Just leave the drain/fill hose attached to the valve, put a rubber plug/stopper in the end of the hose after youre done & you wont ever spill a drop 👍👍👍👍😊😉

Does once your done refilling the tank with the fx. Once you open the intake does the fx refill itself and drop the water level in your tank?

If your going to use the Fluval FX to do a water change, you could use a pirex dish to catch any spillage or just put the towel under the hose when you remove it. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Great video, thanks! I have and use the fx4 on my fish tank. I don’t use that bottom valve because it feels flimsy and don’t wanna take the chance of breaking it, so I leave it alone, lol. I just use the Python hose instead directly from the sink faucet. I put some prime in the fish tank right before turning the faucet water on. Cheers.

Didn't know it could pump water into the tank as well!

If you had the bucket of clean replacement water ready, you could have just left the hose on the bottom drain the whole time... Seems like the less on and off of that spigot the better.

Thank you for an informative video. What lights are you using for the big tank? Are those lights good for growing low-medium light plants?

At the time of this video I was using Led Flood lights from amazon, but unfortunately they didn't last very long. I have since switched to Fluval Plant Led 48" and that does great for plants.

How long has it been since you cleaned the tubing? How long has the tank been set up?

Thanks, so for people wanting to fully remove water from their tank, what do you suggest? I was hoping the fluval could do a full water removal. I like that it fills the water pretty well though

I would drain as much as you can with the filter but use a external pump to get the water down even more. If you can tilt the tank so that the filter can get more water out. If you can tilt the tank I would scoop out the rest of the water with a cup. I you can lift the tank I would drain as much as you can and just dump the water out.
