I was there that day too, but left earlier to find a less windy campsite(sage creek). The storm hit when I was driving through the park. It was pretty intense and I was happy that I had left the overlook.
Hey sweetie! Yes! we were so excited to finally boondock at the Wall! Funny, as this was being comfortable with the uncomfortable, but we did it!!! Thanks for watching! means the world to us!❤❤❤
We scouted out this area last month, having left our home/trailer at the bottom of the road. What we saw was potential for trouble, what with the gumbo soil that will create slipping and sliding conditions. My wife said it looked like a slum on a ledge; I agree. Fortunately, our rig is small enough and we decided to off-grid four nights in the silence and solitude at Sage Creek. Given the rain that came that evening, we're happy with our decision.
We loved it. I didn't think it was a slum, and this is a girl that thinks about luxury campgrounds. lol! Yes, a little dangerous but we were far enough from the edge. We also do a lot of solitude off-grid but I need to see people. We stayed at Rafter J campground in the Blackhills for a week before staying at Custer State Park... small park with minimal spaces but very secluded but going to check out Sage Creek! Thanks for watching and sharing!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by. We had some mishaps as we lost footage, and a child bumped into me at Dead Horse State Park and my phone crashed. We have a new uploaded video that just came out this afternoon. Hope you can watch it and thank you for being such a sweetie!
