The drone is probably our favorite pieces of gear (when we can actually fly it that is)! It is so fun to see a different perspective of the places we are at 😍

South Dakota is my favorite place in the world!! The Blackhills National Park is the best place to visit because of the endless beauty it has to offer and there's a big variety of activities to indulge in. I'm so happy you two had the opportunity to visit this place.
Hey, I watch a lot of travel videos & I just visited most of the areas on this! I’m a born & raised South Dakotan! The west & Black Hills is truly a unique place in the world! I must say that your videos are quite entertaining & well put together than most! Keep up the good work & keep on traveling!
I think western South Dakota is one of neatest places in this country. I grew up all over the US but was fortunate enough to live near Rapid City from 1967 through 1971. Your videos of the Badlands and Rapid City took me back in time, and yes I've seen Wall Drug. I'm now retired and living not far from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Hopefully you'll get to experience it in mid October during the peak of the fall leaf colors. Also if you get the chance, check out the Blue Ridge Parkway at that time. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Doug! South Dakota has been one of the best surprises and gems we have encountered in the US! And we are currently heading your way in chase of fall colors. Hoping our timing works out! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
We soooo wish we had stayed up late that night! We wanted to, but then the tiredness hit us. 😴 But as you'll see in our next video, the next morning was horrible weather conditions for star gazing, so I think we made the right choice sleeping! Next time though 🤩
This was awesome as usual! I LOVED those sweet, cute prairie dogs...OMGOSH, I want one! I loved watching them eat and their hands! I just love your enthusiasm and your love to show all of us such beautiful spots! Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you so much for this!! I just came across your channel by typing in Badlands as this is a place where my wife and I are planning on visiting this fall. We have never been there and this is very helpful for us to plan our adventure. Thank you!!
Yay! This most certainly was a good day in the Badlands!! Haha I enjoy your cheesy jokes! Wow, the scenery was so amazing and otherworldly!!! 🤩🤩🤩 The prairie dogs are SO cute!!!! No worries, we love touristy things as well! Thanks so much for taking me along for the ride! You guys are THE BEST!!! 😍😁😆
Hahahah I’m glad you can appreciate the cheesiness 🧀 and the touristy spots! We really wanted to adopt one of those prairie dogs, they are so adorable! 😍
My sister went to Badlands last week and then met up with us in Yellowstone last Monday afternoon. We also spent a little bit of time in the Targhee Mountains on horseback and the Grand Teton/Jenny Lake area as well. Then we ventured down to Zion, Monument Valley (closed due to Covid) and Petrified Forest. It was truly an amazing trip. My sister has talked about how cool Badlands is in the past. This video has convinced me to put this park on the next road trip! You two are a real pleasure to watch and very informative. Thank you for the videos!
The badlands are definitely something to see. Sandcastle heaven. Americas diversity is overlooked. The Painted dessert in Arizona is like a mini badlands.
We totally agree! The US is super diverse! The 1.5 hour stretch from Custer state park to badlands alone was very diverse. We need to visit the painted desert in AZ, it looks gorgeous 😍
I could not get enough of the tail-biting! It was too good lol. I also gotta say, the editing at the end where the prairie dog barking was absolutely amazzzingggg! Got a good snicker outta me hahaha
It was SO amusing to watch! And I am glad you enjoyed the prairie dog bark editing. Adam edited that part with the music and I died laughing when he showed me hahaha 😂
I so appreciate this series. My great grandparents homesteaded in Lemmon, SD and through genealogy and your series, I am getting a better sense of their surroundings. My family also lived in Yale, Deadwood, and Aberdeen before settling in Lemmon. I was able to go to Standing Rock in 2016, for the DAPL protest but sadly wasn’t able to make the hour drive to Lemmon. I definitely need to tour more of SD, I had NO idea the landscape was so diverse. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Safe Travels!
We are so happy to share it with you! South Dakota is incredible and we can only imagine how much cooler it would be to experience it with your family’s history as a guide as well!
It was great seeing the Badlands with you! AirMap is a great tool for drone-flying, glad to see that you were able to get footage without being in the park! Hope to make it back there soon too! Thanks for your wonderful travel videos!
