  • I would like to share with you the first video of the course that I'm currently working on for my Patreon page which will be all about Greek Musical Modes and how they are associated with Flamenco. How it helps us understand a little bit more the musicality behind the Palos.
    The course is going to be out sometime in December or January.
    It is one of the two courses that I am working on at the moment therefor it will require a little bit more patience.
    I will soon also announce the second course.
    I hope you enjoy this video and that you find it helpful in any way.
    Let me know if you do!
    As always, take care and stay safe.

    Your playing is so relaxed, to the exemplary technical virtuosic level / perfect 'compas', I am a Classical Guitarist and I am learning to play FLAMENCO music. I love the tone of that GUITAR, who is the LUTHIER? Thank You for the inspiration Maestro.

    On the E you can also play the third mode of the Major Harmonic scale, so you have that nice #9 and you don't think about that A that's almost never played

    Nicely produced and impeccable playing. It's interesting to see the simple explanation in the beginning with demos of the modes, after a while it's a lot of the same. "yea he knows a lot of palos" though.
    what would be a good follow-up is the distinction between the palos of the same tonic. What are the characteristics, like cadence/progression/attitude/rhythms/speeds/phrases that make a specific Palo recognizeable and reconstructable. A Palo tool box so to say.
    A huge task, but I feel like the closing words lead up to something like that for future videos. Right?
    Thank you for the great videos, very motivational.

    Muy bueno Luciano. Más allá de lo académico de la harmonía, la excursión por los palos en 40 minutos, tocado a compás y bien auténtico es lo que vale oro para mi en este video. Saludos y mucha suerte con el curso, estoy muy interesado.

    • @Thiago_Alves_Souza
      @Thiago_Alves_Souza ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He's not really doing a C note, he's basing it on the shape of a C chord without a capo. He's really doing D major but the shapes and starting point as being different modal tonality.

    • @Duende70
      @Duende70 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Thiago_Alves_Souza Thank you, you are very kind answering my one year old question. I am too stupid learning theory, I concentrate on right hand technic and rhythm and one phrygian and two major and minor scales only... until I will be delighted by accident in future... 🙂
