets you keep any passive effect the shield provides. Only unequipping a shield (softswapping it for something else or just unequipping it from the menu) actually hides the shield and removes all effects related to it
Fun Fact: The Weapon's Ash of War also does Magic damage which means that its damage can be further boosted if you use Terra Magica, the Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear, the Magic Scorpion Charm and Rogier's Armor Set which gives extra damage to Ashes of War that do Magic damage. P.S. 3:39 The Nomadic Merchant Set already exists. You can find it in that Parkour place with the graves in the Leyndell Sewers.
@xXLunatikxXlul He does a plenty of research. If you watch his streams one can see that.. He decided to boost the damage that the Ash mostly does which is physical. Other gear boosts the damage much more. Strength Tear, Thorny Cracked Tear, Millicents pros. Stats into Strength and Arcane. Best way to build this
I appreciate your grass-touching refresher take on Elden Ring's difficulty. Too many people get all purple-nurpled when talking about FromSoft difficulty.

Might sound like a silly thing to love, but I do love the songs you pick during the part transitions. Love even more that the song typically ties in with whatever the next part is called aswell lol Also Elmir of Briar with only a +4 dagger at level 30 is certified sick with it lol
The bell bearing hunters can hit you from a football field away, and their grab is more bullshit than marth's, but does that mean they will make the the swag jump first try?
Perfect opportunity to pitch an idea I just had: before the dlc drops I’d like to see a “slash or pass” list for the Legendary Armaments. We’ve already seen a slash on the godslayer in the Riku video, the ruins Greatsword on ganondorf, and the marais executioner sword both here and on Darth Vader, and a hard pass on the eclipse shotel. That just leaves the dark moon Greatsword, the golden order Greatsword, and the sword of night and flame (which got buffed again after it got super nerfed)

I did an Arcane run and I mainly used this weapon... it's so good, oh my god. I also had Mogh's Salad Fork, that was a great weapon for anything that could bleed, and then for non-bleeders, I went to this sword. I agree that it''s stumpy as hell though. Especially once you get the talisman from saving Mili at the very end, combined with the Godfrey Icon (didn't even know if it worked), the Alexander shard, and then you can have a talisman to boost your defenses, killer damage. It was my first run where I just went all in on Ashes of Wars. I found that often it was best to cancel the follow up attack by rolling out, because usually enemies would dodge out after they eat the entire drill to the face.