I love South Dakota! My dad grew up there and I have been there many times, visited all of the places and one the hikes you have shown on your video. Thank you for letting me relive one of my favorite places on earth. 😊❤
Our family of three went there in May and we did several hikes and loved that Notch Trail! You guys hit the nail on the head - we kept saying it was like we were walking on Mars and kept talking about how different it was from the Black Hills just an hour or so away. Just so beautiful and we are so glad we did it. We stayed in a cabin at Cedar Pass campground right next to the visitor center and I would highly recommend those as well!
The difference in scenery even on the west side of the state was wild! And that’s good to know about that campground! We will have to check it out next time 🙌🏼
Great video, and for anyone watching, even though they do a great job of showing many of the highlights, there is plenty that was not shown in this video! The rock formations by the parking lot and the big natural amphitheater looking formation by the window trail are really cool and fun to explore! The Castle trail across the street from the featured trails is beautiful too...nice mix of canyons with beautiful green grass and flowers. The scenic drive has a lot more to it as well...like driving on the moon.
Thanks and thanks for watching! With limited time we can only fit so much in a video 😅 That’s why we have our website 😊 we can share SO much more there! adventuresofaplusk.com/things-to-do-in-badlands-national-park
What can I say? Another wonderful adventure! Stay safe and healthy and keep the vlogs ccoming. Thank you both, I know you guys put a lot of work in to your vlogs.
I've just recently discovered your channel. You two do a terrific job highlighting the places you explore in your videos. Great video footage! I hope more you're able to highlight more states. This makes me want to visit SD.
Two times to the west coast. Did California, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada by car. Then two times to New York City. One included a day trip to Washington DC by train. The other one included a several days trip to Toronto, Canada. Also by train. Number five was to Florida. Included a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. And then by car - Miami, Key West, Tampa, Tallahassee, Mobile, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Orlando, the Everglades, and Cape Canaveral. Years 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2018. Perhaps 2022 next time.
Ok, now I HAVE TO go back to SD. Took a road trip up there last summer from Houston to visit Mt Rushmore and loved it. Visited Black Hills, Rapid City, and Wall, but didn't think we had enough time for the Badlands. So much regret right now!
If you're going to go further east be sure to check out the corn palace in Mitchell SD and the falls at Sioux Falls and also the sculpter walk in their downtown.
Humpy, stripy, good times at the badlands, Kathryn you are so funny! 😂🤗🥰 Another fantastic video! You two are incredible ❤ Seriously crazy landscape! Reminded me of an old show Lost in Space!
Heading to the Mount Rushmore area in late July from the Chicago area. Thank you for these series of videos. It's giving me lots of material to plan our trip with.
Another awesome video. Your SD series is beyond excellent. Love the Badlands! It’s such a surreal and beautiful park, plus it is so easily accessible. I think this may have been my first National park I ever visited, but I’m not 💯 positive since I visited as a child. It’s either this one or Acadia. We tried to do Sage Creek Rim Road as well but ended up turning around. It was so washboarded that I though our vehicle was going to shake apart. I was nervous for your van while watching this video. My favorite memory were the dark skies here. They were incredible and the park service does astronomy nights throughout the summer. They have telescopes set up and the night we visited you could see Saturn. And Wall Drug, the mother of all tourist traps. Nothing like billboards for 300 hundred miles when you come from the east side of the state. Just one of those things you have to do. There is a similar tourist trap near us called South of the Border at the NC/SC border but it doesn’t compare to Wall Drug at all.
Thanks so much Michael! We loved the Badlands, the scenery is so crazy! And our poor van is used to these roads by now. Us? We still hate them haha but it’s worth it for the places they take us to!
I have loved watching your series over Wyoming and South Dakota. We are huge fans of National Parks and plan on heading to SD and WY this summer. Thanks for the awesome content. We also look forward to trying out some of the restaurants you all check out.
From Wonderland to bad land. how weird what a cool ladder to climb. Such amazing views. earth is so amazing. Wall drug looks huge and so cool. yummy 😋. Amazing camping spot. that drone footage was amazing 😍. great job. take care my friend
Michael Bay actually used the Badlands to film some of Armageddon. They shined blue and green lights on the rocks and pretended they were on the asteroid. Wall Drug was the first place to offer free ice water to travelers. They became so popular there were billboards for Wall Drug all over the US. And just for fun, they even put up a few billboards in Europe.
New sub. here. We will be there in a matter of days and I’m very happy to have found your vlogs. These will help us to have a more enjoyable time and not miss anything! Thank you for posting!
