Thanks Jeff, I just went through everything you covered for my 69 f-250 now I have taillights but when I turn my right signals all my lights flash. I wired it up wrong apparently. Thanks for the info have a beer and a great day.
I all ways replace all the bulbs from the beginning. It is easier to start fresh than chase down problems. When it comes to the bucket, sand them on the inside and clean, then paint with chrome paint. This will make them brighter. You can put an adapter in the bulb housing and use slide in builds. Always start at the ignition switch, the wiring harness under the steering wheel and the wires in the steering wheel.
Looking good Jeff, From the beginning to the end, great work.

Nine times out of ten, when I've had that it's been a bad ground. The power will back feed and light up everything looking for ground. Good luck!

Thank you very much for the info wiring and I aren't friends.
If you ever feel like showing off, you can fix the taillights on my 67 cougar.😊
Great end-to-end analysis

Have a Galaxie. My t/s problem was a corroded fuse panel.