Wow, we are just about to visit Rapid City for South Dakota and your blogs have been very timely, informative and thanks for the tips , just liked and subscribed your channel
Planning a trip to Badlands and didn’t know what to expect but this is such a helpful video! Thank you very much! Definitely made me so much more excited for this trip😁😁
I’m from South Dakota, my friends dad owns the company that makes the signs for Wall Drug! There go all the way the Twin Cities and into Wyoming! There’s around 300 of them!
Great job guys! And you made sure to get a Wall Drug donut. You nailed it when you said the Badlands are like another planet. The Badlands scenery was used in the movie Starship Troopers. The Door and Window Trails are a "must do" and are very easy trails. The Badlands has a special place in our family's heart. My wife's family built and ran the Badlands KOA for many years and that is where my wife and her brothers grew up. When you at the south end of the loop at Cedar Pass be sure a get a Indian taco. They are made with Indian fry bread and they're delicious. They are huge so you can easy split one. If you want even more scenery, you can go west along Hwy 44 to Scenic and check out Sheep Mountain Table. Glad you got to experience our beautiful area!
What a cool place to grow up! 😱 We will need to watch that movie now to see the Badlands on the big screen. Thank you for all of these suggestions! We hope someone reading this can check them out and we will try to next time! 😃
Gotta love your beautifully shot and edited videos and newly minted adjectives! So well thought out and informative, too. I did not know they wanted to call it Wonderlands National Monument. It was just a monument when I first visited in 1962, when I was 15. Dad pulls our '98 Oldsmobile up to that first overlook. It's at least 95 degrees F. out there. Guy next to us opens the trunk of his car to reveal a cooler FULL of beer on ice! Wouldn't share even one can of it. Can't blame him, really. Then, on to Wall Drug, since Dad was a pharmacist and HAD to see it. It covered about 100 by 100 feet back then, and was just a glorified souvenir shop. Last time we were there, in '06, it was like you saw it. Anyway, enough rambling. You guys really put tons of energy and enthusiasm into your videos. Thanks again for sharing all your fun. :-)
It's so cool to hear about your experience visiting the park and Wall Drug! That is so crazy how much smaller it was back then. We had no idea what to expect going in, but it was really fun! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your story, we love getting to hear how others have explored the places we have!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Oh, not that it matters at all, but when I wrote '98 Oldsmobile, I meant to write 1956 Olds 98. Now THAT was a car (more like a barge)! Anyway, you've made me want to head back to the Black Hills!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Glad you didn't say those cars were super cool. NO air con, no seat belts....yuck! Oh, and of course, 1,000 miles to the Black Hills in the days before fast food and interstates. At least we got to take the vacation trip of a lifetime!
Adventures of A plus K We had a great time! First trip to SD and we loved it! One thing the people was so nice & friendly everywhere we went in SD. We enjoyed the Badlands, Custer State Park and Spearfish. I wasn’t sure if I would like it before we got there but I truly did and will definitely be back!
Love your videos! We're from Louisiana, RVed to South Dakota, five day trip beginning Aug 21. Returned home Sept 11th. It was an amazing trip! 4065 mile trek! We stayed 1.5 miles from Custer, and even closer to Custer SP. Thanks for the dynamic videos. We have some footage, new to the GoPro...so lets just say, we laughed alot at our attempts to narrate! We will be showing your videos to our kids and grandkids. Lol. Thanks for the adventure! We are making plans to revisit the area in the near future!
Bless you Kathryn, you were really struggling with your vocabulary first thing in the morning 'bumpy and stripey' 🤣 ❤️ Loved this video. We never made it to Wall Drug, but I do remember seeing the gazillion billboards for it. Another memory I'd completely forgotten and you've brought it back to the forefront of my mind. Your mention of the i90 brought back memories too. Every day would start with 'We'll be heading west of the 90' until we eventually turned north after Yellowstone 🤭 The drone footage just outside of the park was magical. You guys are good with it and are willing to take risks of going down into the rocks to get the awesome shots. I'm such a scared-y cat with mine. Curious to know where you'll be stopping in the next vlog. I remember stopping at the Corn Palace, the Spam factory which we could smell long before we saw it 🤢 and the Jolly Green Giant statue, (though I'm almost certain that was over the border in Minnesota). Are you guys still taking a bit of a break or have you started up again?
Hahahah day 5 of waking up really early finally caught up to me! 😂😴 It was crazy to us to still be on i-90 in South Dakota since it's a road we were on all the time in Seattle. I guess that's how highways work lol, but we never thought about how far it went! We are normally such scaredy cats with the drone too, but Adam was feeling brave that day lol! You got one of our next stops correct! We actually didn't know about the Spam factory or Jolly Green Giant statue until this moment haha, but the statue sounds super cool! We currently are on a break and will start filming again late next week! We left my aunt's yesterday after 3 weeks hanging out there and are slowly making our way to our next destination.
@Adventures of A plus K Aaaaah the suspense of that last sentence!!! Don't worry about the statue or factory, neither were overly fascinating.... not like you missed Mt. Rushmore or something 🤦♀️ Pleased to hear you're about to start filming again, but hope you enjoyed the slow-down and you're fully recharged ❤️
It was nice to have steady WiFi for a bit to edit and upload all of these videos! Now to catch up on our endless list of other tasks 🤣😬 Excited to share more soon about where we are headed next. It’s another underrated state! Or so we think based on our research and seeing how beautiful it looks! 😊
Been watching your whole South Dakota playlist, my wife and I are from Kansas and doing all of this in July. Love your videos, fun and super informative. Great camera work too! Also.. we did the ropes at Storm King last summer, definitely crazy haha. Looking forward to the ladder in this video! Will explore all your videos of travel, keep them coming!
Years ago when I was in the black hills area I saw so many signs for Wall Drug it started to drive me crazy. I HAD to know what the hell Wall Drug is so I drove there without knowing anything about it. LOL. Their billboards work.
Serious proof that billboards can work! Have you ever been to Texas? The Buccee's billboards are another good example of billboards that actually work!
Amazing job showing the sites! I live in MN and want to discover more cool spots this summer and you guys gave me some ideas!!! Keep up the great work and safe travels!
Just binge watching all your SD vlogs! I live by Deadwood, just texted my adventure group that we need to go explore out by badlands more! Just did Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, it's definitely crazy!! Love where I live here in SD!
I live in South Dakota and have been to many national parks and the badlands are one on my favorites. The back country hikes there are my favorite! I love deer haven trail. Also the fact you can go off the trail there!
Adventures of A plus K yes it’s amazing! It gets a little confusing if you haven’t done it before with someone that knows the way because there really isn’t a trail, and when you get into the trees you have to find your way to the top on your own. But once on the top the views are beautiful!
Adventures of A plus K No it doesn’t get busy the most I’ve seen is a few other people. If it did because I’ve seen more people doing the hike than before, you can go wherever you want 😂 but most people never go the whole way. Oh also if you do go again don’t forget a bandanna to prevent wind burn on your face (it can get a little windy😂) also watch out for rattle snakes I’ve seen one almost every time on that trail up in the trees, he warns you tho and if it’s cold still they won’t be out.
You two crack me up LOL. Your descriptive words are far superior than the scientific ones :) The area does look other worldly and when you mentioned it feeling like another planet, I was totally imagining doing photo shoots with my girls in their Star Wars gear LOL. Thanks again for the tremendous effort in sharing you adventure. The info and camera work really makes it feel like we are there with you. Much love to you both
Oh my gosh, now I am envisioning people dressed up in Star Wars costumes doing a photoshoot at the Badlands and how EPIC that would be! 😱Thanks for all of the love and support always, we are so grateful to have you joining us on our adventures!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'm from England (Charlotte) and my husband Cory is from New Zealand, we currently live in Australia though! COVID19 halted our world trip but Aus is a beautiful country to bunker down in for a while. Just gives us more time to build up the excitment for future travel plans I guess!
Adam lived in Australia for 3 months and loved it! I really want to visit, especially after following a few couples that live there and seeing how gorgeous the beaches are and the diverse scenery!
We were in The Badlands/ South Dakota a couple months ago, it was a lot of fun! It's a different experience with little kids lol, so it was cool to see all the things you guys were able to do. Great video!
@@AdventuresofAplusK They loved it! Only one injury (a scratched knee and elbow)at the badlands lol. They also loved "the rock with faces on it" or "mountain Rushmore" both names they like to call it lol.
Mom jokes! The prairie dog area was so cool - we're definitely going to put that on our list for next year. We might have to look at boondocking along the rim too - we have reservations for three nights for our time exploring, but that view is too good to pass up! Definitely need to invest in a drone tho... you might see a bump in your Amazon affiliate commissions haha!
You guys should check out hill city, it's a cute little town, everyone is so nice, and if you do definitely stop by the coffee and fudge shop called Trutle Town. Hope you guys enjoy the black hills! ♡

Ron and I just returned to Honolulu from an awesome trip to South Dakota and more many more places, like Custer State Park, which we LOVED!! Thank you for your awesome tips on hiking The Notch Trail (we had so much fun on that rope ladder!!) and we also did Saddle Pass Trail in The Badlands. I also ate a very yummy chocolate donut from Wall Drug, thanks to you once again, but we found that free water there very unpalatable, but I don't think you recommended that water, right?

This video has convinced me to put this park on the next road trip! You two are a real pleasure to watch and very informative. Thank you for the videos!
Wow that’s an amazing road trip! The horseback riding sounds especially fun! And we are glad we could convince you-it’s a very, very cool place!
The Wall Drug place looks awesome. Glad you guys share your journeys with us. I busted out laughing when you said "Don't leave me for a donut"! LOL!!
Hahahaha it was a close call, but in the end we decided we can still be together WITH donuts! 😜
We love AirMap so much! It even helps us get FAA approval to fly in some orange areas within seconds, which is great! Thanks for watching Mark 😄😄
You guys are so lucky do be able to enjoy all of these national parks! it makes great great memories.
We are so thankful for the ability to work remotely and live in our little home on wheels ❤️
I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series around western South Dakota. It's been very helpful in planning our trip in few weeks. Y'all keep it up.
We are so happy to hear that Tracy! Have a great time!
I love South Dakota! My dad grew up there and I have been there many times, visited all of the places and one the hikes you have shown on your video. Thank you for letting me relive one of my favorite places on earth. 😊❤
It's such a gorgeous state! We're so happy we helped you relive it!
We will have to check it out next time 🙌🏼
The prairie dog battle was everything! 😍
Hahahahah so dang cute! 😍😍
There’s also a wall drug sign in Afghanistan. US troops took it with them
Wow that is crazy! I hope they get sent some gifts from Wall Drug!
I love the descriptions and the enthusiasm. So Awesome.
Thanks so much!
You guys are crushing it! All your videos are so well shot. Have fun out there!
Thank you so much y’all! That means a lot to us! ❤️
With limited time we can only fit so much in a video 😅
That’s why we have our website 😊 we can share SO much more there!
adventuresofaplusk.com/things-to-do-in-badlands-national-park
Parts of Starship Troopers were shot in the Badlands if I recall.
I googled the movies since posting this and was surprised to see how many! Looks like we will have to have a movie night soon! 🙌🏼
I have to say Badlands NP is one of my favorite in the US. It is absolutely stunning!
It is sooo stunning! We have never really seen anything like it!
Badlands looks amazing! Had no idea it looked like that. WOW!
The scenery is wild! 😱
What can I say? Another wonderful adventure! Stay safe and healthy and keep the vlogs ccoming. Thank you both, I know you guys put a lot of work in to your vlogs.
So happy you enjoyed it! And thank you for the support! It’s a lot of work, but we love doing it and cannot wait to continue making more videos 🙌🏼😊
Love this!! My husband and I were married in the Badlands at sunset. It is one of our favorite places and you're right, it is CRAZY!!!
Wow, what a stunning place to get married!!! If we could go back in time, we’d get married at a national park!
I've just recently discovered your channel. You two do a terrific job highlighting the places you explore in your videos. Great video footage! I hope more you're able to highlight more states. This makes me want to visit SD.
Thank you so much Pam! Excited to share some more states soon!
Badlands look prehistoric and there's a little feeling of the pyramids.
Love this video!
Oh. Now I miss travelling even more. I have been to USA five times, and would like to explore more parts of that fantastic country.
Where have you visited during your trips to the US?
Wow, amazing! You’ve seen a good chunk! We highly recommend visiting Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming!
Ok, now I HAVE TO go back to SD. Took a road trip up there last summer from Houston to visit Mt Rushmore and loved it. Visited Black Hills, Rapid City, and Wall, but didn't think we had enough time for the Badlands. So much regret right now!
Badlands is super cool! We hope you can make it back!
If you're going to go further east be sure to check out the corn palace in Mitchell SD and the falls at Sioux Falls and also the sculpter walk in their downtown.
Woo! We actually did all of that! We left a few weeks ago, so we haven’t been able to use most folk’s suggestions, but we did all 3 of those! 😃
Humpy, stripy, good times at the badlands, Kathryn you are so funny! 😂🤗🥰
Another fantastic video! You two are incredible ❤
Seriously crazy landscape! Reminded me of an old show Lost in Space!
Hahaha just trying to show of all of my intellectual adjectives over here 🤣🤣
That walk through was fun and very inteteresting and that was one tiny chapel, totally enjoyed tour great!!!!!
Yay! So happy you enjoyed it!
Heading to the Mount Rushmore area in late July from the Chicago area. Thank you for these series of videos. It's giving me lots of material to plan our trip with.
We are so happy to hear that! Have a great trip!!
Beautiful!!! had no idea that it was this nice! Thank you for sharing!
Of course, we are so happy to share its beauty! 😍😍
I have loved watching your series over Wyoming and South Dakota. We are huge fans of National Parks and plan on heading to SD and WY this summer. Thanks for the awesome content. We also look forward to trying out some of the restaurants you all check out.
Thank you so much for watching! Those are some great states to visit!!
Thank you so much for watching! Those are some great states to visit!!
Just got back from South Dakota had a wonderful time and all the beautiful places , amazing
We're so glad to hear that! Glad you had a great time!
From Wonderland to bad land. how weird what a cool ladder to climb. Such amazing views. earth is so amazing. Wall drug looks huge and so cool. yummy 😋. Amazing camping spot. that drone footage was amazing 😍. great job. take care my friend
Thank you so much! It was a super fun day with lots of cool sights!
Thanks for this video. My mom is 53 years old and she’s weak. But these trails would be perfect for her and the scenery is awesome
We’re so happy we can share! Thanks and thanks for watching!
We just visited the Park and Wall drug store...Thank you for your detailed guidance!!!
We hope you had a great time!
Very good video, made with appreciation of what was seen and generously shared experiences.
Thank you!
Great job as usual. What beautiful scenery!!
Thank you so much Gerald! 😃
Nice music, great videography, and I liked the bit of following along on the park map
Awesome, thank you!
I totally would have said Oreo donuts as well, LOL.
We didn’t know that about Armageddon, so cool! 😱
Lol! It made us want Oreo Donuts! 🤣🤣
Thank you for taking me along!!!!
Thank you so much for virtually coming with us! 💕
New sub. here. We will be there in a matter of days and I’m very happy to have found your vlogs. These will help us to have a more enjoyable time and not miss anything! Thank you for posting!
Have the best time!!! We are glad the video helped you with your trip! 😄
Amazing place and your right it did look like a film set 👍 great work as usual 👏👏👏
We have since learned that lots of movies have been filmed there. Now we need to watch 'em all!
Wow, we are just about to visit Rapid City for South Dakota and your blogs have been very timely, informative and thanks for the tips , just liked and subscribed your channel
Thank you so much for watching! We hope you have a great time!
Planning a trip to Badlands and didn’t know what to expect but this is such a helpful video! Thank you very much!
Definitely made me so much more excited for this trip😁😁
It is a really cool park! Exceeded our expectations!
I’m from South Dakota, my friends dad owns the company that makes the signs for Wall Drug! There go all the way the Twin Cities and into Wyoming! There’s around 300 of them!
The signs are awesome! I love the design of them!
Hahaha that is amazing!!! Those cars are super neat looking!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Glad you didn't say those cars were super cool. NO air con, no seat belts....yuck! Oh, and of course, 1,000 miles to the Black Hills in the days before fast food and interstates. At least we got to take the vacation trip of a lifetime!
Hahahah it’s the memories that make the trip! Good and bad! 😜
We just got back from South Dakota!! Went all the places y’all went. Loved the videos and glad to have found you channel!
We hope you had a fun trip! What was your favorite spot you visited? And thank you so much for watching! 🥰🥰
We weren’t sure what to expect either, but it blew our expectations out of the water! So happy to hear you enjoyed it too!
Wow, what a journey! 🙌🏼 And talking on camera is mega awkward most of the time lol! But it’s fun to film things to look back on later!
Well they did film some scenes for “Starship Troopers” in the badlands.
That is what we have since learned! We need to watch it 😄
Ok that’s it I’ve decided I’m going to South Dakota. Who would’ve known it’s this beautiful
We had no idea either!
You’re going to love South Dakota! Storm King is no slouch! Thank you so much for watching!
Oh you have to put South Dakota on your list! That place is awesome! Thank you for watching and safe travels to you as well!
@@AdventuresofAplusK it seems like such an underrated state! Thanks!
You are giving me great ideas for a summer vacation next year in South Dakota.
Yay! We’re happy to hear that! 🙌🏼
Soooo cool! I’m here now and watching this video to get cool ideas!
Have a good time!
Just binge watching all your SD vlogs! I live by Deadwood, just texted my adventure group that we need to go explore out by badlands more!
Just did Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, it's definitely crazy!! Love where I live here in SD!
Ah very nice! You have sooo many cool spots near you! We absolutely loved SD!
Hadn't heard about Wall Drug, so thanks for sharing!
It is such a fun place! Super touristy, but we love it!
I live in South Dakota and have been to many national parks and the badlands are one on my favorites. The back country hikes there are my favorite! I love deer haven trail. Also the fact you can go off the trail there!
Ooo next time we will have to go into the backcountry! Just googled that hike and it looks beautiful!
Adventures of A plus K yes it’s amazing! It gets a little confusing if you haven’t done it before with someone that knows the way because there really isn’t a trail, and when you get into the trees you have to find your way to the top on your own. But once on the top the views are beautiful!
It sounds like a super fun adventure! Does it get busy? We had only heard much about the day hikes before our trip.
Funny enough, we have never seen a rattlesnake on a trail, even after living in Texas most of our lives! Not sure we want to change that lol!
Love the no drone zone respect. Thanks for noting that. Great video.
We'd love to visit the national parks of USA one day. Loved the landscape at Badlands - very otherwordly!
Where are you from? The national parks are incredible! We love how beautiful and accessible they are.
It would be cool to see it through kids eyes! Did they enjoy it?
@@AdventuresofAplusK They loved it! Only one injury (a scratched knee and elbow)at the badlands lol. They also loved "the rock with faces on it" or "mountain Rushmore" both names they like to call it lol.
Hahaha that is so cute!!!
I remember when I did notch trail definitely a cool hike!
Sooo fun!
Ooo yes y’all gotta stay there! It’s so incredible and lots of spots for rigs! And we are all on board for the drone purchase, it’s worth it!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'll contract Adam to teach me :)
Going in May! So excited and thank you for the video!!
It’s an amazing park! Have a great time!
You guys should check out hill city, it's a cute little town, everyone is so nice, and if you do definitely stop by the coffee and fudge shop called Trutle Town. Hope you guys enjoy the black hills! ♡
I think we drove through there the first day of our trip! Adding Turtle town to our list for next time. We love fudge!
Very cool! Often wondered what the badlands looked like!
They are pretty bad! 😉 Here I am making bad jokes again! 😜
@@AdventuresofAplusK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You need to go back to Moab and do Arches & Canyonlands. Our family went this summer! We loved it. Moab is awesome!
We cannot wait to do the 3 parks in that area! We wanted to last fall, but it snowed, so we had to re-route 😭 That area is sooo beautiful! 😍
Definitely an underrated Park and part of the country
We couldn’t agree more!
Thank you for the the suggested app. I never knew about AIRMAP. 👍
Of course! It has been a great resource for us!
Can’t wait to see wall drug this morning! Love watching your videos!
Have a great time Dylan!
@@AdventuresofAplusK thanks!
This made me put Badlands on our list of places to go 👍
Ahh yay! It’s totally worth a spot on that list! 🙌🏼
Those formations are amazing!
It's sooo wild there!
Bummer you missed the yellow mounds area of the park. The most beautiful part of the park!
It is a beautiful part of the park! We actually did stop there at 11:23 😊
Hey, you two...don't forget to check out Sioux Falls, to get your water falls fix in our wonderful city.
We sure did! That’ll be in two videos! 😄
This is so cool! Well done
Thank you! 😄

Oh we’re so glad to hear you had a wonderful trip! Custer could be a National Park. I don’t recall about the water. Thanks, Susan!
